GO Outdoors - Chester (Express) Reviews 

Great service by Steve today. I had a return and he dealt with it so efficiently, searching for my receipt as I no longer had it. He went upstairs to get two alternatives to replace the product and sorted out my new receipt. He was pleasant, even greeted me when I walked into the store, couldn’t have asked for better service!

I went into Go Outdoors looking for a specific product (socks), and I met Steve in your Chester store. He knew everything about the socks I had purchased; he was wearing them himself. He took time to speak with me and answer all of my questions.

Steve Haydon was very helpful and didnt rush me into making a decision about buying walking shoes as i wasnt sure which ones were best for me. In fact all the staff i came across were all friendly and welcoming.

Still not had the head torch or the money refunded. It was a click and collect from Foregate st chester

Steve helped me choose a new pair of walking boots. He was friendly, polite and helpful and took time to listen to what I wanted.

All the staff were friendly in this store and Steve was very knowledgeable in helping us choose a new cool box. We were able to leave it at the store to collect at the end of the day which was very helpful.
We've had chance to use the cool box now and it worked very efficiently.

Excellent customer experience. From when I entered the shop to when I purchased a coat and left. I received a warm welcome from Paige & Tracy and invaluable assistance. I was after advice on buying a waterproof coat for mainly walking. I was introduced to Haydn. I never knew anything about buying a coat and the waterproof levels. He is mind of valuable information. I tried a number of coats and he advised me on each one accordingly.
I certainly will be returning to buy more walking apparel.

Steve was polite and knowledgeable about the Merrill shoes that I was interested in. He helped choose the correct fit and made sure everything was fine. He explained about the Members club and helped save £25 on my purchase.

Good price and great service

On 2nd September I went into my Chester Foregate st branch to purchase a new pair of walking shoes.
I was advised/served by a guy called Steve.
Not only was he pleasant and respectful (I am probably classed as a mature customer) but he was extremely knowledgeable on what type of shoe I needed to suit my needs. He also knew everything regarding their construction, this was very useful to help me understand today’s modern methods (my old Gelert boots from many years back were very different).
I left feeling very reassured about my purchase.
He is a true asset to your company.

The service at this store is excellent. I returned hiking boots that I had had for a while, albeit worn very little, and which had developed a problem/defect. Steve and Tracey were very helpful. Steve brought out a replacement pair and Tracey processed the paperwork for the return. They were so professional - and nice with it! I’ve shopped at this store for a number of years, and will keep going back when I need more outdoor gear. Thank you.

Amazing service…talk about going out of your way to help!

Spoke to Steve regarding availability of a tent that I’d been after for a few weeks now but they were out of stock everywhere…he took on the challenge and I’ve just walked out of the shop with it under my arm! Would’ve been so easy to have just said “not available” but he wasn’t going to have that!

The staff were all very knowledgeable and helpfulful, I didn't catch all their names, Steve on the tills was great as was the gentleman helping with my shoes :) there was a lovely lady there to helping a family

No pressure sales, extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff.

On arrival at the store I needed to locate a small item. I could see a chap (staff member Haydn) who appeared to be in the middle of an inventory, so I didn't want to interrupt him, but he dropped what he was doing and asked if he could help. I outlined what I needed and he climbed the stairs then, within a minute he was back with the exact item I needed. It is nice when staff just know where stuff is but it is even nicer when they put a customer first before returning to a no less important 'inventory'. Sorry if I messed up your count today Sir -(Haydn), but I felt compelled to register my gratitude to you for taking time out to help me despite how busy you were.
