Sean who works the counter at 5000…
Sean who works the counter at 5000 northeast pkwy facility is an outstanding young man! He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable professional and provided me with the best service I could ask for when I presented him with hard to find parts that I needed in a very tight time frame. ....Good job Sean Thank you
Don’t rely on Grainger
Let me start off with I live in Texas where we have had 3 weeks of over 100 degree heat. So when our condenser fan motor went out I looked around to find the one I could get the quickest. Grainger said we would have it by Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest so we bought the fan at 9:30AM on Sunday. Called them on Tuesday to find out the order had not been processed till 8:30pm and still had not been shipped yet and wouldn’t be shipped till Wednesday morning as we purchased it late on Sunday (2 days earlier) . So we have been sitting inside a house that’s 89 degrees as we spent the last of this weeks paychecks to buy the fan. Called and was apologized to by numerous people but no offer of anything other than an apology. When I stated that I would be taking the survey at the end of the call I was hung up on. Thinking I might have been disconnected I called back and got the same lovely lady that hung up on me and when I asked to take the survey she hung up on me again. Called the corporate number and was given the run around by some lady behind a desk with numerous excuses. It’s now 8:39pm on Tuesday night and I just got confirmation that the part has finally shipped. Disgusting company, sales department sucks, customer service sucks and as far as I can tell corporate personnel suck.
Why does a refund take 3 weeks
I purchased an electric motor from Grainger. It didn't come with a power cord. I mistakenly thought it did when I bought it.
I returned the motor in pristine condition. Basically I opened the box, saw no cord, returned it to the local Grainger store.
Customer service was great.
I was told the funds would be returned to the card I paid for the motor with.
No funds have been returned. I called the store up and asked about it. I was told it could take up to 3 weeks to get the refund, and how it all depends on the bank that issued my card.
Their assumption was that I made the purchase on a credit card. I used my PayPal debit card.
Upon initiation of a refund, PayPal makes the notation in online accounts, that a refund is pending.
I spoke with PayPal customer service. There is no pending refund.
As I am understanding it, then, Grainger is relying on everyone believing their 1972 way of doing refunds. Simply, they are not initiating refunds at the time of a return, within 24 hours, or even 48 hours. They are actually initiating refunds an unacceptable 2 to 3 WEEKS after a return, and are relying on outdated times to process a refund.
News, Grainger. We all know that a refund can be processed immediately, and those funds are electronically pulled from your accounts and are pending acceptance by the card issuer instantaneously.
You are unethically holding funds for your own benefit and lying about how "card issuers" are the problem.
I won't buy another thing from your company. Yes, the sales people are nice, yes, this is quality merchandise, yes, when you lie to customers you lose them.
So bye. BBB is next.
Shady
Shady! I purchased a product from their website. It didn't match what I received at all. The support person and the manager told me I should have contacted their technical support if I had a question. What? I need to contact tech support when I want to order from your website? They said Grainger doesn't go off the pictures on their website. I told them that their customers do when there is no description. They basically said tough. You need to pay to ship it back. Guess I'll go back to other online shippers that take some responsibility for what they are selling and how they are selling it.
Customer service above and beyond
I ordered some garage door springs from Grainger after doing some research (at numerous websites) as to which product I needed. The price was competitive and they arrived in a timely manner. The springs proved to not be a match for my application... which is totally on me. I contacted Grainger and the process of dealing with my mistake and receiving credit was quick and efficient, the customer service people were courteous and professional, and the tech support (which I should have tapped before I ordered) determined that Grainger did not have the product I needed, so they directed me to their supplier who offers a wider selection than Grainger carries. The entire Grainger experience was above and beyond my expectation. On a scale of 1-5, they earned 6.
I given up on Grainger
Every time I go to Granger their prices are higher than the rest
Grainger Still Hasn't Figured Out How To Run An Internet Store
Ordered N95 masks that Grainger said they had in stock from their website and the day after they were to be delivered I was sent a form email saying they were fact not in stock and asked me to reply to the email with my desired course of action. I replied to that email asking what the anticipated delivery date would be, etc. but never received a response. Received another form email from Grainger a couple weeks later exactly like the first and asked them to cancel my order. After cancelling my order and a couple months after the order was placed, I received the masks.
People have successfully ordered products online from store fronts like Amazon for something like 40 years now. Grainger apparently hasn't figured it out yet. Save yourself the headache and avoid Grainger.
Very happy with Grainger
Very happy with Grainger. I was shipped eyewash solution that was expired. A quick email and a replacement was shipped ASAP. No stupid questions, No Muss - No Fuss.
I found it very troubling that this…
I found it very troubling that this company is unable to properly accept payments. Very poor customer service dept. With incomplete and dare I say rude service agents. I would look elsewhere for a more professional provider before purchasing here. Haha even if you even could!!
I am very disappointed with my experience with Grainger and will never be purchasing their products
I used Grainger to help build my business credit and they're not reporting my purchases to the D&B nor can they tell me "as per their policy" which purchases have been reported and which haven't. I am very disappointed with my experience with Grainger and will never be purchasing their products. I will also be advising other business partners of mine to do the same. Carrie from customer support and Wanda the credit department are who I spoke to.
Outrageous Prices?…
Grainger has outrageous prices on some of their products. Some examples is they price a Bosch electric 4 gallon water heater for $397 and Home Depot has the exact water heater for $197. Why $200 more??? another example is a Motorola Radio battery is $123. and the exact battery on Amazon is 23.99, Why five times as much? They are ripping business off????
Never Received Refund for Returned Purchase
I purchased faulty face masks from Grainger. I returned them and felt satisfied as I left the store with a printed refund statement. But my credit card has yet to be credited. I spent over an hour on the phone today trying to find out where my money is. They told me it was my bank that was holding up the transaction. I told them my bank would have no reason to delay or refuse their credit unless it was for illegal or terrorist activity. I was eventually disconnected while waiting for the representative to send me documentation of the transaction. The statement I eventually received is an internal document and will be of no value to me in trying to trace the transaction with my bank. I am not sure where to go from here.
I had the opportunity to speak to … Was on the brink of giving up hope.
I had the opportunity to speak to J. R. Vincent a tech guy at Grainger to solve a problem that has been a going on for a week. I have to say Grainger blew me away , I went thru Weil McClain, Fasco, supply house. com and three local boiler supply stores and no one could figure out the issue. Not only did this guy solve the problem and found the part which is discontinued by Weil McClain but he called me back after reaching out to the parts manufacturer to get specs that he needed to find what grainger had that would do the Job. The guy was a life saver , really took the time to research the specs to get me the part I needed. JR thanks a million, I never would think grainger for a boiler part , wow. I'm going to be a regular customer of Grainger from now on.
A lot of complaints here..........but…
A lot of complaints here..........but not from me. You people should lay the shortage blame on the one that caused it, not the distributor. Right now this company is doing more than it's best to sell products (last time I checked that's what they do) IF and WHEN they can get them. In the mean time suck it up and if you voted for a Democrat president, OWN IT.

But yet both companies are still selling it.
I should have read the reviews before…
I should have read the reviews before placing my order.
I placed an order for a shop creeper, the website said it would arrive by December 20th. That day has passed and still no creeper. Worst is Grainger shows the item as shipped but no information on carrier or tracking number. Email to customer service was never answered. This company just takes your order/monies and disappears. Will never buy anything from them again. Stay away and save your money.
Two small LED bulbs
On November 5, 2021, I went to their Folcroft, PA location driving from Collegeville. I was there to pick-up an on-line order of two small LED Bulbs. This was my first time at this location or to buy from Grainger.
I had ordered the bulbs like the day before and they were ready for pick-up the morning after! The bulbs packaging was clean and in new perfect condition,
The staff member who waited on me and retrieved the bulbs could not have been nicer or more professional.
Grainer, I will be keeping you in mind for future project items!
Never received my order
Never received my order, customer service isn't replying to any of my email, their order tracking/customer service email return an error.
This company is a scam...
Customer service in Fort Worth is…
Customer service in Fort Worth is pretty decent, with most the individuals being great to deal with. Online ordering is confusing and prices are the highest anywhere I’ve seen, not to mention exorbitant shipping costs. Walk-in pricing is decent, and you can have immediately, if in stock. Had a commercial account for almost 20 years, but pricing has gotten so high I just can’t justify it anymore.
No way to track items
No way to track items! No help from customer service! They give you a date that means absolutely NOTHING! go to pick up order nobody knows anything about it! THIS COMPANY SUCKS BIG TIME!
