Disappointed First visit.

First visit.
Touch screens were quite difficult to use, had to really heavy handed.
Chose my items. Perhaps my choice, but the tomato made the bun very soggy and the burger had very little taste, bland!!
The portion of chips was enormous so I wasted half of those, would have preferred a smaller portion, paying for a portion I didn't eat wasn’t good value, milkshake okay but nothing special large amount of foam!!
Would I ever go to these outlets, No!

Hi Jacqueline, thanks for leaving us a review. We're sorry to hear about your recent visit to Liverpool Street.

To confirm, we do not use seasoning on our burgers as a standard. The burgers are cooked well done and juicy, and we also don't use any additional oils to cook the beef. Any clear juice on the bun is expected and means the burger has been cooked to our standard.

Our fries are sharing portions, a Little is recommended for one person whilst a Large can be shared between 3-4 people. We also hand-spin our shakes as opposed to mixing in a blender.

We hope this explains more about Five Guys.

Well today was my long awaited first…

Well today was my long awaited first visit to a five guys . Today I could actually afford it whilst on a family trip in London. We went to the five guys directly across from Liverpool street Station in London.
What an awful experience! .
We where not sure on the menu as we've never been ,we waited in the queue for 20 mins and had decided to simply have a cheese burger and fries each .
We get to the till and my wife tries to order hers first and asked for a cheeseburger and fries ,instantly the server abruptly asked "what just a cheese burger " my wife said tell you what I will try the bacon cheeseburger and again was stopped abruptly and the server banged a red sign stuck to the table and said "which toppings" .my wife feeling the animosity from the server simply said oh all of them and the server burst out laughing and started ranting about toppings infront of a packed shop full of customers. My wife settled on the all the way burger still habe no idea what it was other than seemed to be a bacon cheeseburger with salad ,my wife asked for fries and again instantly "which fries " regular, large or sharing fries we advise sharing fries.
My wife just said it's ok no fires or drink .
Next it was my turn and I thought I will make it simple and just ask for a cheeseburger and nothing else ,we'll that didn't go well did it .
Soon as I said cheeseburger the side was banged and I was demanded to give toppings so I said just lettuce please and was faced with a barrage of just lettuce nobody has just lettuce ,I stuck to my order and refused fries or drink and was then told is there anypoint in ordering food here !!!.
£39 for 2 burgers no fries no drinks .
Worst food experience I've ever had in 44 years of my life so far ! As you can guess my burger was awfully dry and so cold the cheese hadn't melted and the wife's bacon cheeseburger "all the way" was a mix of very cold salad a mix of sauces .
Only burger place I've been where the bun isn't toasted .
Needless to say I'm glad the food was bad as now I can understand why the service is bad .
Awful awful

Hi John, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review about your visit to Five Guys. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Everything is cooked to order at Five Guys, with the burgers served fresh off the grill on a toasted bun. Our buns toasted to have a rough exterior, rather than golden bread, which may be different than expected at other brands.

We do not pre-melt the cheese in our 2 patty burgers, therefore you may see the corner when opening the foil. Our toppings are served at a temp of 5 Celcius as per food safety standards, with the exception of the grilled toppings.

So we can investigate accordingly, please get in touch via the Customer Feedback form: https://fiveguys.co.uk/contact

Vastly overpriced for a basic burger

Vastly overpriced for a basic burger. Nothing special. £23 for a burger, milkshake and a stupid amount of cheap fries to start an obesity epidemic. Never again. Burger King just as good, if not better (as they are flame grilled) for half the price or less.

Hi Keith, thanks for getting in touch with us.

Our prices reflect quality - we use only premium ingredients which are hand prepped by the team in store every morning, no freezers so the beef and everything else is fresh, and your food is cooked to order. Simplicity allows us to focus on quality and taste. The fries are made to be sharing portions with a Large recommended between 3-4 people.

We hope that explains more about Five Guys.
