Ordered a mantel was abit worried about colour , delivery and size but item is beautiful I contacted the team regarding delivery received quick response overall very good experience would definitely order again

Absolutely terrible service. The delivery company scheduled delivery 4 times last week and failed to deliver each day. The customer service chat is a chat bot that tells you to call customer service. I have emailed customer service twice to cancel my order as I am not willing to waste any more days waiting around for delivery. No call or email from customer service so I will have to begin a charge back through my bank. Shocking customer service.

Great quality and selection very happy with product

I ordered a solid oak mantle piece and that is precisely what arrived. The fixings were well made and held the weight of the piece (which is considerable as it is green oak). The delivery was prompt and the piece was very well packaged with clear instructions about unwrapping it as soon as possible to prevent mould forming on the fresh timber. The price was very fair and the timber itself is beautifully prepared. Very happy.

We received our bed frame a few weeks ago, and I’m a little late leaving this review because we’ve been too busy catching up on some much-needed rest!

I honestly don’t even know where to begin because I have so many great things to say about the team at Funky Chunky Furniture. From start to finish, the entire experience exceeded our expectations.

First off, the bed frame itself is absolutely fantastic. It arrived well packaged — not overly excessive, just smart, secure, and efficient. During inspection, we noticed that one of the bed slats had shifted slightly during shipping and the end had been damaged. Accidents happen, so I reached out to their customer support team with a few photos.

To my surprise, they responded the very same day and immediately arranged for a replacement slat to be sent out free of charge — no hassle, no arguing, no jumping through hoops. Just genuinely excellent customer service from a polite and professional team. Easily some of the best customer support I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with.

As for the bed frame itself, assembly took us around 15 minutes from start to finish. Once built, it felt incredibly solid and sturdy right away. The craftsmanship and quality are obvious, and we’re very confident this is furniture built to last for years to come.

As first-time customers, we can confidently say we’ll absolutely be returning in the future. If you’re looking for high-quality furniture, excellent craftsmanship, and customer service that truly cares, don’t hesitate to use Funky Chunky Furniture for your home furnishing needs!

I contacted them not expecting much as my purchase was two years ago. They immediately responded offering a replacement mantle with free delivery and collection. I was thrilled with the service as much as I was with my new mantle piece. Well done Funky Chunky!

Second time purchasing from them. Easy to navigate web site and both orders arrived promptly and were very well packed. Would definitely recommend. They seem to genuinely value their customers and do their best to provide a good service with quality products.

Was quoted several hundreds of pounds for a simple oak beam from the company who installed my stove. I looked online and found Funky Chunky Furniture - wow! Everything was so reasonable and I found exactly what I was after for a fraction of the price. Ordering was simple and delivery was straightforward - it took about 7 days as the mantle is made to order. Attachment was easy and it sets my stove off beautifully - thank you!

Ordered a bed on 23rd March with 4-6 weeks delivery. Not enough communication from them about the status of the order. When I prompted for confirmation at 4 weeks I received a vague response. Followed up 6 weeks after ordering as I still had no idea when the bed would arrive and was told it would not be ready until at minimum 8 weeks after ordering. Still waiting to see if it arrives, but my ordering experience has been so poor that even if the bed is amazing I would never order from them again.

Edit 10 days after my first review: still no bed or update from funky chunky. Ordered March 23rd, it's now May 11th with no indication that we will have a bed. We reached out to them, will be considering a refund and ordering from Dusk instead or something as I don't really have faith this bed will be worth it, if there's a problem with the product there's no way they would communicate well or deal with it professionally at this point.

Ordered a bedframe - the quality is excellent, very well packaged and easy to assemble but the customer journey is abysmal. I was given an eta for delivery after placing my order and some time later received a call to say there was a delay due to broken machinery at the factory and given a new date. After this date I chased and was told that there was now an issue with the Supply Chain and given another new date. After this date had gone I chased again to be told that it was going to delivered the following week... On delivery day I was given a two hour delivery window... after a no show I chased and was given another delivery window... it finally turned up 30 minutes after the second window had closed. I understand that its made to order and I understand that things can go wrong but please get a grip of communicating proactively with your customers! It shouldn't be down to me to do all the chasing.

I’ll start off by saying the bed I’ve ordered is very good. Absolutely brilliant. It’s solid and the finish is good and it took me at the very most 20 minutes to build on my own (the instructions said two people but I’m a strong independent man). The fixings are a good idea and ultimately it’s built solid and I do believe it will last a long time.

The issues I have are with the company itself, and from other reviews I’ve seen I’m not the only one who has fallen subject to this. Funky Chunky Furniture - something as simple as a more accurate order tracking would make a huge difference. I heard absolutely nothing between order and despatch (which were 8 weeks apart). A proposed date of order times would also be ideal, the 4-6 weeks approximation is not helpful for a lot of customers, especially when it’s not adhered to.

It sounds like I’m just whinging, but what could have been a cracking experience was let down by a simple lack of communication. For any potential customers reading this, I would encourage you to order from them,

If this is too much of an issue logistically, which I can understand to an extent, then at least have a contact number on your website for people to ring to request an update and/or change delivery.

The next thing is delivery, 2 working days notice to receive the order is not enough, people have work and can’t just drop everything at 2 days notice. Again, if an approximate completion date was provided then it would be a lot easier for the customer. I contacted after receiving my despatch notice to change the date, to which I got a response saying it was changed, for it then to be delivered on the original date… which wasn’t ideal.

It does sound like I’m whinging, you’re right. But what could have been an absolute 5 star banger of an experience was let down by something as simple as communication. For any potential customers reading this, I would encourage you to order something from them just please manage your expectations with customer service.

Low quality product and service!
I ordered a floating shelf, it arrived with a massive knot and chunk missing in outside edge of the shelf. It also stank of creosote and was roughly finished.
I asked for a replacement and was told it was ‘rustic’ and asked to send it back for a refund. AI bot answers I suspect.
I had to chase the refund, which did eventually come.
Massively disappointing.

I have made two purchases from Funky Chunky Furniture in the past month. The 2nd purchase I made an error on the length of oak required and emailed them on a Sunday afternoon. Within 30mins I”d received a reply and by Monday morning had my refund. I was able to reorder the correct product.
Both deliveries arrived within two weeks of ordering, well packaged and perfect condition.
Excellent customer service throughout. Would highly recommend buying from them and will do so again in the future.

I ordered a bed frame from Funky Chunky - The frame itself is perfect, Solid wood and well designed.

The only issue with this company is that they DO NOT give you any details on delivery. They say within 2-5 days. I live in the Highlands and i got nothing to say what day they were coming and no phone call from the courier to say they are on there way which in the emails they state the courier gives you a call 2 hours before delivery. I had to unpack this pallet by myself as i had no prior notification of delivery.

Had problems with the delivery company (Order shipped around the Country with no delivery date, I informed Funky Chunky Furniture who had words with the delivery people and it was delivered the next Day. Thanks.
Just re-ordered a second item.

Lets start with the bad - the delivery time was appalling, from an initial 2 week quote that changed to 5 weeks and then to 2 months. This was blamed on a broken machine that broke prior to my order going in. Bottom line is, change your delivery times, be honest and let your product speak for itself. If you know you have to wait a little longer then there is no issue but make people aware from the first day. Going through the process of dates changing is frustrating and I nearly cancelled the order which would have been a real shame.
Communication once a real date was given was good, the team came back quickly via e-mail and happily shared their contact number 01914242949 - being able to speak to a person made the whole situation better, it should not be so hard to find this though.

Now to the important bit, the bed (Derwent Super King) is of the highest quality. I have never seen such a well made, sturdy, strong and beautiful bed. Honestly if you are looking for a bed this is where you should get it from. Never mind the 25 year warranty, this will last forever!! Such good quality I am so impressed, more than I expected to be honest.
I am looking for a new dinning table and coffee table in the near future and this is where I will be getting it from. Just be aware that it will take a while and plan around that.

As a note for FCF - you really need an offering for delivery to the room. The assembly is as easy as you say, it only took us 5-10 minutes to put it together but solid wood furniture is very very heavy and I would have paid more for delivery to the room.

I ordered a shelf for my fireplace and wow it does not disappoint it’s perfect and such a good price. When I placed the order I wanted to collect so the lovely lady I spoke to refunded my delivery cost. I was kept informed the whole time and couldn’t have been happier. I will definitely be recommending this company to family and friends.

Bought 300mm 1110mm x43mm depth floating shelves, the fittings only extend to 100mm so are not long enough to support the weight.
Contacted customer support who were dismissive and also said they work if fitted correctly. these were fitted correctly as per the instruction,
