Clearly a scam company with fraudulent business practices.

I received an email from someone using the name "Aubree" with a Gmail address, but in the email signature/content, they introduced themselves as "Reem".

This Aubree/Reem person wrote: "I Just wondering if you need a virtual assistant to help you with your business. I can assist you with different task such: -Lead generation -Appointment setting - I can do cold calling - I can do admin task - Email & Phone Answering - Customer Service - LinkedIn Prospecting -social media - research -Admin works – Bookkeeping - I would love to help you in scaling your business to the next level. Do you have time for a call this week?"

Since no company was mentioned and it came from a personal Gmail account, I naturally assumed this individual was offering their own freelance virtual assistant services. I replied asking for their resume and references.

Instead, I received a response from a completely different person named "Ravneet" using a Glocalassist.com email address, claiming she is from Glocal Assist. When I asked what happened to the original contact (Aubree/Reem), Ravneet explained that Aubree was simply one of their “email marketers.”

This immediately proved that everything the Aubree/Reem person claimed in the initial email was false: they presented themselves as the actual virtual assistant who would personally perform all those tasks, when in reality, they were just a marketer sending bait emails.

I asked Ravneet why their marketer would falsely claim to be the VA and make all those specific service promises if they had no intention of providing the work themselves, and why my contact information was handed off to someone else without my knowledge or consent.

I never received any further reply from Ravneet once I pointed out these deceptive practices, which confirmed this is a scam/fraudulent operation.

Clearly, this is the trend nowadays as these companies are afraid of using their real information in their initial scam bait email blasts to the world.

So far it’s good

So far it’s good, interview process was very detailed, first admin was not the best but then they immediately switched them to someone who’s more knowledgeable with more experience, now working with them for more than a month it’s going well as I hired them part time. As for price it’s a little on the expensive side as you’re paying for the middle man.

My email was spammed by this company…

My email was spammed by this company without me ever opting or requesting information. I was eventually transferred to an "abigail" who spammed me a bunch of useless services I never wanted. They even used a dummy domain glocalassist.com to try and protect their main domain, not this time.

Business practices like this are unethical and says a lot about how a company might conduct themselves for their services, so if you're considering Glocal Assit, I would suggest you consider other alternatives that don't use such shady tactics.
