1 star is too much

I do not like giving even one star. It has very little power even when fully charged and when it is fully charged it does not cut even a small lawn before the batteries die. There are 2 batteries but both are needed to start the mower and both are running out before my modern new houses small lawn is even cut. I would not recommend this mower at all.

Flymo Easilife Go problems

I purchased a . Flymo easilife go 250 from Buy it direct on 1st December 24. Yesterday 24the June 25 I installed this brand new unopened robot mower. I'm 69 so crawling around my large lawn pegging down the boundary wire and guide hard going on my back and knees. After downloading their app and pairing my phone. The app says the mower is LOCKED. After many emails with their customer service dept and proof of purchase and registration done. They say they need more proof of purchase which I don't have. I'm told I have to use a PC or Apple computer to download an update of firmware then connect it to the bottom of the mower and do the download. I don't use a PC I use an Android tablet that's not supported by them. This has cost me £568.00. They now don't want to help any further or they won't. I've told them im leaving feedback here. I have a 2 year warranty for what use that is. I've told them I want a refund under the not fit for the purpose 1979 sale of goods act.

I bought a small Flymo electric mower…

I bought a small Flymo electric mower as I needed light weight, I only have a pocket handkerchief lawn.
The mower is the same as the Flymo contour strimmer that I have left a review about, absolute rubbish, I cannot understand how places like B&Q and other well known retailers can sell such garbage, it’s about as powerful as an an as asthmatic fly, if you don’t cut the lawn every couple of days it just won’t cut it, not enough power to spin the blade, only works if it’s picked up and dropped, plus it keeps over heating and cutting out after a few minutes then have to wait half hour to cool down.

Strimmer and mower are a little under 12 months old, are both going in the bin today, I won’t even rob someone else by trying to sell them on. Please don’t waste your money, take notice of reviews, that’s what they are there for, to save people money.

Never ever consider buying a Flymo

Never ever consider buying a Flymo, I swore by them in the past, but now they are garbage. Three years ago I bought one used it one summer, then went to use it in spring and it just seized up, so I took it to the local Flymo dealer he said it was knackered, he organised a foc replacement through Flymo. I used it for one summer, spring came and exactly the same problem, repeated the process as before. Got another replacement and this spring exactly the same problem.

Flymo mower batteries useless…

Our Flymo EasiStore 340R Li Cordless Rotary Lawn Mower batteries were not fit for purpose. First failure replaced but second only used for 3 months but out of 12 month warranty, was not replaced. Read reviews and Flymo batteries are not reliable but are very expensive and not covered by extended warranty.

Flymo … a household name, with a very bad reputation

I’m so disappointed in Flymo. This universal household name, has now lost my patron. I have an issue with a garden blower and reached out to their customer service telephone number, supplied on the product. After several days calling the number I gave up. When I did seem to get through, having been on hold for ages … as soon as I was connected, the phone was hung up.

I have read other reviews on this company and understand their frustration. I have decided for my own peace of mind AND spending power, Flymo is no longer my go to company.

I purchased a Flymo EasiGlide Plus 300V…

I purchased a Flymo EasiGlide Plus 300V from the Flymo Outlet Store on eBay, this was to replace an old Glider 330 where the motor had burnt out due to one of the bearings seizing. I noticed straight away that the new mower was flimsy compared to the old one. The plastic casing is thinner and the lid on the grass collector didn't fit properly. The Outlet Store sent me a new lid which was a better fit. The handle is plastic tube (the old one is metal) so when tightening the bolts for the cable hooks the handle compresses and splits. When adding the spacers I removed the fan above the blade and found that the centre had a number of cracks, some of which went right through the plastic. In use it was noisy and didn't collect the grass as well as the old mower, probably because the inlet for picking up the grass sits higher above the ground than on the old mower. I returned the mower and received a refund. The suppport from the Outlet Store was good but the quality of Flymo products appears to have deteriorated significantly and I won't be buying any more.

Recently Flymo quality has gone downhill, poor designs now. Bought an easy glide 330v awful design.

Recently bought an easy glide 330v. So poorly designed it went straight back. Can only push forward. Pull it back and the rear digs in the ground exposing the blade as the front flips up. Hardly sucks up the grass and cut is uneven. The lawn looked so bad after the cut. Cant use it sideways as per instructions even though it is a hover mower. No longer a solid molded base which was a proven technology. It appears cheaply made. The Turbo 400 I still have is far superior even though it does not pick up grass, it does cut well. I don't recommend any of the newer designs.

Flymo SimpliMow 32cm Corded Rotary Lawnmower - 320V

I have had 2 Flymo Lawnmowers over the last 40 odd years. Both have been brilliant and I sold them on working to get other models. So basically I have never had a Flymo product let me down in decades.
So decided to buy a new one last week and have a 2024 model. What a mistake.
As soon as I took it out of the box I could see the manufacturing quality of it was pathetic. Nothing like of old?
I assembled it and saw that the mower was flimsy and felt cheap and nasty. But I now only have a small patch of lawn so it was the right size for it.
I began using it and it felt flimsy and not nice to use.
Then after some 10 minutes of use it just stopped?
I blamed my electrics/extension and no, they were 100%
It was the lawnmower, it was dead!
So took it back to Argos and got my money back. I will never buy Flymo again. What a waste of money and more so, where have your standards gone?
I know, down the pan!

Flymo Quality Not What It Used To Be.

I purchased 2 Flymo Easiglide 360 in April 2022, one for myself and one for my daughter. Our old Flymo units had eventually bit the dust.
We've both always had Flymo grass mowers in the past and they've always been reliable, easy to use and bulletproof.
Not these new units though, they do not appear to be as sturdy as the old models, plus when the grass collector is over half full are difficult to push around if you don't have a "bowling green" lawn.
However the biggest problem is the reliability. Bearing in mind they are probably only used intermittently for 6 -7 months out of a year. Both units had to be taken to a Flymo repair unit (Under warranty) when under 12 months old in April 2023 , because they were constantly cutting out after a little use. The repair company would not tell me what the fault was, or why it was happening on both units. Fast forward 12 months to April 2024 and my daughter's Flymo started cutting out again. I contacted Flymo customer service on 20/4/24 and the 2 year warranty expired on 22/04/24. Yes you guessed it, they replied after this date and said the unit was out of warranty.
In spite of several back and forth emails requesting assistance / explanation of poor build quality, they reply with their apologies, but say there is nothing they can do. So basically sorry not sorry.
If you've got an old Flymo either get it repaired, or purchase a different manufacture unit, because the current models are definitely not as good as the old ones used to be. The customer service is polite, but useless as soon as you are out of warranty.
The future's definitely not orange for my lawnmower requirements.

Excellent Customer Service from Flymo

My Flymo Blower Vac would not work. As it was under guarantee I contacted Flymo. Was asked a series of questions and to provide pictures of the the silver label on the machine. Taken by surprise when Flymo provided me with a new machine within 10 days. Excellent service provided by Flymo. Based upon this would not hesitate in purchasing another Flymo product

flymo no longer the brand to buy

I bought my flymo 340R as I have a very small lawn , having used it for 1 season , found that 1 of the batteries does no longer charge . I believed by buying a flymo , I was buying a reliable brand . This is obviously no longer the case, and the company is living on its name and no longer making the quality brand it used to be. I am reluctant to buy another battery as I am unsure if I am not throwing good money away. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem .

Flymo 1200R Robotic Lawnmower

I’ve had a Flymo 1200R Robotic Lawnmower for a couple of years and it is now out of warranty. I think the charging / docking station is faulty but not sure. I need advice from Flymo customer services to decide if I should buy a replacement base (not cheap at around £250). They completely ignore my approaches to them via their online contact form. They also completely ignore my complaint / follow up emails.

You can normally tell the quality of a business by its after sales care. Flymo has none and is awful. I will never buy from them again. Just look at their reviews, I am not alone in this opinion.
