Kane was great

Kane was great, quick to reply to the queries and offers very reasonable prices. On top of assembly he was able to find someone that would also hang curtains - other companies were refusing this or even fixing the wardrobe to the wall.

He sent Ben and Omar to assemble 2 IKEA Pax wardrobes, both of them were friendly, professional and overall great. Couldn't have asked for anyone better!

Thank you all, can't really express how much I appreciate the service provided

So Glad I Found This Company…

I am really pleased that I found this company to build my flat packs. Everything went so smoothly. Kane responded straight away and quickly gave a price for the job. Jason came out to do all the diy. He was such a hard worker and did a really excellent job. He was pleasant and polite and gave useful advice. For the amount of work that was done it was a very reasonable price. There were no hidden extras. I will definitely be using this company again and will recommend them to anyone. Thank you Jason for all your hard work

Impressed by initial phone contact with…

Impressed by initial phone contact with Kane who kept me in touch. Jason arrived on time to complete 3 different jobs. Two of the jobs required perseverance to complete and this was shown in spades. All work was done perfectly without fuss and with good humour at a very reasonable price. I have no hesitation in recommending this company

I would 100% recommend The Flat Pack…

I would 100% recommend The Flat Pack Construction Company. We have recently moved house and had bought 3 flat packed wardrobes which all needed assembling. We contacted the company and received a quick reply and a very reasonable quote after sending them images of the wardrobes. The first wardrobe was assembled within a day of us moving in and took just over an hour. We were impressed with the speed and accuracy all our wardrobes were assembled and the space was left clean and tidy. The installer was friendly and positioned the wardrobes where we needed them. It would have taken me days to assemble them so money well spent and lots of time saved to ensure a good installation.

Flat pack construction company

Flat pack construction company - more like flat pack destruction company.
We engaged this firm in April 2024 to build five items of furniture. A large sliding door wardrobe, two chests of drawers, a double bed and a shoe storage rack.
David Clouting was the man they sent to do the job. From the start David was like a bull in a china shop. He rushed about trying to get things done as quickly as possible in a heavy handed manner.
He built the first chest of drawers and then began to use it as a worktop to build further items, we heard loud hammering items being dropped around and David swearing to himself so we went to the bedroom to offer our help but he declined saying that he works better by himself, it was then when we noticed the chest of drawers with dents and large chips. David said that it was already like that when he took it out if its package then he carried on in a bad mood rushing and banging items.
My partner noticed yet another large chip on the side of the first chest of drawers larger than the size of a pound coin. David said he accidentally did it but had the audacity of telling us not to worry as he had some filler to sort it!
We felt intimidated and obligated to let him carry on building our new furniture in fear of him damaging them further and because we needed the items to be built as soon as possible, but having David rushing and loudly banging everything he was doing was very stressful adding to an already stressful time when recently moving house, his behaviour was totally reckless and unacceptable.
He also dragged the newly built furniture across our brand new Amtico floor, our Amtico floor had a thin layer of floor protector which didn’t not stop it from becoming scratched.
When he assembled the large wardrobe he didn’t ask us which height we wanted the hanging rails and shelves but did grudgingly move them when I pointed that that were too high for my partner to reach. Worse though – we discovered afterwards that he tried to attach the wardrobe doors upside down and there were several large screw holes in the wrong end of the door where there shouldn’t be any holes at all.
We asked if he could attach the wardrobe to the wall and he said he could do it but said that he wasn’t too happy about it. David did agree to do it but never actually did it. This is a concern as it’s a large double wardrobe and should be attached to the wall for safety reasons.
When David left there was mess everywhere. Bits of polystyrene, cardboard, wood dust all over the bedroom along with small chunks of chip board and veneer that should have been part of our new furniture but instead where strewn over the floor. The stair case and hallway were also full of dust and mess. There was also damage to our walls and door frames where items had been carelessly moved and leaned against door frames inappropriately.

When it was time for him to complete his last part of the job which was a medium shoe storage rack in the hallway, we had to politely request that he be extra careful with it as it’s a high gloss unit. In fact we were so concerned about David causing further damage that we carefully unpacked this item ourselves and carefully laid each panel on protective plastic ready for him to access and build it. When he completed building it and was packing up to leave we noticed that the top drawer was wonky and we had to ask him to correct it, he reluctantly did so but made us feel bad for asking as he was checking his phone and expressing concern that he didn’t want to miss his train. Unfortunately in the process of correcting it he broke one of the parts inside which holds the drawer, when my partner asked him if he could at least glue it he agreed but we later discovered that he didn’t actually do it.
When he left we told David that we were disappointed with his work, he didn’t really take our complaint seriously and told us that he’d left us a quarter of a tube of “magic polyfiller” we could use to fix the damaged items!
After this terrible experience, we wrote to Kane the boss of the company and provided many photos of the damaged items. He did eventually refund us the construction fee but would not pay anything towards replacing the damaged items or towards the damage caused to the plaster board on the bedroom wall and door frames.
I recommend steering well clear of this company and finding an alternative such as a local handyman to assemble your furniture.

Very impressed with the service…

Very impressed with the service provided. Kane responded to emails very quickly. Furniture was delivered on Friday and assembled on Tuesday.

Craig and Marie from CMS Furniture Assembly did an excellent job and the assembly was completed quickly and to a very high standard.

I would recommend both FPCC and CMS and would not hesitate to use them again.
