Brilliant as always

Always excellent service from Gas Smart. It is so easy to book, great communication from beginning to end and always a brilliant engineer attends. We have been having our boiler serviced by them for a few years now and I wouldn't hesitate to use them for any plumbing related work that needed doing. So nice to have someone you can really trust and rely on

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 – Exceptional Service!

Absolutely thrilled with GAS Smart and Steven! After being without heating and hot water, Steven came out late on a Friday, quickly diagnosed that my 18-year-old boiler needed replacing, and explained everything clearly. He went above and beyond, working after hours, on his own time, and even on his day off to fit the new boiler so we weren’t left without heat.

Sarah is amazing too, always keeping in touch and coordinating everything seamlessly.

I can honestly say I never leave reviews, but in this case it is totally worth it. Steven’s expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail are exceptional. The work was tidy, polite, and efficient. I’ve used GAS Smart several times and every time they impress. Honestly, I would give 10 stars if I could. If you need any heating work, call GAS Smart—Steven’s experience really shows.

Terrible service and unprofessional communication

I had been a loyal customer of Gas Smart Heating for nearly 2 years and up until now I never had any issues. Sadly, my most recent experience has been nothing short of shocking and has completely changed my opinion of this company.

I reached out a week in advance asking them to look into boiler issues at my properties. From the very beginning, communication was a complete disaster. I had to chase repeatedly just to get replies to my emails and calls. They assured me that jobs were booked, but when the day came, no jobs had actually been created in their system. This meant my tenants were left waiting around all day with no time slot provided. To make matters worse, the contact number given for the company never answered – it felt like nobody was actually available when needed.

One of the jobs was essentially a return visit for the same recurring problem – a blocked condensation pipe. Instead of fixing it properly, the engineer simply cut the pipe and dropped it into a mop bucket. I had already explained the exact issue beforehand so there was no need for investigation, yet I was still charged £96 for what I consider an inadequate “fix.”

I tried to deal with this fairly and gave the company every opportunity to resolve the issue professionally. Rather than acknowledging the poor service or offering to put things right, I was told bluntly: “If you’re not happy, move on.” That response was absolutely shocking. Instead of showing accountability or customer care, the attitude was dismissive and unprofessional.

To make matters worse, the business owner even accused me of trying to damage his small business, when in reality I was only trying to help by pointing out clear service failures and suggesting how things could be improved. As a loyal customer of two years, this was very disappointing to hear.

Good service is about accountability and rectifying mistakes, but unfortunately this company chose to deflect blame rather than resolve the problem. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Gas Smart Heating and will not be using their services again.

This matter related to two separate addresses owned by the landlord. From the outset, we advised that we were extremely busy, but the landlord insisted on only using us. Despite this, we still attended in the evening to assist.

More than once, we were threatened with bad reviews if we did not attend sooner and again when charges were raised for our visits. One of the properties was found to be dangerous, and at the other, the boiler installation had been poorly carried out, meaning further corrective work was required.

Specifically regarding the property mentioned in this review: the condensate pipe had been incorrectly installed and was impossible to access for clearing blockages, as it was run behind integrated appliances and fitted units. Our first priority was to restore hot water and heating for the tenant, which we achieved with a temporary repair. A quotation was then provided for the corrective work to resolve the installation properly.

The landlord was fully aware that we charge for a diagnostic visit — this is confirmed during booking and clearly stated on our website. At the end of our visit, the tenant had heating and hot water, and a quotation for the additional work was supplied.

We also note that the reviewer has a history of leaving highly negative reviews for other companies — including letting agents — often centred around financial disputes. This pattern suggests that their review may not provide a balanced or reliable reflection of our service.

Our priority will always remain tenant safety, professional standards, and compliance with regulations. While we regret that the landlord feels this way, we will continue to act in the best interests of tenants and carry out all work to the correct standards

What a lovely company

What a lovely company. I was so anxious about the quotes I was getting everywhere for my cooker to be installed,they were cheapest. They came quick, very friendly, and done the job perfectly. I will be recommending this company to everyone

New Boiler Installed

Gas Smart Heating provided exceptional service from start to finish! With prompt and frequent communication from Steven and Krissi, and the skilled work of engineers Tim and Mike, we were impressed every step of the way.

Tim's diligence in investigating and repairing our previous boiler issues, coupled with Krissi's quick scheduling of a new boiler installation, was remarkable.
Mike's efficiency, tidiness, and friendly demeanor during the installation were commendable.

We're thrilled with our new system and will undoubtedly turn to Gas Smart Heating for any future needs!

Excellent service!

I had a new boiler installed by Steve three years ago, and it has been serviced by Gas Smart ever since then.
The team are professional, reliable and have great communication skills.

Excellent Steve came and had a look at my boiler explained everything reassured me all was ok and working fine. Made me realise I’m paying over the odds for an insurance policy. Will be my go to man now for maintenance of the boiler.
