I received a voicemail message today…

I received a voicemail message today regarding the replacement of the damaged furniture I received.

Is that all Gardner White is going to do???

I received damaged furniture from you.
I reported the same day that I received it. Sending pictures and videos. As well as someone advising that someone will follow up. That was on a Saturday, no one called so I called on the following Thursday.

I did not receive an apology from the people that I spoke to no empathy. I was treated as of it were my fault. Because I requested the door delivery that was the risk that I took.

When what I was told would be an inspection of the damage. The person showed up with a stapler and then informed me that they were only here to repair the dust sheet on the sofa that's all !!! He was almost nasty and told me that " i was being pessimistic because I don't know what he can do" that was disrespectful.

Now you say that it will be replaced which that should've been the plan of action all along. Be no I've been disrespected, disappointed, made to wait, no one followed up in an appropriate amount of time. Now I have to look at damaged furniture until you can replace it, if you can replace it! And when will that be. Where is your responsibility is this situation and what consequences do you receive. When you come and get this furniture whenever that is. You will be reimbursed for whatever you paid to the manufacturer. Me I'm just supposed to wait patiently and respectfully. Thanks a lot Gardner White

Broken Couch

We were originally very pleased with the purchase of a couch, love seat, and ottoman. However, within 6 month the couch cushions were worn out as if the couch was 10 years old.
We called in on the manufacturers warranty, they took THREE WEEKS to send someone to investigate the claim. They determined we were eligible for new cushions. They still have NOT ARRIVED. That was SIX MONTHS AGO. I've since called THREE TIMES to see what the hold up is, to no avail. They simply tell me, it's a 'supply chain issue and they will call me when it arrives'. Meanwhile, my pregnant partner and I are sitting on a couch that we can feel the springs and the frame through. I'm at a point where I will likely have to purchase or make my own until the arrive (if they do).
I even questioned, to Customer Service, why I purchased the Extended Warranty, since the 'guaranteed' Manufacturers Warranty doesn't work, and implied that refund of that purchase may be warranted due to poor business practices. When I did this, I was all but told that's not their problem and I could contact that extended warranty company if I felt that way.
So, we started using the love seat more, and what do you think is happening? By the time I get the cushions for the couch, I will have to start this process over again for the love seat. Except I won't be able to, because it has taken so long this time around, that the manufacturers warranty will be up along with part of my extended warranty and I will then be dealing with another company, as it was explained to me. This experience that started nicely has turned in to an expensive, long, nightmare.

DO NOT BUY!

WARNING - DO NOT BUY FROM GARDNER WHITE! It is not worth the risk! Our sectional came completely broken and our loveseat came torn. We called immediately to return them. My husband insisted that he did not want them replaced as the tears showed how cheap the product was. We are still being charged OVER $500 for fees, pillows, and the random gifts they insist on giving you when you purchase the furniture! We feel completely scammed! Avoid Gardner White at all costs!!!

Bedroom set purchase

I purchased a bedroom set in September 2021. The nightstand was missing a part and the dresser had a broken handle. I called and they sent someone out within a week. They did fix the nightstand but had the wrong handle for the dresser. I was told the handle would be here the following week. It is now June 2022 and I still don't have the dresser handle. Every time I call, I'm told it's not in and they'll send an email to the repair department for an update on when to expect it and they will call me with that update. I've yet to receive a call from them and when I do call they are rude. I've asked to speak to a manager and was told they never have a manager in the store. It seems once they get your money you are nothing to them.

Run far away do not shop here

I just bought a new house and needed something for my living room and family room and one of the kids bedrooms. I spent 13k. The wrong couch set arrived. At the time it looked strange not as nice as I thought but thought ok it looked nice in my room but something was odd. A chair arrived and another item arrived that I didn’t want but was charged for. One item was from a set that I didn’t order from. A love seat I ordered came damaged but I didn’t notice until the movers left. The chair to my kitchen table is so wabbly that you can’t sit on it without falling off. The carpet they sent me was the wrong one..
It was thin and curly. The carpet was not opened at the time the furniture was dropped off. Patti and her partner charged me for a mattress cover over 100 dollars but failed to give it to me. I went in to see them at the store expecting an apology and a plan to make things right. Instead I bumped into Lui who identified himself as both manager and CEO. He had a big
Cross on his jacket which I found so disrespectful since everything out of
His mouth was a lie. I was told if I wanted the couch set I wanted I had to pay a re-stocking fee. I had to suck up the damaged goods and live with it. Patti the sales woman I worked with called me the next day yelling at me telling me I couldn’t walk into the store and yell. I would like to point out it was Lui who started yelling and telling me to suck it up after I paid 13k in cash. Lui also said to me..I have cash too you aren’t special. I almoat said if you have cash why are you working here. There were several items that were back ordered and no confirmed date of delivery. I immediately cancelled them trying to recover some of the losses of all these sub par items. The salesperson who works with Patti decided to stop the refund and told me he would use the money towards my next purchase. I said to him. I told you to refund me. It took a week for them to agree to refund me on items back ordered and not delivered. On the refund however I do not see the extra warranties I purchased returned.
The salesperson working with Patti also told me that I was questioning his integrity In his
Job and he has a very good memory. I asked him why he ended up putting 3 different sets of furniture on my bill and charged and sent items that I didn’t want or order. He had no explanation. Once they get your money they won’t deal with you and you will be made to wait. They will do everything they can to keep your money and they will lie to you to get your money. Stay clear of Patti and her partner and the so called manager Lui. Buy at Good Will you will get better service and quality. I would like to note here that I indeed contacted the customer care email and as of yet no response. This is a bad company with vultures who work for commissions. They give you all the attention you want while buying but there is no customer care post purchase.

Horrible right from the start of The…

Horrible right from the start of The “white glove” delivery who took chunks out of my drywall and left scratches on my wood floors. The 7 day return policy is BS. Sofa/love seat we spent over 4000.00 on is horribly uncomfortable and because it is 2 weeks past the 7 days, they will not allow us to exchange.😡😡😡. We would gladly pay the 25% restocking fee just to not have to sit on this awful furniture. If you’re looking for new furniture, keep looking and don’t stop here.

Dishonest company that scams! Beware!

Purchased a 3000.00 firm bed during holidays. It was delivered and I noticed it was a plush medium. I called immediately and was told I accepted the bed and I have to wait for someone from customer service to come out. Three days later the bed caved in 3 inches in center. Three weeks later the mattress inspector came out confirmed (in 2 minutes) the bed was the wrong bed and defective. Here's the interesting part...Serta doesn't make the bed in a firm, although stores keeps selling on the floor. Seems like the old bait and switch. Meantime I now have a 2000.00 mattress that I paid 3000.00 for because they won't give me a store credit or refund. Definitely their error. Spoke with everyone under the sun including Megan, Katrina and Nicholas who claims to be a manager in auburn hills headquarters. He said he'd call me back and fix the situation in 15 minutes. That was five days ago. I've left several voice messages and customer service had emailed him but I have not received any response. I believe this company is the worst! The whole situation seems illegal. I will never shop there again! Buyers beware!!! There are other mattress stores! Shop around!!!!

By far the worst company I have ever…

By far the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with! Frank, one of the managers is obviously overcompensating for his stature and is by far the worst manager I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. He will not tell the truth, if it benefits him to lie, which he does often. Fast talking salesman from back in the day that has not been able to evolve with the changing times. Chris, is who you may talk to if you have an issue with an order or anything else. He’s their HR I believe and is rude and obnoxious! Sara, another floor Manager, is dealing with a huge power struggle and it shows in her job. Then Brian..yes the other Manager for Auburn Hills (many are needed for one job apparently) is a fast talker who is not at all genuine. Warning to anyone who may shop here. It’s not a good business and shipping is estimated at 28 weeks and sales staff is supposed to say “aren’t you glad it’s so quick”?? That’s terrible! They are using the shipping situation as a crutch but already had poor delivery service prior. You would be better off shopping at Value City or Amazon where you will get your furniture within a week. These are not reputable people at all..I should know! Business is all about how you treat the ones who make you money in every aspect, Gardner White does not adhere to that basic principle. If you go directly to say Temperpediacs website you will see the exact same price for a LUXBreeze mattress but with 30% off whereas Gardner White only gives 25% off. They will push you to open a credit card with a 29.99 percent APR. You would be better off using your own low interest cc. Fast talking sales is what they do. They have really benefited from the demise of Art Van but the way they treat people and the power trips they are all on; I don’t suspect that will last long. Shop directly with venders or somewhere else. Honest truth of Gardner White.

Gardner White warranty SCAM

Gardner White warranty SCAMS people out of their money. they do not care about you after they have your money. Their customer service can't help the customers. People have been. here is how the warranty works, they sell you the warranty on your furniture, refuse to replace/fix it under the complimentary one year warranty but call and tell you, you can file a claim under your extended warranty where they will always tell you this kind of damage does not qualify. That's a SCAM, FRAUD and CROOKED company.

Unethical "Comfort Guarantee" Pay Extra $1,799.99 to reselect mattress

Recently purchased the king sized Aireloom Night Stars 5000 LuxeTop Plush Mattresses Collection for $4,999.99 + 2 pillows (each pillow was $179.99 or $359.98) and the cooling bed protector for $269.99. You cannot get the "Comfort Guarantee" to make a reselection on your mattress without it. Unfortunately, we have been unable to enjoy this mattress due to a hump in the middle and want to select the king Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt for $3,899.99. We assumed that we would have the 10% restocking ($500) + $199 added fee removed from the surplus $1,100 between the mattress costs. Since our sales associate was new and did not disclose this unethical practice, we went in the store to confirm with the store manager. Gardner White instead will pocket the $1,100 and expects us to pay an additional $699 to make a mattress reselection. In total, that means we will be paying $1,799.99 extra for a mattress. This is absolutely deceitful and greedy by Gardner White. The sales associate has tried to be helpful given this situation. I have reached out to multiple "customer experience" individuals with no success. I find it very interesting since Gardner White claims to care about "customer satisfaction". If it were me, I'd look somewhere else to buy a mattress. Anywhere else!
