I’m a returning customer, as I was looking for a different genre of music in a different state. GigSalad makes locating quality musical talent in different genres easy! In minutes several bands responded with their availability and quotes. I had so many choices that it took me quite awhile to listen to their UTubes and make my choice! A great problem to have! When people ask me how I find such great musical performers, I recommend GigSalad.

Charles is amazing. We booked him last year for Valentines Day and everybody requested for him to be back again. We will be booking him again in the future I can't say enough good things about him. I would give him 10 stars if I could!

What a ripoff. They take you money up front and lead you to believe a lead is from a potential client who actually viewed your profile. Not at all. They sound out blanket leads to everyone remotely in the category of what the client is seeking. The majority will not even fit your criteria. If they were legit it would be a free platform and they would take 10 0r 15% of the booking, like and real agent does. Shameful company that takes money from entertainers and could care less about focusing leads to the entertainer's criteria,

They aren’t sent to everyone, but rather to those who may be a good fit so planners can compare options. We understand that not every lead will align perfectly, and that can be frustrating.
We also want to note that we do offer a free profile option, where you can receive requests and only pay a 5% service fee when you book a gig through the platform. For those who choose to upgrade, memberships provide additional tools to increase visibility and respond to more opportunities.
Additionally, if a client books you directly, you can mark the event as booked on the platform and simply pay the service fee, so you’re not limited to one path.
We’d be happy to take a closer look at your account and share tips on improving lead quality and fit. Your feedback is important, and we’ll continue working to make the experience better for our members.

I liked the number of quotes we got
I liked the number of quotes we got. I do not like that I pay the performer a deposit but have to pay gigsalad the whole amount upfront. I prefer to pay a deposit and would even pay the gigsalad fee but i did not book as many vendors as I need because I cannot afford to pay for 100% upfront as a non profit school.
I was also frustrated that I needed multiple vendors for different dates but this platform only lets you book on the date you asked for so it means asking for multiple quotes and getting repeat people.

To clarify, we do collect the full amount at the time of booking to securely hold the date, but in many cases, only the deposit is released to the performer upfront, with the remaining balance held until after the event. That said, we completely understand how paying in full at checkout can be limiting, particularly for schools and nonprofits, and we appreciate you sharing that perspective.
Regarding multiple dates, you’re right that each request is tied to a specific event, which can result in overlapping quotes. We know that’s not always ideal when coordinating several bookings, and your feedback is helpful as we look at ways to improve that experience.

The service is above average BUT, when I attempted to add the venue name and address information neither were available or listed. I had to do so manually. Otherwise, communication with the service provider and overall user friendliness were above average.
