I bought the Henry vacuum cleaner in…

I bought the Henry vacuum cleaner in April from the Rockingham store & love it. Staff where brilliant.
Today 11 July I went into the Rockingham store for help to separate the stainless steel wands as I couldn't pull them apart. (I have never had this happen on a previous Henry purchase).
The manager in the rockingham store managed to separate the wands but her attitude towards me was not at all nice. She came across with very little communication & engagement & like I was wasting her time. didn't smile & looked quite miserable.
The other staff member was very engaging, smiling & lovely.
I'm so not happy when customer service treats you in a demeaning manner & it's a shame as it brings down the company image.

Godfreys most valuable asset, Campbelltown, NSW ,Staff

Had a bad experience with Godfreys Campbelltown store. My Ecovacs robotic cleaner broke down. I took it to the store,they checked it , said it was the battery problem, replaced the battery and gave it back to me after 3 weeks. After doing one round of cleaning, I had the same problem as before. Again took it to the store and even after waiting for 2 weeks , there is nothing happening about my machine. They even don't know where my machine. Very rude staff

Cheap bags

I went to the Nunawading Store once in 2012 with Ashley to buy some vacuum cleaner bags for the vacuum cleaner and the staff were very helpful to us and the service was amazing.

Lip Service Only

I had bought a Hoover vacuum cleaner a few years ago, but recently it was stopping after only a few seconds, so I took it back to Godfreys. Apparently I needed a new battery, but "unfortunately" they didn't have one in the store, so I had to go home and wait for them to contact me. After 3x weeks and reminder calls to them, they finally had a battery, so I went in to collect it. After another week of trying the machine at home, I discovered it was still stopping, so took it back again. Was told not to push the 'turbo' button, but keep it on normal...which I am now doing, but don't understand why, when I paid for a fully-functioning machine! I will never go back to Godfreys again as they keep talking & talking but I
only get LIP service! # This review refers to the Vacuum Co. in New Zealand and has no bearing on the Garden company in the UK.

DO NOT BUY FROM GODFRYS -

Absolutely disgusting service with Godfreys. Will never buy anything from them again.
I took my Hoover vacuum ONE PWR Blade + back to them as it had stopped charging. It is under a 3 year warranty. It is not even a year old. Was told in store that they have to send it back to Hoover. And it would take about 2 weeks. I chased them today and firstly they could not find it. Then it turns out that it has not even been collected yet. Apparently, Hoover sent the label for the item to be collected but a courier did not turn up. Godfreys just left it sitting in their store room until I called them today. TWO WEEKS later. If I had not chased it up it would probably still be sitting there. I called customer services and spoke to a Damian. Who basically said there was NOTHING they could do. This product was bought through Godfreys. The warranty should entitle you to have a replacment. They should at the very least be able to provide loan vacuums. I have a Dog. So you can imagine the state of my carpets.

Multiple service failures

I'm a cleaning contractor and I needed to get my backup vacuum cleaner serviced. I asked at the store whether I could get a broken strap repaired. The notes that I saw when I got the machine back asked that the strap be replaced, rather than repaired.
They had the machine for several weeks and I finally rang the store to ask when I could get it back, since not having a backup machine is risky.
I was told that the machine was in the store, but no one had rung me to tell me that. I wonder how long it would have sat there if I had not rung.
The machine had not been serviced. I was told that the repair people had tried to contact me about the strap issue but could not do so. Say what? They had my mobile number and could have sent an sms or they could have left a voicemail. They did neither.
So, as far as I understand it, they tried to ring me, got no answer and gave up and sent the machine back to the store having failed to do the service that was requested in writing.
It gets worse. I had paid a deposit of $19.95. I rang the store to ask for my deposit back and whether they could offer me a discount on a service as compensation for stuffing me around so badly. The answer was that they couldn't refund the deposit and I was offered a pack of vacuum bags.
I shall be pursuing the money through the relevant government consumer protection agency.
Epic fail of customer service does not even begin to describe this experience. I only gave one star because zero stars was not an option.

Godfreys got back to me and offerred me NOTHING by way of compensation and to add insult to injury they refused to refund the $20 I had paid for a quote I never asked for!
Terrible and rude customer service. Never again

Poor servicing

No documentation or reference of any kind to show my vacuum was 'serviced'. Also, it has come back in worse condition to when I took it in last week with scratches and marks that were not there when I took it in. Definitely feel let down and certainly won't be recommending Godfreys to anyone. Purchased Westgate.

Maintenance Program

Happy with the product but entered into a 5 year maintenance program, at the time of sale, which is very poorly run. I would never recommend Godfreys or buy from there again. My machine has been in the store waiting to be serviced for 10 days and still waiting.
After missing out on the service last week I have just found out the technician will not be in the store at all this week! It seems Godfreys are happy to sign people up, and take their money, for these schemes but then do not have sufficient resources to provide the promised service. Easy to see why the update promised by email has not arrived.

Had the worst experience at godfreys casula given back someone else's damaged vacume

Had the worst experience at godfreys casula.
Took my hand vacume to have its first service.
When i took it in it was in great condition.
When godfreys finally called me saying it was ready i picked it up to see that the vacume was not mine the only part was the hand piece with my serial number the rest of the vacume was damaged and looked a lot older.
I told godfreys it wasn't mine,they said yes it is it has your serial number. I left it with them and told them to sort it out.
At one stage they were going to replace parts that won't mine then last minute said no its your vacume we not changing anything Didn't want to work with me at all.
Very poor service I'm very disgusted with how i was treated and how the outcome was.
This has been going for around 6 weeks caused so much distress and grief.
I will never deal with casula store again.
Had picked it up and taken it to the Narellan store where they were extremely understanding and very helpful they have also assisted with the damaged parts to now having a good vacume again.
Well done to Courtney and Chris at the Narellan store.
Will only go there from now on.If it wasn't for the Narellan Godfreys store i wouldn't deal with godfreys again.

Hi,
I purchased from Godfrey’s Campbelltown NSW store on the 10th December 2022 an i-Vac Ultra Light Plus Model S10 cordless stick vacuum cleaner. It worked fine and the head glided easily for the first few weeks. I took it back to the same Campbelltown store in January 2023 as the head was now hard to push and it was marking my hybrid timber floors as can be seen by the attached pics which I showed him. The salesperson tested it and he also found it was hard to push. The best he could do at the time was either send it out to have it repaired or give me another head which was the demo model lying on the wall. I decided to take the demo model head as that appeared to glide easily similar to the original head at time of purchase. Today 14th Feb 2023, I took it back to the same store as the 2nd demo head was doing the same thing. Hard to push and marking my floor. I was served by the same salesperson and requested a FULL refund as it was only 3 months old and still under warranty. He tested it again, found it was hard to push but would not give me a refund. He stated it had to be sent out for repair. I was obviously upset and requested to speak to their Head Office whilst I was still at the store to get a common sense response. I spoke to a young sounding girl at Head Office who appeared to be reading from a pre-arranged script. It had to be sent out for repair first before any refund could be issued. Really! Even though the salesperson at the store tested it and found the 2nd head also stiff to push. I stated to her that I would refer this matter to the Dept. of Fair Trading unless I got my refund and her response was that I was entitled to do so. Given that I had no choice, I left the vacuum at the store to be sent out for repair!! No understanding for a $249 refund whereby the model is now selling for $199. Of course I will refer this matter to DOFT if I do not get my full refund. Never again will I buy any product from Godfrey’s as I have to go through this whole process on a vacuum cleaner that is only 3 months old, still under warranty and the same salesperson testing and confirming the head at both times were hard to push. I will update this review when I get an answer from Godfrey’s.
Just to keep you updated. I have now received an email from Godfrey's Campbelltown, NSW store offering me repair, replacement of the same unit or store credit. They are still unwilling to give me a FULL REFUND as having gone back twice, they gave me 2 separate heads of the above mentioned vacuum cleaner which still marked my floors. I gave them pictures to prove it. As not only is it still under warranty only 3 months old, but after contacting and explaining my issue to the Department of Fair Trading, I was told by them that under the Consumer Law Act, if "“THIS PRODUCT IS NOT OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY OR FIT FOR THE PURPOSE DESCRIBED” then I should get a full refund regardless. I signed a letter and emailed the store with this information. I will now get the DOFT to intervene, who confirmed they would, as they are still refusing to give a refund. It obviously seems that either Godfrey's as a company or this store is very hard up for cash if they are making me to do this.
Will keep you posted.
Godfrey's Head Office saw this post and escalated it to their Management who still refused to give me a Full Refund. It is NO SURPRISE that Godfrey's Head Office is still on the side of their Campbelltown Franchise Store and is still unwilling to give me a full refund. At the end of the day, the Franchise Store pays them fees and why would "they bite the hand that feeds them". How many times do they want me to use a different head? Having used 2 different ones already which I proved was hard to push and marking my floors. Still only 3 months old and under warranty, is this company so hard up for cash that they cannot give a refund? It would appear if you buy any product from Godfrey's, they REFUSE to give you a refund regardless!
I also tried to put this review on Google but it seems Godfrey's pays them not to put up any NEGATIVE reviews on it's website. Thank you PRODUCT REVIEW and TRUST PILOT for being a honest website.
This matter is far from over as I am now seeking legal advice. Will keep you posted.

Awesome intergrity

Wow, I recently had the very best experience in a Godfreys store in New Zealand, at The Base, Hamilton. The person who helped me, Arpit, was not only friendly, helpful and knowledgable about a problem we had with our vacuum cleaner, but he displayed huge honesty and integrity by not using the opportunity to immediately send it to a service (or sell me more than I needed) instead doing some excellent trouble shooting in-store, finding two problems and fixing it with a part there and some good ingenuity, meaning it saved us both time (without a vacuum cleaner) and money. He also recommended a great option for us going forward. I was so impressed by his way and attitude that I would highly recommend Godfreys anhappily go back there for our next product. Well done guys!

Horrible experience with Godreys Silvia Park Auckland during vacuum cleaner servicing:

Being a very loyal customre for 10 long years using Sauber brand ,I had a very unpleasant experience with Godreys Silvia Park while getting my vacuum cleaner serviced. Firstly, it took them a long time to respond to my request and get back to me. When I finally dropped off my machine, they were unable to give me any timeline on when it would be ready.

After several days, I called them to follow up and was told that my vacuum cleaner had been misplaced. This was extremely frustrating and concerning as it was a valuable item that I needed for my home. When I went to pick it up, they handed me someone else's machine, and it was not until later that they called accusing me of stealing the vacuum cleaner from the store.

The entire experience was highly unprofessional and showed a complete lack of concern for customer service. I would not recommend Godreys Silvia Park to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient service provider for their vacuum cleaners.

Thank you to Jo, Ebony, Nathan & Sam at Godfreys Townsville.

I purchased new filters for my Electrolux vacuum cleaner as I was sure the blocked old ones were causing the cleaner to overheat. The new filters did not seem to help, so when I returned to the shop (with the offending cleaner this time), the staff checked the unit and found a blockage which they quickly and efficiently cleared. I'm grateful for the quick fix as I thought it would be an expensive repair job.

Amazing Service

Hoover regal

2weeks ago we purchased a Hoover Regal and I must say after having a Sauber I’ve found my perfect machine when I thought that wouldn’t be possible, my rugs and floors have never been cleaner, I do have one negative though and that is that for some reason my power head doesn’t like going onto the high setting I need to do one of my rugs

I bought a Hoover vacuum less than a year ago , the last couple of months it’s throws electrical sparks .. and smells like it’s going to blow up
I rang bankstown store and told them this was happening and ad it’s still under warranty I asked if I could bring it back and replace it with another machine and pay the difference if it cost more and store manager said yes ! So I took it to the store mind u I’m on 3rd apartment carrying it
I got to store and the store manager said .choose new machine so I did
When I went to pay the diff he said no you have to pay the full ammount and the old one has to get repaired .. well no I don’t want a faulty machine back that was damaged.. so I left the store
With old machine .. and very very angry and upset ..
no point buying products from Godfrey’s your better off buying at Kmart and bigw as they refund for faulty goods
