Attended the ‘Gin festivals uk’

Attended the ‘Gin festivals uk’, Great British Gin Festival in Weston-super-Mare, and it felt like a giant rip off. We paid £17+ per ticket, to go into a hall where there 3 trade stands with small gin tasting samples. There were 5-6 other stands with a huge variety of gins, but you weren’t allowed sample is these. They were only purchasable by the glass via a token system. The website advertised a token system of £5 per token, except on arrival we discovered the minimum purchasable quantity was £20! It also said you’d get a 25ml test tube of gin to take home - we weren’t. It advertised food- there was one hot dog type van. It advertised demos/talks- there was one stage and only 3 talks advertised.
Essentially we paid £17 for 3 tiny samples, and a glass which you would have had filled, if you’d paid the £20 for a token. If you were in a large group, it may have been worth buying a token I guess, but we were small with a driver ( no non-alcoholic alternative options offered, unlike many other festivals like this.)
Would never recommend this to anyone, unless you want to pay a lot of money to try a lot of gins. So disappointing.
