Confusing and non functional interface on missing miles claim

The interface claiming missing miles is non-functional - basically it didnt work, despite of me having added all the necessary documents, info.
Thankfully, chatting with someone from support I was finally able to activate my miles without any problem. Thanks Marat!
Technical support saved the one-star * I was going to add..

Problems claiming missing miles

Our experience with Flying Blue was really awful. Booked flights to California with Delta, schedule changes meant we had to travel on flights with Virgin - how discover we won’t get miles - and we had more than 11 hours bertween connections (5 on the way out and 6 on the return).
Contacted Flying Blue to claim miles and they would not do this. Such an inflexible system deliberately booked with Skyteam partner ... will be considering carefully which airline we go with in future.

Transferred chase points to flying blue…

Transferred chase points to flying blue for a flight. 3 different flights worked for me and i had the points for anyone of those 3 flights. I go to book. None of the three allowed me to book online. Had to call. They said none of those available for the 55k points on their website. Have to pay 113k points for those flights. I cant transfer points back to chase and now im stuck with 55k points with flying blue whose website full of fake seats wont let me use them. Dont ever transfer points to them after looking at their flights. They are just trying to steal your points and wont let you use them.

Apauling Loyalty Program

Flying Blue so called Loyalty Program can be described as anything but a loyalty program, unless you are part of the population who uses AF at least 20 times a year and mainly travels business class, and preferably long distance.
Lost its interest all along its reshuffling

As a summary, the program is :
1) not customer oriented
2) complicated to understand, not flexible
3) mainly reserved to those who already use AF 20 times a year preferably long distance in business class
4) less and less valuable for customers all along the changes of rules,

Problems with check-in

Problems with check-in. Checking in is not an easy process. I've never been treated a badly as I have been by their customer service - that is if you even get a hold of them. They skirt their customers unashamedly. Will actively avoid them in the future.

Most difficult carrier to claim miles

Most difficult carrier to claim miles. They make it impossible. Never will it give you the miles when you have entered in your member number prior to flying. You always have to do it manually after the fact, which requires you to first, have saved the boarding pass, and second, claim the miles within 6 months and the process is very time consuming. Just to sign up the program for me and my wife was very difficult but we managed to do so after a few tries and a couple of days later..

Been on hold for over 20 minutes to try and get into my account. You can't email them to work out issues on your account...but they sure can spam you with marketing material that you can't respond to ! Good bye Flying Blue. What a waste of time. Oh and their unsubscribe link doesn't work..access denied...neither does their cancel my membership link on their marketing emails. How convenient.

Flying Blue "reinvented" - a new way to get rid of the "small" loyal customer

In short, the so called "reinvented" Flying Blue (FB) program forces me to pull back from using KLM's services from the next year on. I don't use AF, obviously, because they'll be on strike anytime you need them.

The way I see it is that the "reinvented" FB has one purpose: To reduce the number of "small" gold members = less crowd in the lounge for the free food and drinks, right?

Folks like me who travel with KLM, and mainly within Europe, relied upon number of flights to maintain gold status. Before, the necessary number of flights with KLM was 30, now it is 36 (20% increase). This is if you are not Dutch and have to fly via Amsterdam every time. This was my main motivation to always fly KLM via Amsterdam, even if I'd have a direct flight to my destination at half the price with another airline. The other being that the KLM crew are always nice, polite, reliable, and take care of you.

FB, why not try to attract more loyal customers with your reward program, rather than get rid of the ones you already have? Is it giving us away to the budget airlines, where we can fly for 1/5 of the price really the way to go?

Much Better Than Miles and More

Compared to Miles and More at Lufthansa Swiss, Air France and Sky Delta partners do a great job. Your miles are usually accounted for. Their systems do "talk to each other". So much about German efficiency

This has to be the most absurd user …

This has to be the most absurd user interface.

How can I login into my account if the pin is not working?
Obviously people will go to : "reset my password"
But in your site this does not exist and according to your page: to access customer service via email please login.

I am trapped and now need to call. I just lost 15 minutes of my life. Including trying your online customer chat. That does not work either!

Horrible customer service - Impossible to claim miles

Horrible customer service. It's almost impossible to claim missing miles.
Who in their right mind will hold on to their boarding pass 4 months after travel. The customer service agent (called Mary Smith) was rude and arrogant. Feels like a deliverable policy on their part

No availability - EVER, and they created flex awards to make you use more Miles

I think FB must be the worst loyalty program ever. For years I have been trying to use our Miles to book flights for my family but there is NEVER availablitiy during school holidays. Also, I can't get an Award upgrade unless I purchase a more expensive ticket.

I recently finally found some availability but had to pay 90.000 Miles for three one way flights from Geneva to Amsterdam. They call this "Flex" awards but it should be called "we don't want to offer Awards on flights for the advertised 10.000 Miles so we will charge you 3x as many Miles to discourage you from buying Award tickets."

In addition, direct flights operated by KLM are discouraged by charging more Miles so people take two flights which has a more negative impact on the environment.

Finally, I have sent written complaints to their "Customer Services" which have not been answered.
