Avoid Furnituredeal like the plague

I bought a clothes rack from this company on amazon prime ( no delivery cost) for a community fundraising event to sell unwanted items for our local school. The advert said it could be returned if any problem but I didn't give any thought to that. Just looking forward to the event. The upright poles are telescopic so you pull them up and attach the horizontal rail to the top. The rail itself is not wide so we only had say a dozen ,at most, t shirts on it. After half an hour we noticed that one of the upright poles was slipping down and while helping a customer, the whole rail fell over. Clothes on the ground. Fortunately, we had our branch of teenage cadets on hand, and they put it back up and sorted and hung the clothes back up. 10 mins later, as a lady was looking at a top, the whole rail tipped over on her. No injuries thank goodness. But we were hugely embarrassed. And I felt terrible for the lady and for being responsible for providing a - defective- clothing rail. Amazon have said the cost of £10.69 can be refunded, but the seller will not do this until I return the item. Its a clothes rail so while not massive, the cost of postage is over £10. So there is no point in returning it financially....stroke of genius - sell a defective, useless item and refuse to supply paid return postage. Absolutely disgusting beyond words. A useless, defective item sold by a devious , greedy company with no thought at all to customer service . Unfortunately, these money mad rogues are out there. I will to put my feedback on every site I can and hope that you heed my advice.
A terrible company with defective products.

Not for the faint hearted!

Unless you want to spend the next six months reading badly-spelt emails from 'customer service' do not go anywhere near this firm.

Non-existent service, constant lies about delivery dates and delayed refunds - I don't even know how this firm is still in business. Trading Standards know all about them, but seem to be unable to do anything. I'm currently in the process of obtaining a CCJ for non-delivered items and I'm not alone.

Steer well clear - there are plenty of other decent internet stores out there.

The most unreliable company ever

This company is as useless as ever. I placed an order for a 2 door mirror sliding wardrobe and when the 1st delivery came, it was the wrong wardrobe. I was told a replacement of the doors and the lights will be delivered in 4-6 weeks..... can u believe up till now i am still wating for those items (August 2009), thats 5 months and i havent recieved my complete order. if i dont contact them, they just go silent on the matter. They are so arrogant and dont know anything about customer service. Would not recommend them to my worst enemy! i have now got trading standards involved.
