Everybody please read!!!!!! I went to file my taxes with turbo taxes trust me guys when I tell u they have a glitch in their system to where it was taking over a thousand dollars from me I went to file with H&R block only to keep getting rejected saying my social was not correct then it said my dependents social was not correct but I knew my info was correct so I saw freetaxusa I was a little skeptical because I never heard about them.. guys when I tell u!!!!!! I filed my taxes within an hour my federal was accepted an in a few days my state was accepted I was like this is what's up!!!!! I received all my money with no problems I told all my friends an family about freetaxusa!!!!!!! I will be looking to do my next year taxes right here with Freetaxusa!!!!!!!!!!an ohhhh check this out what they charge to file ur taxes is unbelievable!!!!! The price is too good to be true......Thank u freetaxusa for the wonderful experience!!!!!!!!!!!!I give 20 stars!!!!!!!!!

This is the greatest tax prep site ever. I spent $20 and was done in under 30 minutes, AMAZING !! Forget the rest, FreeTaxUSA is the way.

well as they say!
1.never offer the promo after you finish filling for 2020
2. they don't show on their site what problem you have when you fix one they add other 10 problems and they purposely do it. i have been filling tax for years on other tax sites this is the worst. poor customer service it is hard to get any help at all.
3. I pay $25.00 for each sate 12.50. The site wouldn't allow me to move forward telling me i didn't pay for one state. Its been days no one is responding and i asking for refund no one is responding as well. for all my questions. This is HORROR! I will advise for any users for their peace of mined to USE OTHER SITE
4. I have email send to me saying free state and fed for 2020 because i did file 2019 and other just back to back . they know how they can scam me! any ways this is my first post and i will make sure every one knows on other consumer sites too

Very self-explanatory website with a plethora of information to assist you when filing your Federal and State Taxes. The software does the calculations for you. All you have to do is key in the numbers on your W2 forms correctly and the software even rounds to the next whole dollar. I have been using Free Tax USA for two years and never had any problems. I'm so glad that I found a website where you can file your taxes at a very reasonable price. I plan on filing with Free Tax USA every year.

its been over 2 week since i efiled irs has not received my e filing freetaxusa has been no help

Used since 2007 or 2008. Can't remember.
Saves tax info for at least several years.
Does most self proprietor and small business calculations I've ever needed. When ride-sharing was still quite new, it had one or two quirks but successful filing.

Once in a great while, on some odd entries, the software doesn't give concise enough information to make a confident decision or choice, or elaborates with enough of a varied explanation.

Recently, with the virus stimulus payment, a rapidly evolving issue I understand, they did put up a shortcut quickly, to file to just send direct deposit information for otherwise non filers or SSI recipients.

So far, for free federal filing, it's the best full software application out there, that it's worth the $12-13 for State filing. In fact, do a search on Bing or Google for 'coupon code for Freetaxusa' and you'll get a valid 10-15% off state filing.

Works for what it’s worth but stay away unless you need it

As I try to sign in to finish my taxes on the evening of tax day, their site says it is down for scheduled maintenance and upgrades??!! It's like someone's idea of a sick joke.
Now I have to start all over with different software that doesn't fail me on tax day. Thanks freetaxusa for failing your customers on the most critical day that they need you the most. If I could rate zero stars I would.

One of the few providers who tells you the fees upfront. I used Taxact for several years and this year they will not let you add simple interest without upgrading.. state and federal there was like $70. Here federal tax return was free with state only being $13. It was easy and not confusing. I highly recommend it.

I've been using this for my tax refund a few years now and only this time it has been a hassle. When you get way to the end, after submitting bank info to pay ....it shows yellow flags to go review info that you already put in like 3 times, then when you click to review it, it takes you ALL the way to the beginning and you have to click to all these same pages again just to get back to the end. I don't think I'll be using it again next year.
