Avoid this company!!!!!

Avoid this company. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them under any circumstances.

What should have been an exciting renovation became one of the most stressful and expensive experiences I have ever had. I live in the UK and relied on this company to manage my renovation in Spain professionally and honestly. Instead, I was left with poor workmanship, unauthorised changes to the agreed specification, additional costs and a complete breakdown in communication once they had been paid.

I had a detailed specification for the work, yet important decisions were made without my knowledge or approval. In a written message, the builder admitted:

"We assumed you wanted the doors if they didn't have the trim, and we also thought that leaving the tiles in good condition would save us work and time to meet the agreed date. That's why we didn't notify you."

That message speaks for itself.

I had specifically chosen a particular door trim. Instead of informing me that it could not be obtained and allowing me to make the decision, different doors were fitted without my approval. More seriously, despite my clear instructions that all existing bathroom wall tiles were to be removed before retiling, they decided to tile over two existing layers because it would "save work and time". I now have three layers of tiles on my bathroom walls and have had to arrange an independent survey to determine whether the installation is safe.

I was also told that the renovation had been completed. Relying on that information, I spent more than £400 travelling from the UK to Spain, only to discover that the property was nowhere near finished.

When I inspected the work, I found numerous defects. The shower had not been sealed correctly, allowing water to leak into the bathroom, and they had to return twice before it was finally repaired. The shower fixture had not been securely fixed to the wall and could simply be pulled away by hand. The sink cabinet had not even been fixed to the wall properly and could be moved by hand. These are basic installation issues that should never have existed.

These defects were only corrected because I refused to make the final payment until they were addressed. During this time I was threatened with legal action if I did not pay.

Before making the final payment, a formal meeting took place with an independent solicitor and the co-owner of the property. During that meeting I was assured that any remaining defects and any further issues identified after completion would be rectified. Relying on those assurances, I made the final payment in good faith.

Unfortunately, once payment had been made, further defects became apparent.

The electrical installation became one of my biggest concerns. I had to employ an independent qualified electrician at my own expense after electrical faults occurred. The electrician identified incorrectly wired electrical work that required immediate rectification. I repeatedly requested evidence that the person who carried out the electrical work was properly qualified and authorised, but those requests were ignored.

The air-conditioning installation also had to be rectified by the original air-conditioning company because of the standard in which it had been been left.

After these further issues came to light, communication stopped completely and I was blocked. The promises made before payment were no longer honoured, leaving me to arrange and pay for remedial work myself.

Throughout the project I repeatedly requested details of the materials installed, including the flooring, wall tiles, internal doors and sanitaryware. Despite numerous requests, this information was never provided.

I also requested the company's official Hoja de Reclamaciones (consumer complaint form), but it was not provided.

What I found particularly upsetting was that, while I was dealing with unresolved defects and paying other professionals to rectify the work, the company was using videos of my property on its social media pages to advertise its workmanship and promote the quality of its services.

Everything stated in this review is based on my personal experience and is supported by written communications, photographs, invoices and other documentation that I have retained.

My advice to anyone considering this company is simple: make sure every variation is agreed in writing, never assume the agreed specification will be followed without checking, verify who is carrying out specialist work, obtain all certificates and product information before making final payment, and do not release the final payment until every aspect of the work has been independently inspected and accepted.

I sincerely hope that no other homeowner has to go through the experience that I have.
