33 Year Member

I have been a member for 33 years and the quality and availability of decent accomodations has been slowly going down hill the whole time. For example, Haliburton Heights was a favorite spot for us and is no longer available. The repair and replacement of furniture or appliances rarely happens. The central air was replaced by noisy window units, they've been using the same furniture for the last 33 years and the only new thing was the washer/dryer unit in all that time. There is a definite lack of support from Geoholiday for keeing the resort in good repair. Save your money, stay away, FAR away!

Need to use your points but we have nothing for you.

Firstly if i could give less then a star i would. You have till the 31st to use your points. However we have nothing in your province for you to go and use. Called the resort which is canadian and the reception stated they have no bookings and are open for business however, Geo controls the bookings USA, and lied saying she was canadian when the question was asked , however she still said they were booked and there was nothing they could do on their side, hummm little bit of taking care of their own??

Biggest scam

Biggest scam, just like the other comments, points that I’ve never been able to use. I’ve been paying maintenance fees for years and haven’t gone anywhere. Scam scam scam!

Cannot book a vacation - scam

We need 19000 points to go anywhere. We have been members for almost 20 years and never used any points. That is about $10,000 down and 800 per year for dues. They truly are a scam.

Laziest Employees

I have not heard from these people in over 6 months. They are impossible to get ahold of and when I could in the past they simply told us they would not help. It should not be this hard to get someone to answer an email. We’ve never used the timeshare and couldn’t use the free trips because they made it so difficult. They also are not free! There are nonrefundable deposits and extra reservation fees. The trips would cost an extra $600 and there were specific airports we would have to use that would still involve a 14 hour drive to get there. They lied and said 5,000 points would be enough for our family of five to go anywhere at any time. It barely gets us two days. Our points also can only be booked 30 days out, which they never explained, and that makes it impossible to get work off, book flights, etc. I’ve called and tried to reason with them about this twice. I got different answers both times and ultimately told “that’s impossible”. The more information I get from them the more I know they lied to us. Now that I’m trying to cancel this because of their dishonesty, it’s even harder to get answers or hear back. It’s been months and we’ve paid them thousands of dollars to be able to vacation on a yearly basis. We want our timeshare canceled because it obviously does not work the way they say it does and they do not do anything about it.

This company is a SCAM

This company is a SCAM! Do not buy/fall for this companies lies. We have never been able to use our "timeshare" (we bought in 2014!) and we were lied to about having it fully deeded.
They have had to change business names several times just to evade the BBB and other sites. Geoholiday, Starpoint, Sapphire just to name a few.
We have never missed a payment but with the pandemic it's getting harder for everyone to pay the ever-increasing annual fees.
We weren't even allowed to use the one week at the very resort where we bought it.
If I could give 0 stars I would.

impossible to get out of

impossible to get out of. No accommodations for pandemic or termination of contract. I hope more people see this and share their experiences because it will likely be the same; bad.
