I preordered a record

I preordered a record, it came in the mail damaged. I emailed to send it back to get it replaced, not refunded. I was VERY CLEAR that I wanted the item REPLACED and NOT refunded. I went through the entire process to send it back and then WEEKS later, I check my bank account to see they have refunded me and didn't even bother to tell me they could not replace the item. I emailed back asking for the issue to be escalated and of course, I'm ghosted. Terrible customer service, terrible packaging. I will never buy from them again.

Was sent wrong movie

I always ordered from FYE. I never had a problem til my recent order. I order Avengers Endgame but what I received was A pup named Scooby Doo. I spent $28 (price of movie, tax & shipping) for Endgame. I emailed & put my problem on their Facebook page with no answer. They don't even have a 800 number to call to talk to a REAL person. Not ordering from there anymore.

FYE HATES DISABLED VETERANS

FYE HATES DISABLED VETERANS. I am a disabled US Navy Veteran with breathing issues which prevent me from wearing a mask. Recently I was kicked out of the Port Charlotte mall fye store by their associate STEVE. I tried to explain my condition but Steve was bullying and rude in his comments. Steve demonstrated that fye has no respect for those of us who have sacrificed to provide their freedoms. An email from their corporate office to me showed this is a company wide attitude toward us.

BEWARE SELLER!!

BEWARE SELLER!!! FILE A CHARGEBACK WITH YOUR BANK. FYE hasnt shipped my order. It has been over a week. Emailed them immediately after ordering after i saw their negative reviews and they refused to cancel. CAUTION: ORDER TOTAL IN FINAL PAGE IS NOT THE FINAL TOTAL. THEY ARE THE ONLY SITE THAT ADDS TAX *AFTER* ORDER IS COMPLETED. HORRIBLE COMPANY SO BEWARE.

Fye are some low scam artists now they…

Fye are some dirty scam artists now they will try to rob you as they are a company going down the drain apparently, I always loved fye my whole life went to my local mall to get cds and now last time I went you know what they do to their longtime customer they say hey if you give us your email so we can send you deals you’ll get a discount so I did and now they’ve been charging me at least $12 a much bare minimum I think even more now actually for nothing at all they straight up have been charging my account illegally I was not made aware of anything like this from their employee , if they make right with me I will continue using store in future but if not then I will just report as the fraud that it was

Overall Rating - Pathetic

Extremely slow shipping (not USPS, but leaving FYE warehouse) followed by receiving damaged records due to negligent packing. Customer service was slow, inefficient, and dismissive. This company deserves to go out of business.

avoid VIP backstage pass!

I signed up for backstage pass membership and soon after tried canceling, as it was costing $12/month for something I wasn’t even using. After I requested to cancel the membership, I was still being charged monthly. I tried disputing this with fye customer service, who claimed that they could not reimburse me due to their terms and conditions. Yet they manage to get away with charging my bank each month after I requested them to stop and cancel the membership. You'll get ripped off and robbed money from your bank account. Don’t sign up!!

I purchased a lot of music

I purchased a lot of music, both CD's and Vinyl records, from FYE. I still haven't received everything that I ordered. I guess, it is partly my fault, because the purchases were made with my old mobile phone, which I no longer have. But. I have invoices with items that haven't been shipped, and in one shipment, I received a DVD, of the movie "Mary Poppins," instead of the record I ordered. I tried to call them, with the only number that I could find, and the operator berated me, about calling the wrong, and when I insisted that it was the only number I could find online, she hung up on me.

Extremely Sketchy

Everything about this "company" is extremely sketchy. I went into one of the stores with my friend and bought a couple shirts. They convinced me to get the Backstage Pass rewards thing so I did. I came back to my dorm and realized the shirts I purchased reeked of chemicals (after a wash they were fine but still). I cancelled my Backstage Pass after reading up on it online. First I had to cancel the magazines on one site and then I had to call FYE's customer service. I have anxiety and let me tell you, one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The man on the phone, Zach, interrupted me several times to tell me that he'd be extremely considerate and give me a ton more perks and coupons. When that didn't work, he offered lowering the price to which all my answers were "I am a poor college student who doesn't have a car to go to these places to begin with." Finally after telling him no four times he relented and gave me a cancellation number (which I kept for several months after they cancelled my Backstage Pass just in case there was an incident like some of the other comments express). A simple Google search will lead you to so many other people saying how sketchy the company is. Do NOT trust them with your money or time.

Fye I used to go here all the time..

Fye I used to go here all the time. But all the good workers quit and ever time I go in and they try to sell me their over expensive backstage pass. No thanks. Fyi if you select magazines from the backstage pass they will charge 60.00 the end of your trial. My friend told me this. Cds are way to expensive now and they have a small selection of cds. I won't even bother going online to order something either. Sorry FYE you were good once. Now if rather go somewhere else and buy my merchandise.

Funko Pop Collectors BEWARE, SCAM!!

I wish I did more research on them before I purchased anything. Saw them on some social media, thought it was safe.

I bought four funko pops from them, all of which are exclusive to FYE.com. A few days pass and I email them because I haven't gotten any shipping info. They proceed to tell me that 2 of the 4 pops I ordered actually aren't in inventory so they canceled it for me. So...if I never emailed asking about where my 4 pops were, I would have never found out because they don't tell you what's going on behind the scenes unless asked. Strike one.

They then refuse to cancel the order. Strike two. Then they say that the pops I wanted which were canceled are back in stock now so I can buy them again if I want. Strike three. Why would I buy it again so you can fleece me for more money? Every interaction thereafter is just them saying "Your other two pops will arrive soon." "Here is the tracking #." They just complete brush everything else under the rug and ignore it.

This company is a complete scam that will do anything to earn a buck.

I am extremely upset at FYE backstage …

I am extremely upset at FYE backstage pass. I signed up on Black Friday knowing I had till Christmas to cancel. I was told I would get one month free and just to call before the month was over to cancel my subscription. I called the number on the back of my booklet they gave me a week before Christmas to cancel and the lady tried to encourage me to keep the backstage pass twice. She even offered to reduce the monthly rate. Again I told her no and she very quickly told me she would “cancel my service and have a good day” before hanging up on me. No conformation. No nothing. That should have been my first hint. I got changed at the end of December and January for $11.99 after I canceled my subscription. I called today to get it sorted out and canceled, with a confirmation number, but I can’t get a refund. They have no record of me calling before Christmas. Why would I make this up? I have never had this problem in the past, but it will be something I will never forget. FYE and the company they use to “gain a profit” have lost my business for life. Also, the magazines they sign you up for have charged me there monthly rate as well. I have lost more money than I would have saved with this backstage pass.

FYE is a horrible and dishonest …

FYE is a horrible and dishonest company. They engage in deceptive tactics to get people to sign Backstage Pass program. The associate who rang up our purchase immediately signed us for this and made it sound like a rewards program. He NEVER stated that there is an $11.99 monthly fee. Neither my husband nor myself agreed to this charge. That is clear cut theft. We also never received a billing statement from them, we only found out about this from our bank ledger. Interestingly enough, they also never reached out to us to let us know that we had been paying into this program without receiving any of the so-called benefits. I went through the Better Business Bureau to get my money back. When responding to my complaint, FYE says that EVERY CUSTOMER who pays with a debit or credit card is AUTOMATICALLY enrolled in this program and they give you a pamphlet on all the info. They don’t verbally tell you about this monthly fee. This is a company wide practice, not just an error on the part of the cashier. Avoid this company, buy your music and movies on Amazon instead.

Great prices paid for used cds but postage reimbursement is problematic.

I recently sold over 150 used cds to the company in three different packages. The prices paid for the cds were much better than other companies that purchased these items over the web. In each case the problem is that their website states that they will reimburse the seller for media mail costs. They further state they will not cover costs for shipping in any other matter. The issue is that even though that media mail was used as per their instructions with a cost to me of close to $30.00 to ship the items to them, they only reimbursed me a little over $13.00 for the media mail postage. Beware of the shipping cost reimbursement as there are some other companies that purchase used cds on the web that will prepay the shipping cost to them so you have no cash outlay. The purchase payment amount from FYE over what the other companies would have paid me for the same cds still offset the cost to me for my mailing expense but you should be aware not to expect the entire media mail cost credited back to you.
