Excellent service

I had some items shipped to UK from Brazil. Emran coordinated the customs release, reducing the amount of bureaucracy and stress to me personally to a minimum. When the items arrived, both he and in his absence Nikki were extremely helpful in accommodating my plans (over a period of several months, as due to unforeseen circumstances my move was delayed at both ends). They always responded to emails very promptly, and were extremely efficient. All in all, I received excellent service from them, which facilitated my move greatly.

Gerson did a wonderful job doing my…

Gerson did a wonderful job doing my relocation back to the Netherlands. With travelling again soon after the container arrived in Rotterdam, Marco and Pim understood my dilemma and delivered. So did the team that brought my furniture and boxes to my house with rather complicated lay-out.

A job well done!

Still in the process of getting something shipped… I paid in full about 3 months ago but my stuff hasn’t even left the country.

Very disappointing

My experience with Gerson is very disappointing to put it very mildly. I had to move my household from The Netherlands to Morocco and wanted a professional transport without worries but instead I got a long lasting bad experience that kept me awake at night. Up until the pickup all was ok, and the pickup itself was impecable. A delivery date could not be given at the time, but after 3 weeks (and a couple of inquiries from my side) I was promised it would be delivered within another 3 weeks. So far so good.

From that point hardly anything went well. Contact with me, however polite and friendly worded was reactive, I almost never got informed about the status unless I asked for it. After the promised 3 weeks I was informed that the delivery would not take place (the reason why was never given) and even worse: a new delivery date could not be given. In the 8th week after the pickup, after several emails asking for information, finally I was told that my goods had arrived in Morocco and that a subcontractor would contact me about the exact delivery date. After 3 days I still hadn't receive any news, so I had to ask for information again. A week later and still no news, so again I had to ask for information. As my case manager was on holiday that day, a colleague said he could not make any promises beforehand except that at least I would be informed about the status the same day - again a promise that was not kept.

Fed up with how things were going I decided to contact the subcontractor myself and got connected to their contactperson. She called me back a few hours later with the message that my goods could be delivered next week, however they have prepay conditions and their invoice hadn't been paid yet, so the delivery was on hold!!!..... I informed Gerson right away and it would be taken care of, and after the weekend I got an email that the invoice had been paid. Then again, another week of nothing, no delivery, no update on the status. Only complete silence.

Going into the 11th week, on Monday I sent an email expressing my frustration. And again no reaction.... Tuesday morning, still without any news, I contacted the subcontractor only to hear that the payment hadn't arrived yet. I immediately called Gerson and informed them of how angry I had become. This resulted in an email from my case manager, informing me that again an email had been sent to the subcontractor including a proof of payment and the request to deliver as soon as possible..... exactly the same story I had been told 8 days before! I wrote my case manager back quite angry telling her of my complete dissatisfaction and - what I came to expect - got no reply back.

Later that week I finally got word from the subcontractor that the payment had arrived, and the next day the delivery took place. Today is one week further, and Gerson never contacted me to ask if all was well and to my satisfaction. I am simply being ignored. I am really happy that my delivery arrived well (all was there, nothing was damaged) but the process of almost 12 weeks was horrible.

Awesome relocation service from India to London

Gerson relocation provided a very smooth experience for relocating us from India to London.
They answered all the queries (however complex they may be) and assisted us throughout the process.

Use their service with care!!

They promised the earth but delivery felt way short! The packing service was slip-shod with poorly packed glass and crystal items. Fortunately, there was minimal damage due to careful unpacking.

If you use them, suggest close supervision, particularly for team members with limited experience or expertise.
