Garden Machinery Direct was excellent
Garden Machinery Direct was excellent. They dispatched the stihl hedge trimmer very quickly and the emails kept me well informed. It is just a shame that the delivery company used this time don't read the delivery instructions and left the parcel in a place that welcomed it to be stolen. By good fortune it wasn't - we were lucky.

Disappointingly slow to ship!
Sorry to say I found delivery slower than expected and communication sparse.
The product showed as ‘in stock’ but it was 3 days before I got a message saying it was “waiting to be packed”.
Really?! 3 days to think about starting to pack it?
On day 4 I received an invoice despite already having paid.
On day 4 I also received an email saying “it was being packed”
I was also told it would be sent on day 6 and delivered on day 7.
On day 7 I was told it was delayed and would be delivered on day 8.
It was delivered on day 8.
All in all, pretty poor and well below expectations.

We’re sorry the experience fell short of expectations. The standard service selected is estimated within five working days, excluding weekends, rather than guaranteeing a dispatch date. We emailed when the order was received, when it was being packed and when it left us, with FedEx also providing tracking updates. The initial email was an order confirmation; the VAT invoice is sent separately once an order is processed, as many customers require one. Unfortunately, FedEx delivered one working day outside our estimate, and we apologise for that delay.
