This is a waste of money I done my PC…

This is a waste of money I done my PC and laptop came to do my ideal pad said I have used too many times rip of paid £80 for this bit of crap 11.02.2023 wants me to renew subscription not a cat in jell chance rip of once never twice by same company done nothing for any of my devices trade and standards informed I will update when I get word back

Never worked. Random "renewals despite cancellations. Unsatisfactory service.

The Fix me Stick I bought many, many years ago never worked.
I believe I asked for my money back, but I can't be sure.

What I DO remember is that there was a random charge on my account a year or more later.

That charge was reversed, and my account was cancelled.

Last week I found a renewal for my cancelled account and the service has been horrible.

I wish I had thought of copying and pasting it here.

I've asked for the expiry date of the cc used. I've asked for the date of original purchase- which I think was 2014ish. I've asked several other things and this Dave guy just keep ignoring me and saying"Half the charge refund ok.".

I'm starting to think it's a bot running.

I will definitely be following up with the fraud department of my CC company.

Spent over 30 minutes yesterday trying…

Spent over 30 minutes yesterday trying to speak to technical people,automatted message informing me we are busy, leave message with your contact details and we will get back to you, this I have done. Now over 24 hours later still no body has been in contact. Called they number again, went straight to voice message, same as before, I can only conclude the product is faulty, or they are going out of bussiness, or with this kind of service they should be. The service this company is delivering is outregeous. I have emailed the CEO Marty Algire, he to hasn’t bothered to get in touch!!!!!!.
It would appear I have a product that is now totally useless, not fit for purpose and destined for the bin/trash, I look forward to hearing from you, but wont hold my breath, case referance 614010 will have all my details.

SCAM?

SCAM - zero support put their product in the bin and put it down to experience. Then to my shock they extracted £50+ from my PayPal account without my permission! As the support period has barely started and their “product” is long gone I do not want it need their “support” . PayPal dispute process sides with them! Unbelievable, to me this is blatant theft. They offered me 50% ??? For what ? I want 0% of their service. Pathetic , short sighted company , I hope this review costs the 10X what they stole from me .

update: 29June2022. Full refund received shame it had to come to this. Customer Service should be the no.1 asset of a company in MY view. Case closed.

computer crashes

I purchased this and ran it on two computers. The one took 19 hours and found 2 viruses. The second found none. Since running the FixMe Stick, both computers have crashed. I could see that on one computer, both when both crash there has to be a flaw someshere

Disappointed

I recently contact FixMeStick with the following questions...
I have read on your website that my FMS is not compatible with newer Macbooks which would explain why I cannot get the start up screen to get EFI boot. If this is correct, when can I expect the issue of a FMS that is compatible?
I have paid for 12 months of use for something that will not do the job and I think I can reasonably expect a refund from the time I purchased my new laptop which was 19th May until such time as a compatible FMS becomes available.
The response was derisory:
Unfortunately it is hard for me to give you a concrete timeline on when we will be compatible with newer Macs. I am also unable to process a refund since we are past the 45 days mark after purchase.
I truly apologize for this but I have turned off auto renewal which means you will never be billed by us again.

I have purchased a FMS that has become obsolete within a few months. I am yet to receive a satisfactory settlement.

Disappointed with FixMeStick

After years as a happy FixMeStick customer I was shocked to find a $100.00 charge for support on my credit card. Up to this point support was free and friendly. I received no notice that support was no longer free. The problem was caused by an update to Windows 10. Rather than issue a fix to all customers they let me use support and charge me. There is no way to contact FixMeStick except through support for which they will charge me. The phone number has been removed. There is no way to contact administration. I cannot withdraw my subscription.

Run For Hills!!

At one point I thought fix me stick was the product of the future and the company was 10 Stars but after what I found out today and how I was misled they got some serious trouble on their hands. This is my story. Anyone that refutes it. They'll meet me in court!!
When I first found out about FixMeStick it was on television through home shopping Network. I was so enamored with the product that I said I have to give it a shot. I was having trouble with my computer and I said maybe this will work. I got on the phone I ordered it and that was it. One important fact was left out that could have probably saved me a laptop and a ton of music that I had on my laptop because I'm a disc jockey. If you go into a store and you purchase fix me stick the only support you can count on is through email. There's no phone number and everything is a process. So after my first experience with fix me stick I thought well everything should be a breeze after this I mean it picked up a virus that my antivirus program didn't pick up. So you can say I was smitten with the program until the day it happened. Something was wrong with my computer and something was wrong with FixMeStick. Fix me stick would not update. When you use fix me stick the first thing it does is that it updates all of the virus definitions. For some reason fix me stick would not update. So I emailed fix me stick and they couldn't figure it out. Then they had me do something that I warn anybody out there DO NOT DO TOUCH THE BIOS!! Unless you know exactly what you were doing I repeat do not touch the BIOS. I was convinced by their technician with their instructions that everything would be okay just follow their directions. I followed the directions and everything just fell apart. My computer was worse. It would not start up not even in safe mode. I told fixmrstick what happened and they did nothing they didn't offer any phone support and I want you to remember about something that I said in the beginning. I purchased this on television at HSN. I went and I hired a technician to try and solve my problem with my computer. He brought in all of this fancy gadgetry and couldn't do nothing as he told me that my computer is shot. I lost tens of thousands of dollars worth of music and I was destroyed. Here's what I found out today. Because I purchased my FixMeStick through home HSN I was entitled to phone support!! I was entitled to phone support because when I purchased it through home shopping that made me a lifetime client to fix me stick. Do you think anybody at that company will would realize this? The answer is absolutely not!! Do you think that they would look at my records and see that I purchased it at home shopping because there is a questionnaire and they ask you where did you get your FixMeStick and I told them on home shopping. Nobody looked. That is a breach of contract and I'm coming after them. They as a company are responsible to back up what they claim and today on the phone with this young lady I was told that I was a lifetime client. I was so upset because I wanted to give her are you a good dose of verbal abuse but decided against it because I didn't have the heart to do it to her. But what I have the heart to do is warn each and every one of you out there STAY AWAY from this company!!!! For some unknown reason they do not want to offer phone support. If someone would have taken the time to look at my record and see that I was a lifetime client I just still might have that computer today up and running. Because of nothing but sheer INCOMPETENCY I had to go out and purchase a new computer and purchase the music that I lost. I hold fix me stick responsible. In closing most companies if not all or for some sort of phone support. Sometimes you have to pay for it and sometimes you get it for free but but this company offers none!!! They are not worth the toilet paper that I use in the bathroom!!

I doubt it is needed

I have two computers which have both gone very slow with their internet connection, even though other devices have no problem. I checked reviews in PC mags online and it was very highly rated. I bought it for £60 (£10 offer is not real). Ran the device on both computers and it found nothing. What this tells me is that my existing virus protection software hasn't missed anything and FixMeStick was an unnecessary purchase. I don't doubt that it works, I just doubt that is needed. Also very strange that FixMeStick has been around since 2018 and mine is the first review...Really!
