Four of us had lunch our friends kindly treated us.
Our Chicken ham and leek pie was dreadful the mash potato was Luke warm as were the peas . It was extremely over priced and very poor value . This is the second time we have had a poor quality lunch at Garsons Esher
So disappointing.
The young lady that served us was delightful no complaints concerning service.

We used the cafe but we felt like we…
We used the cafe but we felt like we were all sitting on top off each other as there were too many tables put close together no room for the staff to clear the tables. We had a scone each which were very dry and cost over £2.00for each one over priced and not even home baked
As for the actual garden centre when you could find in because that was small in comparison to the rest of the place. I did think a garden centre might carry more of the word garden plants etc but instead there was a children’s play park. No staff to ask any questions as for the inside large toy section, clothes etc but it’s supposed to be a garden centre, more like a bit of everything place. Plus not an easy place to find. So in a nutshell it’s never going back or even recommend from us.
Lunch at Garsons
We went for lunch in Garsons and unfortunately were rather disappointed. I ordered a sausage and onion baguette - two long brioche buns came with two sausages looked industrial and just too much bread and not great quality sausages. Also ordered tea for two and got one pot of tea, with one teabag and only half full - it was changed when I raised the issue with 2 tea bags and the water to the top - but they had given us two cups - so think it should have been noticed.. It is a really nice location, but won’t be going again for lunch anytime soon - maybe just coffee and cake..
Lunch gone bad…
Went for lunch with my daughter and friend the burger I ordered was disgusting the meat was off I am pleased I only took two small bites
I have had a bad taste in my mount I can’t seem to get rid of still
No one seem to be concerned I did ask them to remove plate
They asked if I wanted another burger I said no I didn’t want to take a chance of more rotting meat
Garsons Santa - don't waste your money!
Poor quality, dingy den with unwrapped toys. Santa wasn't great with my children. Over priced miserable experience!
Would not recommend.
Father Christmas experience
Visited Santa's Grotto with granddaughter. Very poor experience and certainly not worth the money. Instead of a nice lead up to seeing Santa, you just wait outside a door by plant section, nothing christmasy, and then led into a room. Child sits on a bench, asked a few questions and then given a present, not wrapped up, and not age appropriate. Then as you go out you can buy merchandise. Picture £8 and not good quality. For £15.50 plus a £1.50 booking fee it really was not worth the money. Better experiences elsewhere. The restaurant prices are exorbitant and a long wait.
It’s become a ripoff, unfortunately
Been going to PYO over the last ten years. Kids have outgrown it now but wife and I still went as it was always a lovely day out and we got some fun picking fresh veg and fruits. We live in a flat so it also kind of compensated for not having a garden. Anyway, last weekend was probably our last visit. We were shocked to find out at the checkout that they no longer discount the entry charge from the total. We didn’t pick a lot - some beans, a few small heads of cauliflower, some berries, apples, etc. But it came to a staggering £31, and that’s of course on top of the booking fee. ‘You’re having a laugh’ was my initial reaction. Promptly paid up and left, probably never to return again unless they reverse this ludicrous policy change. It’s no wonder they haven’t claimed this page on Trustpilot, but I imagine they do read the reviews and scoff.
Have to pay entrance fee plus the cost…
Have to pay entrance fee plus the cost for fruits and veg separately, they don't deduct the entrance free. Don't recommend for anyone , all the other farms that I've been they deduct not this one .. not going again to this farm .. very disappointed
Bye bye, now not getting the entrance fee taken off what you pick, £47 for brocoli, raspberries and blackberries absolute joke. Won't be returning unfortunately.
Went to Garson's pyo today with my nanny kiddies. Been going since I was a child myself and then have taken all of my nanny charges over my 21 year career and also my 8 year old son. Unfortunately I wont return. They no longer deduct the entrance fee off of produce you pick, i hadn't realised this before mentioning to the kids we we're going to pyo (they love pyo) some raspberries, blackberries and broccoli later coming to a grand total of £37 add the £10 entrance fee and I'm down £47. Absolute joke, the area you're based in is a wealthy area and it's always busy and popular i think this is wrong and getting very greedy. Gutted to say I will no longer be returning and will no longer be recommending garsons farm as a nice thing to do with the family or for my nanny community. Such a shame. I'll be taking my business to other pyo farmswith friendly staff and good value produce for your money.
A Truly Disappointing Visit to The Orangery at Garsons
My recent visit to The Orangery at Garsons for a coffee and cake break while shopping was unfortunately a complete letdown. My wife and I were hoping for a pleasant refreshment, but what we received was far from it.
The coffee was incredibly weak. My cappuccino was virtually tasteless, and my wife's latte was no better – it literally looked and tasted like warm milk. When I politely complained, the staff informed me they only use a single shot and that an extra shot would cost an additional £1. They did reluctantly provide us with a second order, but honestly, the coffee quality was so poor we still struggled to taste any actual coffee.
To add to the disappointment, we were advised that for cake, we could only choose from the slices that were already cut, as the whole cakes were still defrosting. The idea of paying for previously frozen cake was unappealing, so we decided to skip it entirely.
This experience genuinely made us question the overall quality offered at The Orangery. It's a shame, as Garsons is a well-known establishment, but The Orangery is doing them a disservice and frankly, ruining their reputation.
On a brighter note, we've discovered a fantastic alternative: Alver Valley Garden Centre in Gosport. Their coffee is excellent, and they even have live music on Friday afternoons. We'll definitely be taking our business there in the future.
GARSONS SWINDLE
Been going to Garsons PYO for 34 years
So disappointed this year with the money grubbing change
Previously you prebooked and the prepayment was deducted from what you bought
This year they’ve changed policy
Now the pre booking is treated as an entrance fee and not deducted from what you buy
So if 2 of you go that’s £5 (2 x £2.50) entry
If you only buy £5 worth of produce it’s effectively costing double!
It’s outrageous

Pricing is extortionate
This year Garsons is charging a non refundable entrance fee for pick your own fruit and veg. For a family of five this makes it very expensive if you don’t pick cherries (2 weeks a year) or strawberries, as their prices are comparable to buying premium organic produce. Cauliflower is charged per piece in instead of per kilo, which is very strange as it means you end up with £8 per kg cauliflower. We were visiting Garsons 4 times a year, but due to its pricing policy we’re probably going to reduce that to once a year and rather go to a smaller pick your own farm instead.
Our favourite garden centre
Our favourite garden centre
So pretty with the summer decorations.
The lady in the plant centre was very friendly and helpful.
Our fish n chips were excellent. Especially the salty chips.
Oh dear
The Farm now charges for entry without discounting it off the price of produce. Myself and 2 small grandchildren had to pay £7.50 before we bought any produce. No other establishment charges me entry to go shopping. Not likely to be returning in a hurry
Not sure what they got an award for
Not sure what they got an award for. Maybe that was 10 years ago, when it was good and vibrant. Now I was very disappointed. Farm shop which used to be excellent is now a sad neglected experience. Deli has been dumbed down, hardly anyone in attendance, shelves dumbed down, no home made pies anymore, exorbitant prices - ie, £9 for a cake! Why are we still forced to walk through the whole store just to get the farm shop? We used to be able to park right outside the farm shop, not anymore. Customer experience has deteriorated. Shall not visit the shop anymore, Waitrose have far better produce now.
Most expensive vegetables around
Went to garsons farm.mainly to browse around because the sale was on decided to go into the farm shop to purchase a few things paid by card ,on arriving home found that I had been charged £1-90 for a small Turnip
This in my eyes is absolute robbery so WARNING when shopping at Garsons farm Check your receipt
You could be overcharged like myself

Disappointing Restaurant experience
We travelled quite a way to Garsons in Esher, to have lunch and to Xmas shop. The Christmas decoration set-up was extensive and Expensive! However the ridiculously long queue to place a simple lunch order was painfully slow (20 mins plus) as only one person was coping with all the hot food orders, yet there were many waiting staff delivering cakes and coffees from the other till point. The disappointment was the poor quality of the food and the high cost of it. Dry American pancakes, inedible congealed bacon smothered in cheap maple flavoured syrup. More 'fair ground fast food' than restaurant quality. I asked for a refund which I then had to re-queue for at the same till point. To be fair the staff were helpful but swamped. My partners meal was equally disappointing but we decided not to waste anymore time on it.
Garsons: A Haven for Plant Lovers and Food Enthusiasts
One of the highlights of my week is visiting Garsons Garden Centre and Farm Shop. Whether it's browsing their stunning variety of plants or picking up seasonal essentials, Garsons never fails to impress with its high-quality selection. The food choices are top-notch, and the general standard of the shop is always impeccable. What makes the experience truly outstanding is the staff – well-trained, knowledgeable, and clearly proud of the exceptional service they provide. I’m so grateful to have such a fantastic place right on my doorstep!
This place is awesome
This place is awesome, enormous shop floor, huge plant range, coffee shop great (vegan options) farm shop and food hall is fantastic- all in a pretty village setting. They have the best selection of decs at xmas too.
Very expensive fruit! Be warned!!
If you're going to pick fruit, take plenty of money! Extortionate for strawberries and raspberries which grandchildren love to pick! Over £25 for 1 small pot of strawberries and 2 small pots of raspberries and that's having £9 booking fee deducted!!!
Shame. I like Garsons but won't be caught like that again.
