Dear Brett,
Thank you for your review of Fisketorvet – Copenhagen Mall. Our guests’ feedback is essential to our efforts to provide a good experience to all centre visitors. We are very sorry that your visit here at Fisketorvet – Copenhagen Mall did not live up to your (or our) expectations.
On behalf of Fisketorvet – Copenhagen Mall, we would like to apologize for the parking ticket you received during your visit. Our parking rule providing 3 hours of free parking was decided years ago, as many worried that the parking facilities would be used by commuters wishing to park here and then go to work in the city centre, and, thus, no parking places would be available for the center’s own guests – which of course would be poor customer service. There are more than 140 signs around Fisketorvet’s parking facilities that in Danish/English and German advice customers of the necessity of setting their parking disk when visiting the centre. Furthermore, there are also signs at all entrances to remind visitors to set their parking disk.
Currently we are refurbishing our parking facilities and for a temporary period we have established business with Parkzone, as well as working with marking of the different types of parking areas and parking bays. Some areas may seem a little difficult to understand as a guest (including markings of our staff parking area) and that you should of course not be punished for.
In 2016 we are introducing a new parking system, where guest who have parked for more than 3 hours will pay a sum to park for longer, as in many other parking facilities. Luckily we have many guest who wish to stay for many hours and we would not want them to receive parking tickets just because they forgot the time. Unfortunately the process of changing the parking system takes a while due to a lengthy approval process for the necessary adjustments of access and exit conditions.
Thus, we are not interested in our customers being greeted with parking tickets after visiting our centre, so when there are reasonable grounds to cancel the parking ticket, we will do so. However, I would like to urge you to remember to park within the marked parking bays and set your parking disk, until our new parking system is in place. If you wish to park for more than 3 hours, all we ask is that you return to your car before the end of your 3 hours and reset your parking disk for an additional 3 hours (You are not required to move your car). Additionally you can park for 4 hours before having to reset the parking disk if you are a member of Mit Fisketorvet (it is free – read more at http://www.fisketorvet.dk/W/do/centre/fordelsrabatteruk).
Tip: When watching an all-night movie in CinemaxX, you can require a free parking permit for 6 hours when contacting the staff in CinemaxX.
You are welcome to contact us by email, so we can take a look at your parking ticket. Our contact details are available on our website: http://www.fisketorvet.dk/W/do/centre/kontakt.
We hope to see you again at Fisketorvet – Copenhagen Mall.
Best regards,
Fisketorvet - Copenhagen Mall
