Spesso le persone mi chiedono cosa significhi Giromagi.
Le iniziali di Gianni, Romano, Marcello, Giulio, nomi di quattro fratelli, formano la parola Giromagi e sono il primo passo del lungo viaggio che sto per raccontarvi.
Questa avventura parte nel 1996 in Toscana, a pochissimi km dal lago Trasimeno, in un piccolo appezzamento di terreno in cui si trovava una serra di pochi metri quadri, di proprietà di mio padre Patrizio.
Proprio di mio padre, da sempre molto legato alla famiglia, fu l’idea del nome. Una volta in pensione, dopo una vita da ferroviere, mi chiese cosa ne pensassi di investire nel mondo delle piante grasse. Al tempo ero un giovane studente di agraria, e immaginando tante possibilità in un mercato così nuovo ed inesplorato, risposi “Proviamo!”, coinvolgendo anche i miei fratelli minori.
Inizialmente, in effetti, l’idea sembrò piuttosto bizzarra non tanto al sottoscritto quanto al direttore di banca cui chiedemmo un finanziamento per partire, e che poi, timidamente, ce lo concesse.
Così è iniziato il nostro viaggio, che nei primi anni ha esplorato tutta Italia, dai paesi più piccoli alle città più grandi, alla ricerca di negozi di fiori e garden che fossero interessati alle nostre piante. Un viaggio fatto di strette di mano e incontri con tantissime persone, che con il passare del tempo sarebbero diventate non solo affezionati clienti, ma anche buoni amici.
Ad oggi sono i numeri che parlano, descrivendo un’azienda in continua crescita che opera con successo in tutto il mondo.
Con una superficie produttiva di 50.000 metri quadrati, Giromagi riesce attualmente ad immettere nel mercato internazionale più di 10 milioni di piante all’anno, offrendo un assortimento di varietà che non ha eguali. Ed è proprio sulle varietà che si fonda il nostro successo: un impegno continuo che dura da oltre 20 anni nel trovare e selezionare varietà rare e nel riuscire a riprodurle in quantità.
L’azienda negli anni è riuscita a selezionare e formare collaboratori di altissima professionalità e in grado di capire e trovare le soluzioni più idonee a soddisfare le richieste dei clienti e dei mercati europei ed extra europei. America, Russia, Cina e Giappone, solo per citarne alcuni, sono mercati estremamente complicati a causa di regolamentazioni e restrizioni in materia di problematiche fitosanitarie, cites, dogane etc. che però la nostra azienda è sempre riuscita a gestire con successo.
Possiamo lavorare con clienti di tutto il mondo, trovando di volta in volta soluzioni ad hoc e fornendo per ogni specifico Paese le certificazioni necessarie.
Il nostro percorso continua e il futuro sarà sicuramente pieno di sfide difficili, ma anche per questo stimolanti. La continua ricerca per una migliore sostenibilità aziendale tramite packaging ecologici, riciclo delle componenti produttive e una produzione a basso impatto ambientale è la missione dell'azienda Giromagi. Grazie anche ad una logistica sempre più performante e ad un’attenta programmazione con i clienti, l’azienda riesce ad avere consegne sempre più puntuali e veloci.
Il futuro che ci attende richiederà un enorme sforzo per continuare ad anticipare le tendenze e le modalità di commercio. Siamo comunque pronti ad andare sempre avanti, restando in prima fila a segnare la strada e creare il mercato.

In my opinion, 5 stars is not really enough, I would give more if I could! I absolutely *love* this seller, ordered several times from them and was always extremely happy with delivery/plant health/communication etc. I live outside Italy so they send plants without pots in that case, but everything was very nicely packed and the plants I received were almost identical to the photos on their website. What can I say, the only downside is that I will probably order again from them, and I am *really* running out of space for new plants! 😅

Plant quality was inconsistent, 2 plants of the 7 ordered had problems of rot. However giromagi were very reactive and immediately offered to remboursé the cost of the damaged plants. I would re order plants from this company. Excellent site, simple ordering, well packaged, rapid delivery

Ordered multiple plants on Thursday, was expecting the delivery to take a week or longer, but today is wednesday and the package arrived. All the plants were packed nicely, there was no damage or loss of spines to even the more fragile ones. They even send an extra Haworthia as a bonus.

Just received the plants. I hope all of them can recover from no soil transportation as all of them are desert plants. The only drawback is the shipping cost of 30euros. That is a lot. Otherwise the variety of plants is great.

Great deal, beautiful plants, fast service! The only downside for me is that the plants are shipped bare-root, which means I have to repot everything upon arrival. I understand this may be their preferred shipping method, but I've had different experiences with other growers, so this seems to be more of a company choice than a necessity. That said, the plants arrived healthy and matched the photos on the website. Overall, it's a reliable company with quality products, and I would definitely recommend buying from them.
