Outstanding customer service!

I purchased the Hampton Estate gates from Garden Oasis, but after being wrongly advised on size by a tradesman who eventually let me down anyway, I was very stressed and quite upset when I called and spoke to Karen in customer service about swapping them for the correct size. She was absolutely lovely and very sympathetic and sorted out a straight swap minus return fee and honoured the sale price that to my horror, had finished the day before so I ended up much less out of pocket than I originally would have been. The new gates have just been installed and they are absolutely beautiful, I've had loads of compliments on them already. Thank you so much Karen :)

Great service informative and helpful

Great service informative and helpful. Purchased some lights one didn’t work however they were quick to rectify it and apologetic given it must have been a manufacturer fault. Thank you for the service will certainly use again !

Initially I thought that after…

Initially I thought that after contacting the manufacturer directly who just shut me down. I went to Garden Oasis, and initially thought we were getting a human response.

Sadly we didn't.

We paid a lot of money for a Highclare Summer House. This is a Shire product (seperate review posted).

In less that five years due to terrible installation the Summer House is rotten. The felt was cut too short. This allowed rainwater to access underneath. It now has to be scrapped.

The installation was by Shire but paid for through Garden Oasis.

Garden Oasis have kept saying the felt has come to the end of its natural life. It hasn't. The water ingress is because it was cut too short.

Feel totally ripped off by both Shire and Garden Oasis.

I'm expecting a response to this around checking the roof felt. I have done this annually when I have painted it. The felt has not failed. It was installed incorrectly.

The only reason I've found this issue is because the rain has lifted it away.

Just don't buy a Shire product or use Garden Oasis as unless you are can see into the future they will not listen to you.

If it had been installed correctly at the time, I would have had no reason to have to inspect it.

But then the installation wasnt correct.

The roof felt is only split WHERE IT WAS CUT TOO SHORT ON THE FASCIA. NOWHERE ELSE.

My Brother in Law has a summer house, bought second hand that he installed himself. Including fitting the felt on the roof. That Summer House has never shown signs of leaking.

RIPPED OFF.

We reviewed the images of the roof that you sent to us and can confirm that the felt had been installed correctly, however on one of your photos, it clearly shows the roof felt is split and this would allow water ingress. We have no reason to defend the manufacturer's installation team and if they had done something wrong, we would most definitely support you to get a resolution but reporting water ingress nearly 5 years after installation does not mean it is an installation issue, it just means you need to replace the worn out felt. A summerhouse is not a fit and forget item, it does require maintenance from time to time. Needing to carry out maintenance 5 years after installation does not mean it was not installed correctly.

Absolutely fantastic customers service…

Absolutely fantastic customers service from Karen she answered all my questions and gave me the confidence to purchase. I received the gate in a couple of weeks of ordering as promised. The gate itself looks stunning better than the pictures and is of very good quality with every single part needed. The company actually has videos on YouTube of how to install. The installation doesn't take any longer than 30 mins and it's on the wall hanging.
This is because the gate is already made and sent from the company ready to install.
I must also not forget to mention the price which is a very important factor. I paid £380 for this gate and a local place near me quoted me £800 so I got it for less than half price. Amazing company and customer service

Garden gate order from Garden Oasis

I ordered a garden gate from Garden oasis and it was very quicly delivered within a few days. The gate was extremely well packaged and came complete with all the fitments ,screws etc needed to complete the fitment of the gate. the package also contained intructions on how to fit the gate. The website gave instructions as to what size of gate would be needed to fit the gap. Service was excellent ant good value for money. T Surtees

The only advise given by Garden Oasis - read the small print

Firstly I am guilty of not reading the on line small print, I'm 72 and as pointed out by the telephonest when I rang to complain it clearly states this gate requires you to paint it. In my defence I paid £340 for a small 90cmX90cm Corffe Gate made to measure, I didn't find the section of small print that advised of painting with Hammerite. I now have a rusty gate that is clearly my fault as pointed out by the Garden Oasis staff member. Tell me would you really pay that much money to paint a small gate.

Hi Norah, as advised on the phone, the information that the made to measure gates are supplied primed ready for you to paint is not hidden in small print, it is clear and in plain English in the product description, which you admit in your review that you did not read before placing your order. A negative review due to a customer doing something wrong rather than the retailer is rather odd but at least we get the opportunity to post a reply I suppose. With regard to the rust, you were advised on the phone that you should paint the gate with a top coat such as Hamerite (as stated on the website) as soon as possible.

Lack of professionalism from top down

Sadly, i am still with a lawn mower that does not work and is not fit for purpose.

It’s been 5 months of incompetence from this company. I tonight have had the delight to hear from the director of the company, but instead of trying to help he had this to say “I’m afraid I do not have the time or patience to read your letter. If you could please just supply the information requested so that we can get this resolved for you, that would be marvellous.”

The information they have asked for they already have.

Save your sanity and spend your money elsewhere. I try to avoid big suppliers as I prefer to keep the economy going with smaller firms however it doesn’t always pay off as I have discovered.

This company has treated me like I’m in the wrong. I purchased an item out of good faith and it doesn’t work . You will see from the other reviews that when things go wrong, there is a lack of care , professionalism and apology.

Hi Tracey. I am so sorry that you are having problems using your lawnmower. We have done everything we can to try to help you identify and rectify the issue but as you have been abusive on the phone to our customer service staff and refused to return the lawnmower it has been difficult to help you. We have however sent you replacement batteries that you confirmed had solved the problem so it is dissappointing to hear that you are still experiencing an issue. You have said the lawnmower cuts out after 25 minutes, but it is advertised as having a run time of up to 28 minutes, so perhaps it is not faulty, just not meeting your expectations? It is always advisible to read the product descriptions, including the product specifications to ensure it is going to meet your needs before placing an order.

Karen at Garden Oasis gave me first class servicewhen I had aproblem with a delivery.An item I ordered was not being delivered by the manufacturer.Karen diligently chased the item,however despite repeated attemps to secure a delivery date it did not happen.
Karen ,without hesitiation ,offered a full refund on the item which was processed quickly and efficiently back to my account.
I can recommend,very highly, dealing with this company because their customer service is fantastic and Karen in particular was absolutly fantasic to deal with ,I cant praise her enough.

Honourable company

Ordered gates and needed them quickly. They estimated 2 to 3 weeks for delivery, which was disappointing, but acceptable. Their suppliers changed timescales to 4 to 6 weeks. This delay was a problem to us, so we cancelled the order and GardenOasis refunded immediately (same day) and in full. We were really impressed at how honourable and thoroughly decent this company is, and will check their website first when buying anything else that they sell. Many companies would not have told us about the delay. Thank you Garden Oasis

Great buying experience with Garden…

Great buying experience with Garden Oasis

I bought Quorn Double Gates, posts and a variety of other bits. All arrived quickly (a few separate deliveries). One minor problem (post was missed by the shipper) was quickly resolved by Karen (Sales) via e-mail. Happy to recommend.

Excellent in dealing with a problem item.

I had a problem with an item and it was replaced efficiently, the replacement now has developed a problem and despite their guarantee having expired because it was from the original purchase date, they are replacing the item for a second time.
Also they have been very efficient in answering my email queries.

Professional and Friendly Service

Bought a Shire Arbour through Garden Oasis. Shire were diabolical but the ladies at Oasis tried very hard to get a resolution for me, They failed but I give them 5 stars for trying and the professional and friendly responses I got. I would certainly buy from Oasis again but never a Shire product.

Faulty and cheap looking

Paid an uplift of £150 to have the bespoke Manor Railings zinc plated and powder coated. The delivery was poorly executed with the driver ringing the doorbell and walking off before we had answered the door therefore not giving us the opportunity to inspect for damage prior to accepting. Before unwrapping damage to the powder coated surface was visible where the packaging was not covering the product and this was reported via email but I was told it was normal and that they would recommend painting the powder coated surface regardless.. Upon unwrapping it was discovered the powder coating was faulty with bare patches visible where they had not applied the finish. Again I was told to just paint it and I had this argue hard to get even a small refunded portion even though opting the £150 uplift for the finishing had been pointless. Finishing aside, the manor railings are a cheap looking product with even cheaper looking fixings. If you want a sturdy quality looking product, look elsewhere.

Garden Oasis provided excellent service…

Garden Oasis provided excellent service overall. The VENICE sofa set I purchased at their Crewe event was delivered promptly, with amazing quality. Customer support was responsive to my queries, offering solutions and resolving minor issues quickly. While some delays occurred, their friendly staff and good pricing make them a reliable choice for garden products.

Shonky gate, worse customer service

I purchased a £100 iron gate 7 months ago. One of the finials clean snapped off without any stress in the act of closing the gate. Garden Oasis boast on their website from the manufacturer that the gate has a 10 year warranty. But Garden Oasis didn't want to honour that. They suggested I purchase a new finial and weld a new one back on. I checked under my stairs and I don't seem to have a welding rig and I don't remember doing a welding course. Of course I could pay a welder to fix a £100 7 month old gate and that would cost more than buying a new gate. Very poor Garden Oasis, do better please.

Ordered be spoke gate off of garden oasis fantastic quality product Karen and team were fantastic unfortunately the company was let down by there courier company which is completely out of there hands definitely recommended for the future turn around time scale was very quick great product.
Gutted they were let down by 3 parties
