Insulting to Deaf and Hard of Hearing
I've found myself on here to voice my extreme displeasure at Galaxy Theatre's decision to limit open caption movies to a single showing on Monday afternoons. When movie theaters finally started offering open captions, I excused this schedule as early in the transition period. Now that years have passed and I continue to talk with people with normal hearing that prefer to watch movies and shows with captions, it makes me a bit sick that they continue this insulting practice. I wear cochlear implants after 20 years of wearing hearing aids. I'm 42 years old and work a career. I'm not going to the movie theater on Monday afternoon. I would like to go see a movie on Friday and Saturday nights like the rest of the world. I've attempted to contact galaxy about this but no response. I'm not sure if this is the most ideal place to submit the complaint, but I'm shocked that there's not a bigger movement from the millions of people that are no doubt in my shoes. If there is a movement, I'm not sure where it's being fought and it doesn't seem to be having an effect. I'm really hoping there are people that are going to get behind me on this.
