Another unscrupulous online company…
Another unscrupulous online company screwing the American Public. They ran a hard inquiry and presented as though I just needed to make a final call to go over paperwork. Called the same day I got that email and it went straight to India. I could not understand anything being said because of the thick accent. Was transferred to another person I couldn’t understand and acted like he had no idea why I was even calling, then transferred to a woman who seemed very out out, didn’t have any information other than I hadn’t been assigned to anyone and that she would do that for me. Three days later and I have no returned call, no email and a new hard inquiry on my account. People are sick of this. The canned responses from Caribou say it all. They don’t give a damn and as long as Trustpilot and BBB make money from these businesses they will continue giving them an A rating regardless of any disturbing pattern being described in detail in the comments. Customer service is dead and the name of the game is now how dishonest and greedy can we be without being held accountable.

Easy process
I got a few different emails and text messages that were repetitive and some of my information had to be sent more than once. Over all I found the directions easy to follow. Caribou provided a notary for me to video call for the necessary documentation. It was very quick process once you got started. From the first phone call to having my original loan paid off was about a week. If not less. They were able to get me approved through a credit union that I had to join, but that process was also easy as most of the information was pre-provided by the Caribou team. I just had to sign on the dotted line so to speak. I was initially hesitant but decided to give it a go based on others testaments I was reading online. My new payment is literally half of my old one so I'm really glad I gave it a chance

Ineffective communication
No one answers me by email. I need printer documentations mailed to me I don't have a printer. I have a hard time with signing into the app ans they claimed someone would call me. I never got a call from 2 days ago

Disorganized and confusing experience!
So a Caribou agent calls me and we go over some details and I get approved for the refinance. The term and interest rate are different than what I applied for. Interest rate was over 1 % higher than what I applied for and they had done the hard inquiry already! I got it talked down closer to what I was supposed to be approved for after getting lowballed. Then every day or every other day they want me to upload a photo of my driver's license, then insurance card, then registration, then insurance declaration. Why not have me do all this at once and not drag it out for 2 weeks??? Constant calls and emails for me to fill out this document, e-sign that document...send it to this email or upload it to this portal! 5 different agents calling, texting, and emailing! Such a disorganized and confusing experience, I would never deal with Caribou again nor recommend at all. Stick to your local institutions and save yourself the migraines!

I had several offers which I thought meant I was approved. I waited a week and got no contact. I had to call to find out they had turned down my refinance. I was disappointed with customer service. The application process was very easy and user friendly also.

My experience was good. When calling back with question I did have a difficult time getting someone on the phone and just had to wait for someone to call me back. When they did call back it just seemed like each matter was urgent. Like I had to make the decision quickly. But overall, not as bad as I expected.

I submitted application they did a soft credit pull on a refinance on a vehicle gave my the new rate and terms only to be denied and stuck with a hard inquiry. To me this feels like misrepresentation.
