Legalized scam

The service was incredibly slow and disorganized. The staff was unable to provide clear information: I was told the commission would only be revealed after starting the process, with no option to back out.
I was entitled to a refund of €28.50, but:
They only offered the refund in pounds or dollars, at a ridiculously poor exchange rate.
They boast about being “no fee”, but when it comes to giving you cash, this clearly does not apply.
I received $26, which is significantly less than I should have gotten.
I asked about TND, but they offered 60 TND, again with an unfair rate.
I was told they do not give refunds in euros “because it’s for international currencies”, even though the euro is itself an international currency.
I tried to insist, but it was useless. The staff even suggested using the app: I tried, but this required a customs-stamped document, which I hadn’t received because I had been instructed to collect cash.
Overall, I lost around €6–7 due to poor exchange rates and fees.
In short: awful experience, opaque service, unfair exchange rates – practically a legalized scam.

Horribe

Horribe , Horrible! Unfortunately, a legal way to take advantage of an international inexperience passenger and exchange with a horrible rate. Sure, sure some will say it’s my fault. But there’s greed and then there’s profit.
Anyway, they made about $400 from my exchange from euros to dollars at Madrid. Best rate that I’ve seen today in US is credit union. So, save your euros and change them in US for dollars.

Exchange rate hidden commission

Check and double check your exchange rates, especially when claiming tax back at Madrid airport with them. The rate they gave vs what they publish was almost 10% off. Unfortunately it was too late before I noticed as I had to catch a flight. It’s essentially their hidden commission charge.
