This is certainly not the most rugged capable watch as a matter of fact it's a considerable let down. It's definitely not worth even the $100 off It's not even worth $100 I don't know why you wanna sc... See more

Garmin s12 golf watch refuses to pair
Garmin s12 golf watch refuses to pair.
LI've tried all the tips including a reset
What to do next?
BLUETOOTH only compatible with 8 headphones
The Garmin forerunner watch I bought was supposed to be Bluetooth compatible. It's compatible with only 8 different types of headphones. I talked to customer service who said tough, the compatible devices were buried in the FAQs which you should have read before purchase. I'm now stuck with a watch that doesn't work as advertised.
Big problems with watches
Big problems with watches. Update can broke your watch even after 2 year use. Expensive but not usable watches.
Defective Edge 540, asked to loan Garmin Money!!!
I just bought a Garmin Edge 540 direct from Garmin.com. It arrived quickly and I went out for my first ride... GREAT! Lovely device, upgraded from Edge 1000 so night and day. HOWEVER, when I got home, I plugged into macbook and then the issues started. Updates were needed and it asked me to fire up Garmin Express but then it just would not connect. 45 mins on chat with customer support and then eventually they said that a few devices have this issue and they need to send a replacement... however they asked me to pay AGAIN for the device in order to send it out. WHAT??? I would expect a deposit hold or an 'at cost' refundable amount but they wanted me to pay more than I originally paid (I got a discount) in order to send a new device out. I felt like Garmin is asking me to crowdfund them or loan them some money. I bought a defective device DIRECTLY and they want to take more money than I paid originally out of my bank account to send a new device. Yes they said they would refund but what if they go bust, or there are logistic issues... that is me c£800 out of pocket with no working device! Garmin, please review your customer journey... and STOP sending DEFECTIVE devices out when it is a known issues. It looks like I now need to send back, wait for them to assess, and then wait for them to send a new unit out. POOR.
Expensive and no customer support when needed....Avoid…
I have a couple of Garmins and all good watches until it goes wrong! My fenix 6 pro when blank last week for no reason! none of the support systems are working and trying to get in touch with Garmin is absolutely Impossible
Garmin RVR 315 rear bicycle radar
Garmin RVR 315 rear bicycle radar. Very good but expect device lifetime use minus four years. No value for money ☹️
Garmin Approach G12
Garmin Approach G12. Shocking. On my second now after returning the first. Freezes mid round whether its cold or warm weather. This will be returned for a full refund. Do not buy.
Refurbished instead of real change
I've bought a Garmin S2 scales to add to my Garmin ecosystem, but now looks like a bad decision. For the 4x price of a scale I got buggy scales which I couldn't return, and which were eventually changed for a refurbished ones.
So all in all I paid for a new scales, but got refurbished after 2 months of troubles
Garmin Forerunner 255
Garmin Forerunner 255 - consistently breaking. First time it happened and reported within warranty period. They provided a short term fix but issue comes back within the warranty period and they do not cover it. Had multiple Garmin devices from them but never again after this poor experience.
GLO2 updates - only possible on certain PCs/ laptops
GLO2 GPS - check the firmware updating process before purchase.
Garmin does not offer GLO2 firmware updating via IpadPro or Android tablets.
Garmin WebUpdater only functions on certain Mac or Windows PCs and laptops.
Best check the updating process for any other Garmin devices for the same problem BEFORE purchase, to avoid having to buy another PC or laptop to keep updated.
Disappointing Service and Unfair Refund Policy
I had high hopes for Garmin and was excited to try their ecosystem, but my experience has been deeply frustrating. My order initially arrived incomplete—only the accessory was delivered, but not the watch itself. From there, I had to escalate the issue, fill in forms, and make over five calls to customer support just to get a resolution.
I explicitly mentioned wanting a refund, yet more than a month later, a watch was suddenly shipped to me. When I then tried to return it, I was told I wouldn’t receive a full refund.
To be fair, the customer support agents were friendly and tried to help, but the overall service process and policies are unacceptable. A company like Garmin should have a much smoother and fairer resolution process for issues like this. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider investing in the Garmin ecosystem altogether.
I've come to realise how totally…
I've come to realise how totally inaccurate the sleep recording is on my vivoactive 5 which makes me wonder how inaccurate all the other stats are. Unhappy that I have spent over £200 on a smart watch that is so inaccurate.
Lack of customer care!
After contacts with various people at Garmin, Garmin clearly shows that customers who have problems with products, Edge 520 Plus, after the warranty period has passed are completely uninteresting to them. No spare parts are available, even if I am prepared to pay - in other words, Garmin sees three years as an appropriate life cycle for its products, after which they disclaim all responsibility.
Garmin offers a 15% discount if I want to order a new equivalent product - wishful thinking - Bye Bye Garmin, forever!
No regard for disabled customers
Well that can I say? Bought a watch that didn’t have the functions advertised, I am disabled and so explained I can’t return or have people coming to the house, 0 care or consideration from the customer support team, one day just sent UPS to my house to pick up the watch unannounced! (I have a poor immune system hence why I couldn’t do this/have people coming!) tried to resolve multiple times over email and via the chat function with no concern for what I was saying and no offer to help other than they could only refund if they received the product. I wish I’d never bought from them, caused me weeks of stress from late delivery, uncaring and just generally not listening customer service and being left with an expensive product that doesn’t do what I need it to. I’ve been in tears with the stress of it.
£800 wasted!!! No customer service help either!
Over £800 for a watch less than 6 months ago and it has stopped working. To be told they have a worldwide problem and don’t know when it will be fixed. Never had this with Apple! Lesson learned!!!
Your new watch breaks in the warranty…
Your new watch breaks in the warranty period, they agree it is faulty but will only replace it with a reconditioned one.
Wish I could give 0 stars! Avoid
Wish I could give 0 stars!
Lost my goods and they did not offer refund.
Expected me to contact the courier they picked, Also the police.
After contacting them with both led me back to Garmin. They did not fulfil their legal obligations and just washed hands of me.
Order cancelled 3 times…
Tried to order a watch 3 times. Order went through and cancelled every time. Used different payment method each time. Awful!
Bent over backwards to assist me.
I had a problem with my Fenix 6 Pro watch and it was not able to be resolved with the watch, however, it was resolved in another way, which I was more than satisfied with.
The team there did everything they could to ensure that I was made to feel like a valued customer and I can't thank them enough.
I wish all multinational companies had the same attitude and goals as Garmin have.
Garmin customer support, or lack of
I was looking to purchase a Garmin DriveCam 76, a satnav with built in dashcam. This is the replacement for the earlier model I have owned for a number of years. The new model comes with all the bells and whistles expected of new technology including wifi and linking to my phone. But all this comes at a price - over £400 on Garmin's web-site. Scrolling through the specs I find right at the bottom a note that there will be "security updates up until at least 06/07/2024". Yes, that's right. Security updates were only guaranteed until last July. I emailed Garmin to see if this was right - surely they meant 2029 at least? The first reply was they couldn't find the information I referred to, even though it is on their own site. I replied giving them a link and a screen shot. The second reply was to give me a phone number I could call to try and get an answer. This is customer support? So thank you Garmin I'm now going to save around £300 by buying a Nextbase dashcam and I'll use one of the navigation apps on my phone when I need a satnav.
These days selling satnavs must be an uphill struggle against ever improving apps on phones and with this level of customer support Garmin aren't helping themselves. A major company scoring only 1.7 on a review site ought to be ringing alarm bells.
On the positive side, they did come back to me quickly in response to my emails and the customer service surveys came through even quicker. Whether anyone will take note of the response, who knows.
