John was a horrible customer service Provider and Rude and obnoxious

John was a horrible customer service representative at the Cumberland Mall in Smytna Ga . When I walked in and presented my question, he answered me with extremely low tolerance and No! Then, later, I saw him humiliate three young black
Kids, I told him he was too loud. He was way too aggressive with the kids; then he told me aggressively that they were using $400 putters and scratching them. Then I told him there is a way to communicate with children. That was not the way…
It made me SICK! After reporting the incident to the GM, I'm not sure there may be much done… The other sales associates were fine. Robert was understanding and patient with me…I went to a lurch club for my daughter there. To show fairness that I wasn't shown. I may have been dumb, but I wanted to reveal a lesson for my daughter and them. Robert, again, was good, and that helped me make the purchase

Left handed clubs

Even though Golf Galaxy is owned by Dick's, I assumed that a golf "superstore" would have left handed clubs. I just left the Newark, DE store and saw 4 left handed drivers and one set of used irons. Frankly, I'm tired of being told that they can order whatever I want. I can do that myself. Maybe if you stocked left handed clubs you would sell more.

I got a e-gift card for my son birthday and got charged twice

I got a e-gift card for my sons birthday for 3 lessons. I got the card on 12-26-24, The card was supposed to go to his email on his birthday 2-4-24. He didn't get it. I contacted customer service, they sent another e-gift card which he got. I also got charged for the second e-card. I contacted customer service again and they said the charge would not go through. Today the charge went through. So I spent a lot of money for 3 lessons. I will try to contact them again. I wish I would have chosen a different place to get him lessons

This is the 3rd time I have had this problem, I will not be back, what happened to this place, it used to be a great place

The staff at GG are great but the…

The staff at GG are great but the company is trash to deal with. I placed an order for some new clubs, something I have never done before and going through GG couldn’t have been a worse experience.

I ordered the clubs online because I wanted to make sure my specifications were imputed correctly. I paid for the order with my debit card (because this matters) and all was good. My card would be charged upon shipment per GG’s policies but this is where things went drastically wrong. My order was placed on Feb 5th, order shipped around the 14th/15th from titleist. I received the he updates of shipments from UPS stating they have been shipped and on the way. I checked my bank account and the money left, everyone was paid and happy, or so I thought.

My clubs arrived on the 22nd and I couldn’t have been more thrilled, splurging on something I’ve never done in the 23 years I’ve played golf. Fast forward to March 5th, I woke up to an email alert stating that my checking account was over drafted. GG decided to charge my account a month later after the original purchase was made! After speaking with a customer service manager and explaining my position she agreed that GG was in the wrong and I should be refunded the amount I lost due to errors made on the company’s behalf. Fast forward 2 months later my money was never refunded, I’ve called several times and no one returns my phone calls or request of a follow up.

For a company that makes millions and millions of dollars I was told that because I used a debit card, this was the total reason why everything went wrong. In the world of 2023 where we can pay with a fake currency or send electronic transfers without delay, using my choice of payment is the reason why they could charge me at some random time and not when the clubs shipped as per their own policy!

This is how they will treat you, the consumer looking to splurge on a purchase that maybe a once in a lifetime thing. I find it extremely disconcerting that a billion dollar company will have an issue with any form of payment that they accept, but when I payed for (custom) wedges a month earlier, there were no issues. GG made an error and refuses to own up to it and will screw over a customer that has been very loyal to them. I will never recommend shopping with GG or Dick’s Sporting Goods as they do not care about the consumer. If you do shop with them, be forewarned that this could happen to you and no one from their office will care about the predicament they put you in.

Waste of time (Chandler AZ)

What a disappointment...!! At first, I was excited because I was looking forward buying a new driver. Only to find out I cannot use their simulator (new policy). I was told in order test any products you need to rent an area. I simply put it away and went to PGA Superstore, where I test and bought my Stealth driver :)

To management, do you really believe those that want to purchase a club is going to rent an area first, and then buy. C'mon guys! You're smarter than that.....

Trackman scam

I went to Golf Galaxy to find a new driver. An employee helped me hit several demos on the Trackman and told me the XXIO driver was by far the best driver for me. I was hitting everything in the fairway and 50 yards longer than my current driver (which I also hit on the Trackman). I paid $700 for it. I took it to the course and it was a disaster. The ball never went over 150 yards and was going all over the place. Completely different from the Trackman at the store. I took it back to the store without a single mark on it anywhere and they would only give me $223 in store credit for the $700 driver in new condition.

Customer service hit and miss, shipping via FedEx seems broken

I've had sort of a mixed experience with Golf Galaxy, both in person and online. So, it was interesting to come to Trustpilot and see that some others have experienced very similar issues having to do with customer service and shipping, specifically. Here's my tale:

IN PERSON: Went to the closest GG, which is about 2 hours away, because I wanted to hit with the two sets of clubs I was considering. They had the Taylormade set, but not the Cobra. That's OK... nobody has the Cobra in stock. They were crowded, and customers seemed to be using the bays as free Top Golf, just hitting ball after ball with no staff monitoring them. Not the company's fault, I guess, but when I stopped an employee wandering around and asked how to sign up for a bay, and about testing clubs, he seemed kind of confused and disinterested and said to just pick one and hang out waiting my turn. I was ready to leave after that encounter, but my wife insisted since we had driven all that way that I stay and hit the Taylormade set, so she went over and grabbed a young guy who got us into a bay and actually spent quite a lot of time having me hit some clubs and giving me advice on flex, loft, etc. He even measured the loft of the sand wedge to tell me how many degrees it was. I thanked him, but we left without purchasing because we couldn't use our discount in store, only online.

ONLINE: I ordered the Cobra set after all and used our discount. It shipped the next day and arrived at my local FedEx (which is also two hours away) one day later, and here's where FedEx steps in to screw it up. AS USUAL, it took this FedEx another 8 days to deliver my clubs (they do this even if one pays extra for next day delivery). OK, not GG's fault, but I wanted to start my complaints with them to make sure they knew that FedEx wasn't doing them any favors. I was able to immediately chat with a human online, and though she was a bit stiff and scripted (who isn't these days?) she ultimately offered me a $100 discount on the clubs even though the delay was FedEx's fault. So, I would rate that customer service pretty high.

I then ordered a batch of on-sale golf balls a week later, and once again FedEx got hold of them and IS STILL sitting on the delivery 7 days after they arrived at the FedEx warehouse. Once again, I notified GG via chat, recommended they start using UPS instead of FedEx, and got $10 refunded even though FedEx is the culprit.

So... I'm torn. Whether or not you get treated well in the store (and I've been back once again and got the same mixed reception) seems to depend on who you talk to. Ordering online, at least from my location, is guaranteed to take 10+ days to arrive, but GG is good about taking responsibility and cutting me a deal to ease my frustration.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Ordered a limited-edition Scotty Cameron putter and got a confirmation that the order was placed. After about 6 hrs I received another email saying the order has been canceled. When I called, they had no reason behind it other than it was a glitch on their end and said tough luck it's out of stock now. I could have gotten this on another site, but it sold out within minutes. Lost out on a great putter and all they could do was give me 300pts =$10 gift card. No customer loyalty or care.

Ordered New recieved Used.

I ordered a new Callaway 3 wood. They sent me used one. When I complained they gave me a link to a Dick's Sporting Goods used club site. That's not where I ordered it. There is no mention of used clubs on the Galaxy site, yet the agent told me I ordered used. Not a reputable company in my opinion.

Ordered a $50 e-gift card for Father’s Day. Received the email and nice little animation, but the actual gift card would not load due to a server error on their end. After talking to 6 different customer service reps (none of which could get my paid gift card to me) I’ve left it w a 1-2 day “resolution” which better be a refund. I have no use for a gift card 1-2 days After our celebration. SIX customer service reps!!! Terrible terrible. Guess my dad is getting cash and I will NEVER buy him another gift card from Golf Galaxy.

There’s a reason why this company has a 2 star… or lower… rating!

There’s a reason why this company has a 2 star… or lower… rating!!! I went to the Dallas, TX. store to buy a set of clubs each for my son and my son-in-law. I walked in with $4,000.00 cash in my pocket and I did not even buy one golf ball. I called a week in advance and tried to explain to 3 “experts” what I was looking to do and every time I hung up with one of them I felt I had gotten nowhere. Their names were Aaron, Steve, and Jeff. On the day of our arrival… the first person I asked for help turned me over to someone else, who was doin a full fitting with another costumer. While We were waiting on him, an angel named Mathew asked me if I was needing help and after explaining what I was there for, he quickly set us up and started getting to process going. Well about 15 minutes in, a .;:=/-)( named Daniel came up just about as rude as a person could be, telling us that we could not take floor guys away from the floor to help us in that manner and so forth. Mathew had a talk with him to inform him that helping us was warranted and beneficial to the store and basically “CHILL”. Well he didn’t. He harassed the guy til he DID stop helping us and we got outa there. So good job Golf Galaxy… you just handed Dallas Golf a pretty hefty purchase.

Flat out false advertising

Flat out false advertising. I ordered over $1k of golf balls based on their 'Free 2-day delivery.' That would mean I would get the balls Tuesday. Delivery is now Friday. Big problem as recipient of balls left today (Thursday) and now I must ship to him at my cost. This is beyond bad and is fraud. If you advertise 2-day delivery as an incentive to sell, delivery cannot be 5 days.
