The MOST TERRIBLE COMPANY IN UK

The MOST TERRIBLE COMPANY IN UK. !!!
They are SCAMMERS !! Runaway from them.
Has 2 Trading names, 3 offices which ONLY a Judge can compelled them to disclose at MY hearing with them. YES, i took them to a small Claim Court. GEORGINA was compelled by the Judge to disclose their address.
TERRIBLE company, they are a FRAUD, in conjunction with JEMCARS. A typical ROUGE TRADER.

Very bad experience!!!

Very bad experience!!!
They took back the car like 4 months ago because of social distancing but they only give us 1 week notice for it.
They said we want to terminate our contract we can do that and we will get back or deposit.

That was 4 months ago and since then I can’t communicate with them at all.
No updates, no deposit, no help at all.
This is very unprofessional and disrespectful with members who they are paying the rent fee on time and they do everything they can .
So basically they can take back the car with an only 1 week short notice but if you need something you will have to wait months!!!!( of course they don’t care at all)
Isn’t this illegal?
And is against what is in the contract we signed?????

Impossible to call them or contact them!
Is there anyone here who knows how you can make a further complain?

Upfront PCO scams

After i signed up with uber i needed a PCO car. So at the uber hub there was a upfront pco scams representative was there. I asked him what is there criteria to rent the car from them. He said ' minimum 3 months rental and one months notice to returrn the car and £500 deposit. Once i got my new phone in place he then passed me to this person called Georgina where she send these e mails this information to load the details on to the Uber app. The arrangement were made to pick the car from Jemeca toyota in collinwood. The car had damaged seat at the back , the front seat had cracks and body scraches and one of the hub on the tyre was also missing. I called there office to report the damage, but by now the report has fallen on there deaf ear as the contract is signed, and if i am to return the car they will deduct £299 ponds out of my deposit as early return fee. The contract is designed to scam the customer. There is no such thing that you hire for 3 months and then you give one month notice to return car and you get your deposit back. So they kept £199 out of my deposit for early return of the car and, you have to go and your own MOT and they did not reinburse my money she made an excuse i didnt get the receipt. When the car went for repair to the seat they were supose to pay me for the one day credit they didnt pay me for that either. So i took the company to court 19/02/2020 at brentford county court. And i managed to get my portion of my money from them of £122.50. So people pass this info to every person in private hire industry if they got the car return it now and wash your hands with this company now. They are unfair and unreasonable, especialy this woman called Georgina very nasty person , she got offended by calling her 'Lady' ,i will be waiting for my money if she do not send me the money i will be sending the bailiff to collect the debt.

Really strange people. Totally crap company.

Really strange people
The most foolish thing is asking about front copy of Debit Card which I have never been asked anywhere during my years of online transaction experience.
The lady Georgina is very rude. She phoned me around "14:40" on "06 August 2019" and her tone was totally ill-mannered.
I do not recommend this company to anyone where this was recommended me by Google.
On Sunday night "4 August 2019" I did google "OttoCars", as one of my friend did recommend me this car rental company but the very first result on the top of the page displayed on Google Website was about "getupfront". I started thinking that Google knows better than people around me but I did not know that Google likes playing games sometimes, taking money from different companies and pushing people to their traps.
Thank you Google to get me screwed.

However, this was not the case, upfront still deducted £299 as the early return fee. this company is a scam and purposely steal honest peoples money. Please people go with any other company apart from them.

I wasn't given the opportunity to get a quote for myself.

Response below dated in 2017 claims of being the cheapest and damage repair is incorrect.

But if you return the car you don't have a say in if can get it repaired the cheapest.

My quotes range from £300 to £450 for exactly same job but upfront quoted me £2,000.

Drover the cheapest with a lot of flexibility.

Every time I took it down to Jemca Edgware Road kept winding me up say no fault and made me feel dump and stupid.

I wasn't imagining the faults Jerca Edwarge Road always made me feel small.

I have always received great customer service from Georgina credit to her.

READ YOUR CONTRACTS

READ YOUR CONTRACTS. They charge £299 to return your car within a YEAR. Dont make the same mistake as I did. Shop around, there are much better, transparent deals out there as I have now discovered. £299 just to return a car? Does that sound reasonable?. Its an easy one to miss because initially you think its a rolling 90 day contract (thats the minimum that I thought needed to be covered before the early return fee should be charged). But even after 3 months till one whole year you are obligated to pay £299 simply for returning the car, they call it an early return fee. Just check around to see who else charges that. The charge goes down to £149 after 1 year and then free after 2 years. Their early return fee is enforced over 2 years not 90 days. I have revised my comnent so it contains no falsehoods. I hope they revise their statement that they are the cheapest place to hire a pco car. They quite clearly are not. Also, if they have had over 400 satisfied drivers why is there only one good review? I find it hard to believe. Anyway, the biggest issue is, nobody charges a ERF after there minimal rental time. Which is why so many pooe drivers are getting caught out by this horrible and quite elaborate small print. They say you can return your car anytime, they dont clarify the one year plus you have to use the car to avoid the early return fee. I have spoken to a solicitor and though the charge is quite immoral its not illegle because its part of a contract. Albeit, unecplained uponn signing.
The best I can do is make sure everyone is clear about what they are signing up for. That is according to legal aid.

And finally, I know drivers, have been a controller as well as a driver so dealing with drivers is something I know all about. Do you really think, if explained properly, a professional driver would hire from UPFRONT knowing the extra fee for returning the vehicle? 400 drivers were happy to pay that? Someone is telling porkies!

Please avoid this company at all cost.

Please avoid this company at all cost. They are nice with you to get you take the vehicle and sign the contract and once you are with them, they will do everything to suck money from you at any occasion. You better use Europcar or Enterprise if you want to rent for a short period , buy your ow car or use Leaseplan if you want a car for a long period. Upfront is the worst and I will do everything to have all the driver who had bad experience with Upfront to sign a petition so that Uber stops referring drivers to them. Upfront is a nightmare .

I am emailing you regarding vehicle…

I am emailing you regarding vehicle registration number LR17EJX.
First of all damaged of vehicle were not as much as was asked , I asked body shop about he price and he told me about £150 maximum.

Secondly tyres of vehicle were passed MOT test, however, when I went to PHV they only asked to fix fog light and bring back Monday.
When I brought vehicle to your Jemca Garage, they all belong to you, therefore the Machanic asked for£690.
Jemca car asked £94.80for each tyre. Front pumper asked for £464.00 and fitting price £56.40.
I could fix the vehicle with lower price. However your manager asked me to hand over the key of the car.
I didn't give four weeks notice and I was expect to collect vehicle today. However Jemca car refuse to give car to me. I reported to Uber and I gave Zero star in google.
Upfront car staff were really rude.Don’t used this company please £1000 pound I lose

Beware of this firm !

Beware of this firm !
Cons :
Over the phone your told that renting period is for 3 months and you can give them 4 weeks notice after 2 months and return the car, but when you do return the car, your deposit is kept, as they expect you to rent from them for a year.
Why would anyone want to rent a pco car at £225 a week for a year?

You need to take the car in to the dealer for a service, which they pay for and promise to refund you from the weekly rental charge, but it takes weeks of emails and calls to get this refund from them.

They claim the £225 weekly rent includes insurance, service and maintenance, but on the day of service, your expected to pay for new tyres and brakes.
What does the maintenance cover, if you have to pay for tyres and brakes?

Avoid yourself the headache and go to a better a firm. There's many good pco rental firms out there.

Reply from Upfront PCO Cars

Hi there,

Thanks for the feedback. We feel you have been a little unfair with your review.

1. You signed a contract agreeing to pay a charge to return the car. Even including this fee, we are the cheapest place to rent a PCO-ready car in the UK. We also heavily discounted the charges applicable for the damage you caused to the vehicle.

2. We have over 200 drivers all going for service approx. 4 times a year. We do not know if a driver has attended the service until we are billed by Toyota on a monthly basis. As a result it can take some time for Jemca to invoice us. Despite having not received the invoices we still honoured the discount.

3. In terms of the maintenance. You never had to pay for brakes. Like most rental companies we need to incentivise drivers to look after the car and we do this by making the drivers responsible for tyres.

We have had over 400 happy drivers and we are sorry that you are not happy with how things turned out.
