Game Jolt Reviews 

It's my principal platform, very easy to post and you will mostly find gamers, developers and artist here.
But i must admit that gamejolt started as a ich.io like platform and the change to a more tik-tok or twich like platform was hard.
There have been moderation and servers problems and for i can see there still that problem, there were also greedy changes witch it sucks but i guess that the more people the more spensive is to keep it good.
For what i can say, this platform was good when it was smaller and it was perfect for that: a small platform with not that much people, but now is growing and i want to velive that the moderation is starting to adapt in a very slow rate. Anything from that the quest, charges, stikers and stuff is what makes gamejolt unique.

Gamejolt is incredible, it has helped me make new friendships and meet other wonderful people. The only problem I have with them is that their moderation sometimes snoozes on really bad people. But everything else is great!

The whole point of this website was to enable people to find great indie games and make communication between the creators and gamers easier. However, nowadays not only we see that great games are not being featured, but also the "Store" page is acting merely as a suggestion now since they have aimed to make the website more like Twitter/X. It started as an indie game sharing website but now it is nothing but just another social platform. Why call it "Game Jolt" if you do not even promote games anymore? Might as well call it "Twitter 2". The developers vision on the future of this platform deeply concerns me.

GameJolt doesn't answer to most people when they send emails
I've sent over 5 emails to them myself, and absolutely none of them get answered
They also ban innocent people for no reason at all, and only unban them when EVERYONE starts emailing them
If only the person asks to be unbanned, nothing happens because the gamejolt support has tons of flaws and lazy workers.

The platform, imo, is indeed and absolutely good to stay there for making wonderful stuffs all around while there's creators that can make absolute hard works. I love how GJ still have some really nice people that can create anything good and i still love staying there.

this place sucks, really woke and banned my game instantly for the thumbnails even with mature rating for violence, but i was new to the site and i make nsfw horror/action games and does have a fair bit of gore and i think the site was too sensitive for my games and taste even YouTube and deviantart doesn't seem to have a problem with some of my stuff even know some stuff i make gets removed once in a while since i make animations and renders Aswell with unity and Daz studio and that place is woke as hell plus I heard it's full of rock spiders F this site

to be honest what ever happened to gamejolt like back then in 2021 and 2022 and past that gamejolt was actually good you didnt have mods that dont care but than when they finally removed like nsfw well others things to, i see people just be accused because they didnt like someone art i seen someone actually hurt themselves because a user accused of them being a pedo which was false and also said they will actually be better off disappearing like what the heck happend to this app this isnt the gamejolt i used to know it just disgusting to me seeing this just no i liked it in 2021-2022 but now is just... not even likeable all these soical media slowly turning to dont care like example twitter, this one to but mow i want to just say it was good while it lasted OG gamejolts users it was good while it lasted

Also you get banned for to defend yourself and try to get pedo banned nope your banned right away as soon you talk about it but....to be honest it disgusting how gamejolt just allows pedo on their app and site they should kept the old times in 2021-2022 because there moderator were actually very to much good because of it none could just prey on minors so now this is happening I am highly disappointed and disgusted on gamejolt changed and defending pedos

What the hell?!?!?! TERRIBLE PLATFORM. I was a 3-2 year user. WAS, until some idiot decided to spread lies about me, so I posted stuff saying that they were lies and I set the record straight and I GOT BANNED FOR MY RESPONSE POSTS?!?!? OH IM SORRY GAMEJOLT YEAH YOURE TOTALLY RIGHT LETS LET INNOCENT PEOPLE GET EXPOSED FOR SOMETHING THEY DIDNT DO AND NOT ALLOW THEM TO DEFEND THEMSELF!
Worst part? The prick that spread those lies didnt even get banned.

Look, in the defense of gamejolt, I guess they would want their platform to be drama-free. Well, I wouldn't be this mad if the guy that spread those lies about me was BANNED TOO.

a good platform for indie game developers, but pretty much everyone just focus on fnaf,... What about they changing topic into something more interesting like about War or tower defense, that would get GameJolt a 5 stars rate

Gamejolt is an amazing platform for sharing creations, there are alot of downsides to it tho.
There can be groomers and other weird people on the site that my friends on there have experienced terrible things with. Also they should fix the thing where it says ''account banned'' when the person deleted their own account. I read some of the reviews that said: ''oh my friends are getting banned for no reason!'' No they're not, they've most likely deleted the account. But overall this is a 2/5, even tho I do post very often on there. It's still not the best website for under 13 users, consider only starting to use it when you're 13+ unless you want to use when you're like 10 or 12? idk man i'm not your mother.

This place is kinda trash but tbh i have too many friends to just leave, full of pedos, creeps, and overall just weirdos, mods are kinda bad, atleast one of them, and i just wish i could go somewhere else

Gamejolt is good if you want to buy fnaf mods butt its a little glitchy when you want to bye somthing else. i tried to buy night blights and it dident open but its still god

only bad part of it iis the meh moderation, on occasion banning wrong people. otherwise great community!

It's a great community with great people! It's very exclusive, the only bad thing about it is the follow bots, but other than that it's really a five stars. (I've been on Gamejolt for over 2 years!)

Gamejolt ruined my life. They then kicked me off the site permanently. 10/10, would do again.

Its a fun and cool way to chat,post,and even promote your projects!

10 years on this site i have seen it grow and become what it is today, thanks to ppl like @Cros and @thoro we have an epic indie community with no fees and no issues with adding games etc so imo its top 3 indie game site for devs or gamers.
