If you like saving money

If you like saving money, or earning FREE money by purchasing something you have to have anyway this is the app for you. I just cashed out over $50 after only a few months of using upside. If I hadn't downloaded the app that $50 less I would have had in my bank account. Thank you upside!

I am an Uber driver & need the lowest gas price I can get

I am an Uber driver. Gas prices are an issue and are eating into my earnings. The cash back from Upside is a help in reducing my expenses. I had one frustrating problem with Upside. The Upside app sent me to a gas station with a decent price (after cash back). But the printed receipt did not have the station name or address. Upside rejected my claim due to no address on the receipt. I had to appeal the decision TWICE to get my cashback. I followed the Upside rules to the letter. It was not my fault that Upside sent me to a gas station that doesn't have an address on their receipts. You would think after multiple rejections for that reason, Upside would have removed that gas station from their list. I eventually got my cash back, but I shouldn't have to fight for it.

Professional and honest service

I have had to contact customer service maybe 2 or 3 times. Each time the support agents have been great. Their response time was very good and payed attention to details that I lay out in my emails. My problems were resolved in a timely fashion.

Specifically, I didn’t know that I couldn’t use my rewards points with my purchase so that was explained well. Also, I was missing some points so I learned too that I can not use apple pay because the system mask the purchase so upside coukdn’t verify the transaction. I provided the proof via my cards app and they credited me for the transaction that was delayed.

Upside from my experience has been thorough, fair and honest. Big kudos!

Difficult to cash out, very frustrating

I used Upside for a couple of years. Using the app at the gas station is fairly easy. It only malfunctioned a couple of times during the period that I used it. However, the app is inconsistent in transferring your money when you decide to cash out. I have cashed out several times. A couple of times it was very easy and went well, but at least two times I totally lost all my cashback refund money due to glitches or other unknown causes. It was very frustrating! I had been using the app for 6 to 8 months and went to cash out and lost all my money. There are no customer service contacts. I could not find any way to talk to anyone to get this figured out. I just gave up and lost my money both times. I stopped using it after that. Too much trouble.

Upside app is impressive.
Once you get the hang of it to claim your purchase before making the purchase.
And in no time you will see your benefits from the purchase within a couple of days.

Rarely works, Tech support sucks

I have to contact their technical support for almost every transaction. And sadly, their technical support is all AI. You enter the same into every time, then they say they’ll get back to you. It’s usually denied until I send them a copy of my credit card statement. If the app doesn’t straighten out i can’t see my time being worth the pittance in returns.

I was out out of town and two of my gas…

I was out out of town and two of my gas receipts didn’t show up. I sent Support an email with copies of the charges on my credit card and it was looked after in less than 24 hours. I was very pleased.

Had the app for a while now

Had the app for a while now. Haven't cashed in any refunds so not exactly sure how that works or how fast. But all in all pleased with the app. Especially with today's fuel prices and I drive and SUV AND a crew can pick up. I've had a couple of hiccups with receiving my rewards, but reached out to support and the issue(s) was/were resolved with no hassle(s) at all! Highly recommend.

I really love upside

I really love upside! I have a job that requires me to drive a lot so I might make a little more back than the average person does. But the longer you use it and the more frequent you use it on every fill up, you earn bonuses towards extra money back. I even enjoy using the cash back at grocery stores that they have listed and restaurants. Year-to-date in the last 4 months I've made $125 back.

Highly Recommend

I was referred by my daughter to Upside. i have found it an easy way to save money. My only complaint is it sometimes takes a while to get your cash back, but I still really like this app. Customer Service has been helpful when I’ve emailed them (there is no telephone support).

Found out my account was hacked and…

Found out my account was hacked and balance cashed out for an Apple Gift Card. Customer service states there was no breach. Even if the cash out was real, I still have not received the code to redeem. Would appreciate being able to connect with someone who could research the status of the missing gift card.
