I have complain about my last visit .

I have complain about my last visit .

I make choice of German autocare wakefield because you use genuine parts and you host a team 25 technicians including 7 Master Technicians and all senior technicians are Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW or Volkswagen trained.

Your staff told me I will need to leave my car with you. I always fully check my car before I leave it with any garage to protect myself.

1. On the day when I dropped off the car, there was no problem with the car. A scan was done using VCDS and live data checked. Evidence provided.

2. German Autocare Wakefield kept my car from Wednesday 24th until Friday 26th. They were only supposed to replace the CV boot. When I collected the car, I noticed an issue with the car.

3. The problems with the car are as follows:

A. P200200 fault EGR cooler
B. AdBlue system fault
C. Steering makes noise when turning right
D. 33L per 100km fuel efficiency appears on the dash. It was left idling for many hours, as this is the only option to address the road problem.
E. Over 5g soot deposited when the car was collected.

We need further investigation to check for any more issues.

I have attached fault and life data from VCDS Ross-Tech software, as well as a photo of the dashboard computer's efficiency results from my Audi.

As evidence, in the next email I will send you photos of life data, no faults from an ECU scan with the same VCDS Ross-Tech software, and, of course, a genuine OBD2 scanner tool from Ross-Tech.

Also evidence and descriptions of the engine's overheating, including burn marks on foam components and damage to the engine cover.

This is the first instance of such a condition, and a comprehensive explanation is requested.

Furthermore, we request the preservation of CCTV footage from the Wakefield site, covering the period during which the vehicle was present.

The observed damage strongly suggests an intentional act, and the resulting repair costs are substantial.

AVOID TAKING YOUR CAR HERE!!

AVOID TAKING YOUR CAR HERE!!! Work not completed as documented on the invoice.
My vehicle was booked in for a full manufacturers service, including specific repair of the handbrake and brake fluid change.
Following collection, the handbrake completely failed to hold the car on a hill park while putting the gear into park and almost crashed into the car in front.
We then moved on the flat and with the vehicle in neutral and the handbrake full on, my friend managed to push it along the road.
Clearly, despite written on the invoice ‘adjusted handbrake and tested now ok’, the handbrake had not been adjusted to required safety standard.
I will not be a returning customer.

Brilliant

Mark and Steve, and everyone at GA Sheffield have been amazing at dealing with my car after the RAC recovered it to them. It's been a long journey with the RAC, but GA have been wonderful, patient and professional. They've worked tirelessly throughout the last 9 weeks to get me back on the road. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

No attention to detail

Work carried out on my vehicle, which included the oil cooler, water pump, and rocker gasket cover replacement.

While the major work was completed, I observed a number of issues that fall short of the standards I expect, especially given the premium pricing:
• Cable duct was left damaged.
• Fan plastic damaged.
• ECU was badly scratched.
• Multiple small clips around the water pump were left loose.
• Undertray was refitted with loose screws.
• Old oil from the rocker gasket leak was not cleaned — I had to specifically request this.
• Battery cover was left open.
• Loan car was provided but was extremely dirty inside.

Given the significant investment made for the parts and labor, I would have expected the workmanship to be at least 9/10. Attention to these seemingly small details matters greatly in building trust and confidence that the car will remain reliable after the repair.

Additionally, the garage was presented as an AMG specialist, but based on my experience and observation, it operates more like a standard service garage. I believe greater transparency about this would be fair to customers.

When you consider all these small lapses together, it naturally raises concerns about the overall quality and longevity of the repairs carried out.

AMG specialists… mhhhy .

Great service and customer care

Visited the new centre in Sheffield after being loyal customers of the previous owners for many years. We have had both our family cars serviced, repaired and MOT with them this month. We have been impressed with the service, consideration and politeness shown by Steve and Mark. They spent time working through necessary repairs as there was a previous estimate from another garage and we are pleased that all the issues were resolved at an excellent price. Our experience has given us confidence to continue to use German auto care and wish them all the best in growing their business. Can certainly recommend!

Do not take your car here

This company used to be good, but now they just try and scam people to spend money when nothing is actually wrong with the car.

They told me I needed a new Torque Convertor (at around £2K + Labour) when it was correctly diagnosed by another garage as just a coil/spark plug problem) - Cost £270.00.

They told me I needed a new brake pipe because it was dangerous and about to 'pop' due to corrosion at a cost of £569.00. It was checked by another garage...the pipe was merely cleaned as it was only surface rust. No problem with the pipe at all - total cost £55.00.

They told me the front suspension had 'play'. It was checked by another garage and nothing is wrong at all.

They quoted 2 hours labour to fit an ABC Pulsation damper, when it only takes 15 minutes (look on google). They reduced the price when I told them this!

They also failed to spot a transmission oil leak during a full 'B' service, which should have included this check.

The guys on reception used to be good but are now very arrogant and condescending.

The whole atmosphere is wrong, giving me the impression that the company is either in financial difficulty (hence the need to scam people) or just run poorly.

So..Merc 220D 4matic 2018 plate

So... Took my car here March 2023 for MOT, Failed, engine management light and front suspension has play in it.
Why do the MOT when the management light is straight fail?? 45 quid later! Then to Mercedes Leeds, similar story apart from the suspension was fine, I even asked Merc Leeds to recheck the suspension with my / GAC concerns! went through two health checks and the MOT???? No issues with suspension. Engine management light is NOX sensor which Merc are sorting free of charge. German auto care wanted 770 quid for the sensor (with no advice to complain to Mercedes as it is a world wide problem )and 310 quid for the suspension!!!,! On asking the question...I was told that the assessment on the suspension was one technicians opinion against another. Merc Leeds put two separate technicians on the suspension and still found nothing wrong!! BE CAREFUL PUNTERS, really don't know what to say after that! Doubt I will be going back to GAC in a hurry!

AVOID! YOU PAY FULL PRICE FOR HALF A JOB!

AVOID! I definitely won’t be a returning customer, the standards have dropped dramatically.
I have used this company a few times over the years.
The last time my car was with them in October 2022, I collect the car and left the site to collect my kids from school.
When my kids opened the back doors the seat were all lifted with all the battery and fuses all exposed.

I called to speak with a manager a hand full of times, with the response I would get a phone call back… which did not materialise.

These guys used to take pride in their work once upon a time, but clearly things have changed.

I understand that everyone makes mistakes now and then, but for them to not even have the curtesy to call back, just shows they don’t give a damn.

German Autocare Pudsey Leeds

I bought a land rover car from this dealer 2 weeks ago and as i have cancer and heart problem, I needed a reliable car and thought this was a good honest dealer . They seemed it at first went out of their way to be helpfull it wasnt a cheap car it was higher price than some id seen but they seemed to give extra garntees and! "only have top class quality cars" But once they delivered the car to me and some things needed doing they claimed it left them ok (albeit they drove it from Leeds to Canterbury to me!) and that i would have to bring it back to them 250 miles away! I asked them to agree to get a local garage to look at it deal with it and they point blank refused claiming it was "prob a friend of mine" and they " dont use other garages!" Basically they washed their hands of it and dont want to know . I have escalated this now to the Finance Company and will also be contacting Trading Standards in Leeds to formally complain. Please save yourself a lot of stress and dont buy a car from them! I made a mistake trusting the saleman Dean .
