I ordered 3 items. The items didn’t arrive so after 10 days I have approached the shop and they told me that they need to find out what happend to the delivery. After several days they told me that my parcel will be re-send. I waited another 10 days and the parcel came - unfortunately with only 1 item so I emailed the shop again. I found out that the courier couldn’t find my address and they re-send it again but they never arrived. The shop decided to refund my money but charged me £10 for delivery. I asked them why am I paying for delivery since only 1 item was delivered and I wasted 1 month for emailing with them. They said that’s the delivery charge for anything. Now they left me with 1 item - I need another 2 the same to match but they didn’t offer it. The customer service send messages like AI. Avoid it

dont use this company its all just lip service, warrentys mean nothing at all.

Poor quality product and dismissive company – shop elsewhere

I ordered an entrance floor mat from Flodi on 29th September 2025. Within weeks it began falling apart, with bald patches and tufts coming loose. I reported this on 22nd October 2025 with clear photos.

Rather than addressing the issue, the company dismissed it as “improper use” without evidence or explanation. The mat has only been used exactly as intended. Their tone throughout was abrupt and unhelpful.

A product that starts disintegrating in under a month is simply not fit for purpose. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, faults appearing within six months are presumed to be manufacturing defects — yet Flodi refused any resolution.

I have now escalated this through American Express (Section 75) and Trading Standards. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to shop elsewhere if you expect quality products or basic customer care.

Gaslighting 101

I purchased a home office chair mat which failed on the first day. It marked instantly, could not support a chair, and the surface finish was already coming off.

When I contacted the company they responded by saying it was not possible for a new item to be damaged within two days unless I had used it improperly. They said they had sold exceptionally high quantities of this product with consistently positive feedback and that no complaint like mine had ever been received. They suggested the problem must have come from improper use, insufficient care, or compatibility issues with other products.

What they are doing:

Denying reality without evidence. They said “it is unfortunately not possible for a new item to be damaged within two days unless it is used improperly”. That is a baseless assertion. Of course a product can fail immediately. Their blanket statement is dismissive, not fact-based.

Shifting blame onto me. They implied the problem must be due to “improper use, insufficient care, or compatibility issues”. This places responsibility on the customer instead of acknowledging the item was defective.

Appeal to popularity. They argued that because many units were sold and no other complaint was received, mine could not be valid. That is irrelevant.

Withholding due process. A proper seller would first ask for evidence such as photos or order details. Instead they jumped directly to denial.

These responses are clear examples of gaslighting. Instead of acknowledging the defect, they denied it could happen, implied I was at fault, and relied on irrelevant arguments rather than taking responsibility.

I had to remind them of my legal right to withdraw within 14 days and of the legal guarantee before they even considered that I could return the item.

The product failed immediately and the company tried to make me doubt what I was seeing rather than resolve the issue.

Web image misrepresents item colour

Colour of item received (grandeur stair treads) was significantly different vs image on website and looks awful is-situ. Whilst Flodi customer services (eventually) advised the address for the return (no info on website) they repeatedly failed to accept it was reasonable for me to ask them to pay the return postage cost (UK to Germany) citing device settings variations and the fact that they had not sent an incorrect item. I studied their web image on an iPhone and Laptop and the image looked the same so I would dispute. I wish I’d read reviews first as wouldn’t have ordered. In essence they need to create better/higher res images that accurately depict the item colour.

Unable to reach company

I wanted to buy a rug, however, the photos on the listing didn't match the colours and not all were shown. I contacted them twice as I wanted to see the difference in colour as two of them had no photos. They never responded to my emails so I was unable to purchase which was dissapointing.

I don't know if the other colours even exist or if they are all the same, it does look like the colours on the photos are photoshopped/edited and not real examples of the product.

Wrong product sent.

I ordered a length of flooring and then sent a totally different product. You cannot phone them. I emailed them with photos and a week later i have not heard anything. They are based in germany but have a uk web address. I cant start a dispute as the only site i found is if you are in the eu. Very poor. Guessing i am not getting my money back, or the product i ordered.

Very happy with my order :D

After reading the other reviews here it was with much trepidation I placed an order with Flodi for a 150cm x 150cm polycarbonate chair mat/floor protector, something I needed but could not find elsewhere. Paid via paypal to protect myself and risked it for a biscuit.

Was absolutely delighted that my fears were misplaced. Yes, this company is based in Germany, and no, didn't get any email communication to say it had been dispatched, but hey presto it arrived today after ordering 8 days ago.

Really happy with it. As described, perfect for my needs, had a pealable back film that protects it from scratches until you're ready to pop it down. Very high transparency, can see the vinyl floor very clearly beneath when sun isn't shining off it. It's finished well, no rough edges or lip on the underside that might scratch the floor you put it on.

Compared to the floor protector I ordered from Ikea that arrive highly scuffed after travelling 15 miles, I'm pleasantly surprised!

Order did not arrive

I ordered stair treads on 17/3. No shipping / dispatch email received so I chased it up after almost a week. Heard back to say that the parcel had been lost and that no replacements are available. I don't believe it was sent. Now I await the refund and I am having to find an alternative - very surprising that they did not suggest another closely matching product from their range of similar products if they really do have stock of the items listed on their site!! Smells very dodgy. Avoid!

Absolutely horrendous experience.

The website intimates it's UK based but it's in Germany and no idea where the items are actually shipped from. Delivery time was 5-8 days but item never arrived. Contacted and said they would resend as the UK courier couldn't provide tracking info.....they never resent the order.

I then got tracking info with delivery notification and a picture which was not my address or porch for the original delivery, not the promised re shipment. As they provided a valid tracking number, PayPal refused my case so I am £90 out of pocket and no goods.

Avoid like the plague if you want shoddy service and to get stung!

Very disappointed

o dear, o dear. Why o why did I not check on Trustpilot before I ordered. Waiting for heavy duty hall runner, no sign of dispatch and no update. Do not mind waiting if they would keep me informed but they just blank me. Lesson well learned. Hope my bitter experience will warn others to shop elsewhere.

Be really careful

We needed a bespoke floor mat, which is long and non-standard colour. Flodi have a great product, which has plenty of colours to choose from.

Without opportunity to order samples, we did our due diligence in checking colour on the website on many different phones and laptops to make sure the colour we chose was what we needed.

The mat arrived, and at nearly £200 was not a cheap purchase. The mat is way off the colour on any device we checked and not fit for purpose. I contacted Flodi to see what options we had and were told there was nothing they could do. No offer to assist, even in the form of a discount for another mat or helping with samples.

£200 down the drain.

Bologna standard measure order

10 days for a standard measure mat to arrive from Germany to UK.
I previously ordered a custom measured one and it took a lot longer, probably because it had to be cut.
I liked it so.much, I ordered another one for my hallway.
Customer support was very good. Tracking given (upon asking).
I would definitely use them again.
