Subscription trap — no receipts, no renewal notices, support refuses refund

Signed up for a $2.99 trial in April 2026. Was charged $49.99/month for four consecutive months (April, May, June, July) — $199.96 total. During the entire subscription period I received exactly ONE email from Glam Guides: the welcome email on day one. Not a single payment receipt. Not a single pre-renewal notice. Not a single reminder that the trial was ending.

The subscription is billed directly through their site, NOT through the App Store, so my phone never surfaced any renewal info either. In-app notifications are off by default. Once you sign up, the service goes completely silent while it keeps charging your card.

When I finally noticed and contacted support, I received three identical copy-paste replies (from Susan Chavez) refusing a refund, citing a "30-day window from original purchase." No engagement with any of the arguments I raised. No acknowledgement that Mastercard Merchant Rules require transaction receipts for each recurring payment. No willingness to check internal usage logs.

Subscription was cancelled after my complaint, but no refund. Bank chargeback in progress under Mastercard Reason Code 4853.

Avoid unless you're prepared to check your bank statements every month yourself — they will NOT remind you.
