Disconnection

I have happily used the Geo smart thermostat for several years and it's been great. However they have just informed me that they're switching it off. Forcing me to buy and install a new system. I'm astonished that this practice is allowed and certainly wouldn't buy from them again. Especially not knowing if they might disconnect at any time.

Don’t bother

British Gas sent me this display after my other one was faulty, as soon as I plugged it in it disabled my hive hub which I’ve had to spend £50 for a new one, and the display still doesn’t work after 3 weeks, the web page doesn’t work so you cannot get help from that. British Gas are not intrested, I’m now changing suppliers

Avoid like the plague

They have decided to remotely disable my thermostat because it is old despite it working perfectly. No compensation or alternatives offered just sorry your boiler will no longer work after April. We don't have another thermostat or timer fitted so this is going to cost a fortune to sort out. Absolutely awful service from this company. Don't go near them with a barge pole.

Terrible customer service

Terrible. They are discontinuing the Cosy heating controls and not providing any customer service beyond suggesting that we buy a new heating control system. That is not good customer service or what anyone should expect from an organisation. Avoid.

Geotogether Trio II

Newly installed smart meter, the awful Octopus provided this display... which now has a configuration issue which neither old nor new provider can remedy.

Terrible company

Moved in to a house with a Cosy setup installed.

Tried to set it up for myself and couldn't get it to work.

I'm good at following instructions and had looked also at their support site.

Even the self serve support help doesn't rally help.

It suggested somewhere that if Cosy is not working then revert to your existing thermostat!

Contacted support to check whether there was anything they could advise in terms of me setting up. In case I'd missed something.

Well they just repeated what it says online and then proceeded to close the case!

So I've binned all the Cosy equipment.

Was once good. Now terrible.

Customer service couldn’t care less. There older models which aren’t available any longer were quite good. New stuff is ridiculously rubbish. Avoid.

Avoid like the plague! Do not buy!!

Avoid like the plague. Unfortunately this product should not have been released to the general public.. It seems to have been rushed out before it was fully tested and ready for the public.
It constantly fails to connect, frustratingly leaving your house cold.

Not enough engineers have heard about it so it's impossible to get it repaired and the manufacturers don't offer any support online.
They just post a useless tutorial on how to reset, install etc.. no real troubleshooting solution. It's a seriously rubbish product compared to the alternatives out there (Hive, Nest etc).
It's simply a bad product and needs to be recalled or shutdown.
Don't bother buying it, you'll be wasting your money.

Sorry for the bad review Geo, but you should have thought more about the customer than your pockets. Its over now and you need to recall this disaster of a product and give everyone their money back.

A 100% thumbs DOWN 👎 product and service.

I’ve had the cosy hub for a few years and had to have a new one 3/4 years ago £45.00.
I went to turn the heat on yesterday and the guy who rang ‘to help’ could only tell me that these are now old models and it’s best to get hive or another make.
I have a chest infection and feeling poorly, to be told this was devastating!
I would avoid this company like the plague.

From ZERO customer service to contact.

From ZERO customer service to contact. I can't pair this device up. Completely useless.
UPDATE: Well, to give them their due, they called back after a few days and helped out so happy to increase their rating.
I'd say they still have some work to do.

Geotogether service for existing equipment removed

Just received the email below:

Basically a key service feature of what i originally purchased the equipment for has ceased... If i want to continue the service that they are taking away from me I need to buy new equipment at a cost of £50.
This feels unethical and non-environmentally friendly. Make your own decision of whether to purchase from this company

The online energynote service provided with your display was developed 8 years ago using third-party technology components that are now obsolete. As a result, we are no longer able to provide reliable access to energynote, we will discontinue the service on Wednesday 30th June 2021.

The Solo II display in your home will continue to function and operate after this date but you will no longer be able to access the energynote website to view your data.

You can download your current data before 29th June 2021, your data will not be available after this date.

I concur with Mark Thompson.
They now have a new name, but the same telephone number. My Solo II equipment and smart plugs purchased from them and Amazon, will be totally redundant in June. Big deal, I can buy new equipment from them that doesn't work with solar panels!
Is this the way the industry is going? Dump your old working gear, and buy equipment that will be obsolete in a few years.

Absolute rouges! Avoid at all costs.
Solar monitor with upload and track features purchased.
Upload site was closed with no prior notice! Very very good at saying sorry to any and all enquiries though.
I was informed that they were unable to contact and inform anyone of the site closure as the connection to their site was via monitor serial number and no personal details were held on record, which contradicts their "security" reasons for closing this upload site! No alternate software offered and no further support available.
But guess what......a new monitor can be purchased with a new upload site.
These guys should be wearing stripey jumpers and ski masks.
Give to a worthwhile charity instead of being ripped off, or choose any alternate monitors.
