Poor after-sales customer service
Unfortunately, the after-sales customer service I have received from Fishpools has not met my expectations.
Whilst everyone was extremely attentive and responsive throughout the sales process, the aftercare experience has felt quite different. My mum is still waiting for one of her sofas to be delivered and, although we were aware that this item would arrive at a later date, both sofas have now exceeded their expected delivery dates.
On almost every occasion, I have had to chase Fishpools directly for updates rather than being proactively informed. I was advised that "the system is set up to call customers if anything is running 10 days or so late," which, in my opinion, falls short of the level of service and care that is promised during the purchasing process.
It feels as though, once payment has been received, the responsibility to keep customers informed significantly diminishes. Regular communication and managing customer expectations should be a fundamental part of the service, particularly when delays occur.
As a result, we feel extremely disappointed with our experience, and it has unfortunately put us off purchasing from Fishpools again in the future.

Both your sofa and chair were unfortunately delayed by the supplier beyond the original estimated lead time. Your sofa was successfully delivered in May, and your chair was scheduled for delivery. As a gesture of goodwill, we also agreed to pre-book this delivery for you, which is not a service we would normally offer, to help provide greater convenience.
When placing an order, we provide estimated delivery dates based on the latest information available from our suppliers. These dates are not guaranteed, and while we endeavour to communicate significant changes, we appreciate that you would have preferred more proactive updates throughout the process.
We are genuinely sorry that this experience has left you feeling disappointed, as this is never the impression we want to leave with our customers. Your feedback regarding our after-sales communication has been noted and will be shared with the relevant teams as we continually look for ways to improve our service.

Excellent delivery service
The delivery was bang on time and the guys were very efficient and polite. They prepared the space well, protecting doors and carpets. They lifted the furniture from the car park up to my top floor flat with cheerfulness and professionalism. They then placed the items exactly where they needed to be. Excellent service!

Steve and his colleague were polite and good humoured despite the 33 degree heat and did a careful job in delivering and setting up our new bed. As soon as they could they queried whether a mistake had been made with the order, which there had. They would report this back but left us with a bed to use.

First time customer - Impresses
We have been shopping around for dining furniture for a while now and popped in, (even though the store was around a 40min trip each way). What really set the experience apart was the friendly nature of the staff as well as the the absence of hard-selling/upselling.
We were helped by Tony Bruce, who I genuinely felt was a true gentleman. No pressure to spend big/upsell, offering sound advice and encouraging us to look through colour swatches in different lighting against different backgrounds to ensure a we were happy with our choices.
We have now placed an order for some (hopefully!) quality dining furniture.
Thanks to Tony and the team. Lets hope the products match the service!
