Indian Customer Reps Redirected Me to a Scam Call Center

Avoid GAP at all costs if you're paying with a debit card. They canceled my order but never refunded me, insisting they didn’t charge anything — even though debit card transactions are instant.

When I dialled 1-800-427-7895 and asked to speak to a manager, the call center agent (with an Indian accent) put me on hold and transferred me to what seemed like a scam call center. Some woman there started asking for my social security number, claiming it was needed to "look into the issue." Absolutely disgraceful experience.

The customer Service has changed…

The customer Service has changed dramatically. And make it impossible to return an item that you buy at a retail outlet if you’re unable to get to that outlet or another.

It’s obvious why so many stores have closed and people are no longer interested in supporting them. I personally have closed my account and once my current dilemma is resolved will never shop there again.

Small short term thinking no doubt they’re gonna go out

TERRIBLE PACKAGING!😡

What has happened to the amazing customer service that a person used to find with Baby Gap? I ordered a toddler sweater from Baby Gap and it came inside a dirty blue plastic bag from Old Navy. It wasn't even in its own wrapper, it didn't have tissue paper around it, it was just tossed inside. I cannot believe how terrible the customer service has become with Baby Gap. I will no longer be ordering anything from Baby Gap. So disappointed, so sad.

I used to buy jeans from gap and…

I used to buy jeans from gap and recently I suspect they stopped accept payment from cards issued in some countries, I'm living in Ukraine, But payments rejected with reason that they suspecting fraud or something like this and for my safety they rejecting payment. Jeans from other stores like poland are not the same models and main there is no such sizes with such length. Their support unable to explain anything and always suggesting to contact security team which is unreachable. Great service... used to be

I’m really disappointed with the Gap…

I’m really disappointed with the Gap store at Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket. The manager doesn’t seem to care if customers ever come back, and she’s rude and disrespectful. Some of the staff act the same way. I used to shop at Gap regularly, but the staff’s behavior has driven me away.

Carrier will leave your package anywhere

Order from them they used some other carrier not ups they just left my package out my apartment building somebody took it now they denied my claim I’m paying for something I didn’t receive I will never order from the gap again ever lady from the review them rude very nasty not spending my hard earn money with them

09/12/24 - 6 items shipped via UPS and received 09/13/24

09/10/24 - 1 item shipped via UPS ground (to USPS)
09/12/24 - USPS rec'd from UPS, delivery date 09/16.
Delayed to 09/17.
Delayed to 09/20.
Delayed to 09/21.
Delayed to 09/23. Now no date given at all!

Per USPS tracking, pkg sent from NY to NJ to TX to GA to Knoxville, TN (3 hours from me), but today was shipped to COLUMBUS OHIO !?!?!?

Have contacted Gap by chat FOUR TIMES, by phone TWO TIMES including to a US supervisor which I demanded after frustration with foreign chat/call centers. Repeated, useless apologies. Told by supervisor that they LITERALLY CANNOT FILE A LOST PACKAGE CLAIM unless carrier goes 48 hours without reporting the location --- and the USPS reports every single day that it is anywhere and everywhere EXCEPT HERE!

WORST ONLINE ORDERING EXPERIENCE EVER !!

Absolutely terrible online service in…

Absolutely terrible online service in addition to inauthentic advertising online. I recently purchased 6 pair of underwear that was listed as buy 3 get 2 free. When I received my order I did not receive the 4 that I should have. Called customer service and the agent asked if I had “taken screen shots of the sale to prove it.” Of course I hadn’t as I assumed the company would know their own sales and was told that since I didn’t have proof and a new sale had started (at midnight and my purchase under the old sale was at 10pm) nothing could be done. So I paid $80 for 6 pair of underwear that are the quality of something off SHEIN.

Had the worst experience with customer…

Had the worst experience with customer service representative where they denied posting transactions to my account without my consent and blamed it on the bank while their company name is clearly depicted kn the transactions, when did making a purchase start giving businesses the right to keep withdrawing amount and reversing them for as long as they want and denying the transactions. I would suggest people to be careful of how gap makes transactions on your account especially purchases made on debit.

Never purchase from GAP

Never purchase from GAP. Their return policy is only for 30 days. I purchased items for a trip to EU. Even though I paid for expedited shipping, the clothing arrived after I had already left. Upon my return (4 weeks later), I tried on the clothing and they were all too large. However, it was beyond their 30 day policy so I will now have to donate $160 of clothing to Goodwill.

I want you to know how the Gap agency in Flint helped me, how the agency helps people get to work,,,, After 18 years I lost my job, so I went to register at the Gap agency in Flint, where they gave me a job, they sent me to company for the production of plastic stations for Nissan cars, I was on induction for 2 hours and the manager of that company told me that I could start only from next week,,, so I returned to the agency and explained the situation, so they gave me a job for Wednesday and Thursday at the cereal company on Dissaide zone 2, I came to work and at 10.30 I received a text message from the agency Gap that I should call them, so I went out and called the agency and spoke to the manager Amy, she told me that from Thursday I'm starting in that factory for the production of railway stations, I told her that I'm not going there because I'm not interested in that kind of work, she started nervously asking me around about 5-7 miles away, why, why,,,,, she couldn't understand that I wasn't interested there go,,, THEN SHE TOLD ME THAT I DON'T HAVE A JOB AT THE CEREALS COMPANY ANYMORE ON THURSDAY BECAUSE THEY DON'T NEED PEOPLE ANYMORE,,,, so Amy was upset that I wasn't going to work, where I didn't want to go, so she canceled Thursday because she was mad at me for not going there, SHE TOLD ME HERSELF ON THE PHONE THAT SHE NO LONGER HAS A JOB FOR ME ON THURSDAY HAVE,,,,,,,,,,, My experience in England is 17 years on Extruders setter,,,,,, Thank you......

terrible customer service

the customer service people at Gap couldn't speak English that well, kept telling me that oh I cannot tell you why this problem cannot be solved, you can try placing order later on. and kept asking if you have any further questions? I will hang up. Jesus, I have never experience such a terrible customer service, you are not Chanel, please position yourself correctly.

Bad Product

I purchased a hat from from Banana Republic the Gap Company from there online store they sent me a defective hat. I called customer service Friday night they stated I can return the hat or exchange at Banana Republic Tysons Corner Center VA. I arrived there on Saturday I found another hat with less defects the representative refused to exchange the hat for another hat with less defects.
