Great Tech Support from GOG

Falran from GOG Support gave me some good suggestions on how to get an old game working on my modern PC. When those suggestions did not work, he came up with some other suggestions and I was able to get the game working. Very responsive and helpful.

They never reply to any emails. If you have problems selling, or with a purchase, or can’t login - you lost all your money.

For clarification, did you submit a ticket through our web form, or did you send an email (and if it's the latter - what email address did you write to?)?
If you received a ticket creation confirmation email, please share its Ticket ID, so we could look into this in more detail.
Alternatively, please try reaching out to us with a different email account, if you have one.
For context, in such cases a common cause seems to be that our replies don't arrive in the sender's inbox, or are perhaps placed in the Spam folder. At least that's how it looks from our perspective - we get repeated requests from an individual, we reply to them, but only get sent other new requests from the same person, as if we never replied. We'd need to locate your tickets to see if this one of those cases.
I hope we can work out the underlying issue together, and help you out where we previously couldn't.

I had an issue with launching all of my…

I had an issue with launching all of my games from gog so I asked for some help. I got a very quick reply from a kind person called Falran who helped get things sorted. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't be able to play any of my games! I 100% recommend gog as a website, and the support team is excellent.

I'm pleasantly surprised by their great quality and speed in answering my questions, especially Specialist Falran. I rarely use technical support, but it really brightened my day to know that if I buy a 1990 game and it doesn’t work, I’m sure they will handle my request in the most professional way possible.

Liars.

Their promised "friendly and knowledgeable" support is a lie. I had previously used Steam, but lost access to it as well as all the games (long story). So I bought one of them on GOG. Only it didn't work. So I wrote to tech support and hopefully gave them the details. See, I had bought their nonsense about how they actually cared.

He said, "Sorry that title won't work on your system "G." It only works up to system "E."
I said, "Uh I told you I had system "E."
He said, "We cannot help." and closed the ticket.
Friendly. No. Knowledgeable? Absolutely not.

I mean, he clearly didn't even read the complaint, much less try to help. Not even a stupid "try restarting your computer."

What makes me the most angry is that I was foolish enough to believe their shtick about how they were different and they actually cared.

They don't.

My go to place for PC Gaming. No DRM!

I have been buying games from GOG, (Good Old Games), since 2013. Any snags I encountered were handled perfectly and quickly. The Games have No DRM, (digital rights management, ie copy protection). I have purchased over 2,000 games from them over the years. My favorite Gaming Site period!

Thy provide a pretty unique service…

Thy provide a pretty unique service games that you actually fully own. I bought about 75 in several years from them. Also, the technical support is great and prompt. Recently, a support specialist Frlan helped me fix a problem with Fallout 2 that I had.

Long time customer, great service

I've been with GOG now for several years. This was the first time I've ever needed technical support on a game. To be fair its a very old game and I'm actually surprised it is even able to run on my current PC. Anyway technical support, a technician named Falran, was terrific. He was able to diagnose and solve my issue in just a couple of short e-mails. No fuss at all, just quick and professional.

Exceptional and human-centric support from GOG.com!

I recently had a complicated issue with an old account of mine. I had lost access to the original email address associated with my games, which usually makes recovery a nightmare. I was worried I might lose my library forever.

However, the support I received from GOG—and specifically from Antoni/Karina/Falka—was outstanding. It wasn't just a "swift service" in terms of speed, but the quality of care was on another level. Even an AI assistant (Gemini) pointed out to me that GOG is known for having the friendliest support in the industry, and my experience proved that 100%.

They don't treat you like just another ticket number; they actually listen and look into the human side of the problem. Antoni and Falka guided me through the verification process and successfully updated my account to my current email, saving years of gaming history.

If you value a company that treats its customers like real people, GOG is the place to be. Five stars well deserved!

Excellent Support for an Unusual Issue

Having exhausted every other option, I submitted a support ticket to help me with unlocking achievements that I should have already unlocked. A tech support member by the name of Orcan rectified my achievement problem. Orcan remedied the issue expeditiously. A+++ customer support, I could not have asked for better!

Shady "refund" practice

Thought i'd support a company that claims to support old games, so bought from gog at a higher cost than i could have bought the same game elsewhere - even though i'm short on cash.
Turns out this was a mistake.
The game didn't work, i tried a few things but it got worse if anything.
Uninstalled - asked for a refund. Got an email saying it was confirmed.
Noticed i had a notification saying the money was still coming out. Odd, no sign of a refund. Checked the account it seem to have been given store credit? oh no. I'd read people saying this was a problem so i'd been on the look out for this but never saw or was given a single option, because obviously I never would have knowingly agreed to this - if it was written anywhere it was deeply hidden.
I emailed and was just told that i had agreed (lie) and that it could not be reversed (another lie).
So currently i have no game and no money.

Way to really put off a customer.
I've never had a problem with them in the past.

cannot reply to them though, you have to dig through the website again, which is not well laid out or user friendly.

however the added message that they were making an EXCEPTION and continuing to blame me, was really unnecessary. including an image of the selection option i was not shown - great - thanks?
- is it perhaps hidden by the dropdown menu above?
- it also really should not be selected by default
- if its such a problem you are frustrated and have an image at the ready, perhaps stop blaming the user and fix the system.
It should not have taken two complaints to get this sorted.
I guess the irreversable was reversable after all. Glad it's over. Pointlessly unpleasant experience.

Assistance with Wolfenstein and Undying

Falran helped me get two games working perfectly, though my system is not a 'gamer's PC'. His assistance was prompt, efficient and knowledgeable. When I need assistance again, I would like to be referred to Falran. Five stars!

Over the last 17 years i had to use their customer service only two times, this is already a big green flag, they always helped to solve my problems quickly and guided me step by step.

got a game and the optional cuss pack…

got a game and the optional cuss pack has no instructions on how to install and the forums are useless. Cannot contact GOG because the stupid form wants a picture of the problem.How can a picture be taken of the issue? If they would have included instructions in the first place then a lot of frustration could have been avoided. It makes too much sense to include install instructions. I am deleting my account and never buying any more games from them.

Great choice for PC games

I bought a couple of old PC games from GOG's website that I used to play probably 20-30 years ago now. I have had trouble before with old games not running on modern PCs, so I was wary of buying these games. However, thankfully the two games from GOG worked fine on my modern laptop. GOG have a goal of preserving old games, and they also offer DRM downloads, so they get a big thumbs up from me.
