Utterly useless, consistent failures

Utterly useless from the start of the order to the non-delivery or wrong delivery or any other way you can dream up to fail. Every ... single ... time. I keep thinking I just got a bad break and trying again with Grainger but this is the last time. Incompetent at every step of management and supply chain. Good luck.

Grainger Sucks!

Contacted Grainger to exchange a pair of boots I got through my company's work boot program.

I was well within the return dates and yet the two customer service representatives were pretty horrible at facilitating the return process. I eventually hung up after well over an hour.

So I have an ill-fitting pair of Wolverine boots that will simply go in the trash.

Do not believe that this company's guarantee is genuine. They are obviously shysters with poor customer service and a convoluted return policy and procedure.

Hopefully David Grainger reads this review and addresses a few things. I don’t ever leave reviews for starters but I’m Totally disgusted with the way the past four orders have been . For starters I ordered ten 1.5hp condenser fan motors for a supermarket that needed them ASAP and 8 out of the 10 motors had fell out the bottom of the box during shipment and bent the mounting plate I ended up straitening the mounting plate on each one because I couldn’t wait any longer it was 90 degrees outside and the week and half to two weeks for them was long enough grainger had two motors In stock and rest back ordered. The problem was 1 piece of tape to hold a thirty pound motor in a box doesn’t work when it is picked up from the ends by shipping company so I needed to order 30 more motors but wanted the packaging addressed first So I called Grainger to let them know about the issue I had and that I did not want anything for the damage or problems just fix the packaging there shipped in and let me know when I can order more. I am still waiting to Here from them It’s been 3 months apparently my business doesn’t matter to them. I was 20k short of a million for sales for my business last year. I’m sure there competitors will be more than happy to take my money. Next issue I ordered a 600 dollar battery charger plug it in out of the box and would not put out any voltage on any setting could only hear the cooling fan inside running so I called Grainger to see if they could send me another for tomorrow so I could charge my scissor lift and only have one day down time but was told by Grainger lady I need to contact the manufacturer for replacement. I was polite to the lady on the phone I’m sure it wasn’t her fault she was just doing her job so I held my composure and said thank you for your time and the phone number to manufacturer. Said to myself I will just eat the down time . no problem . It’s just an eye opener for me and a lesson that I didn’t want to see others have to deal with same issues it’s hard enough trying to make a honest living now days so I wanted to let others know the way Grainger seems to be operating lately it’s definitely different lately from the way things were handled in the past I have been ordering from Grainger for the past 20 years and I can honestly say I’m totally Disgusted. Take this review however you would like it’s only the truth I Don’t have anything to gain from it. I am just a small business owner that does Supermarket and Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration for 100 plus customers 2nd Generation 40
+ years in business trying to make a living and surround myself with good Vendors. Jamie.M

This company is a SCAM don't ever buy from them

I purchased quick dam online as hurricane Dorian was coming on the way and I was told that maybe quick dam might help, however after I order it I realized that was not the right item I needed and I called to cancel the order and they told me they could not cancel the order and it was too late. This is all within an hour or so. I asked them if I could return the item as I was not planning to use it and they said no. For hurricane items and the volume that we sell for the hurricane, we don't accept any returns. And I said but I never used it, they said no. Don't ever buy from this company, and I will report them to the state attorney office and consumer report office.

Changing Item Price

are you kidding me!!! what a dishonest way to run a business! There was a gear i tried to order, and the price before logging into my account was 241.02. I was checking out as guest until I realized I had an account and decided to log in. All of a sudden after logging in the price changed to 301.50!!!! I decided to then open up the browser in internet explorer instead of chrome to check out again without logging into my account and the price went back to 241.02. Why would you charge me more for the same item after I log in to my Grainger account? I continued to check out as a guest to get the original price of the gear. DISHONEST!!

Worst company ever!

Worst company ever!! I talked to several people trying to find the right part for my central air motor. The wrong part was ordered. Took the part back, they said there was a computer error and could not refund my money, it might take a couple of hours. Now a couple of hours has turned into 24

A problematic History to Avoid

We have had nothing but problems from this company. We had delays without notification, we had orders put on hold without us indicating to do so, we have had an order that was never placed because they failed to ask us a question and needed an answer. They instead choose to wait 3 weeks to tell us. We have had things shipped to the wrong locale and items shipped twice, where we had to ship to duplicates back. They are unorganized, unhelpful, and frankly unprofessional. I would use as a last resort.

They do not stand behind their product description!

Blade Guard for Table Saw Did not fit. It was advertised to fit all 10" contractor saws but it wouldn't fit mine a basic 10" Delta contractors saw.
Made me pay for shipping back to get a refund. UNACCEPTABLE! Stand behind your product. Customer service said that's what manufacturer said in their description but it may not be correct or complete. I did not know I was buying item from manufacturer? I bought it from Grainger. As remote shoppers ordering online we can only act on the information given. If that information is incomplete we can't make an informed purchase. I will shop elsewhere in the future. I thought it couldn't get worse but they are making me pay for shipping to me so my only refund will be for the item I bought. This company will not survive in the consumer space. High prices, pay all shipping on returns and a take no responsibility attitude for their product description.

The company I work for needed to order…

The company I work for needed to order GHS labels. We ordered some from Grainger and when we received them they were only 1 of the GHS labels not a variety like the picture made it look. I contacted support and was told they were very sorry and that the picture on their website did look misleading. They are giving us a full refund and we don't even need to send back the stickers we ordered on accident. Would definitely order from this company again.

Have bee trying for over a week for …

Have bee trying for over a week for Grainger to make good on their extended warranty for two heaters. After 10 minutes on the phone to the Norfolk store, I was given and 800 number for the warranty department. After 15 minutes on hold A representative started to help me then I was disconnected. I then called the Grainger 800 number and Sean told me he would take care of the issue. A week later after 4 more calls on hold for a total of 1.5 hours and never connected ( 3 calls were disconnected before I had a chance to speak to anyone) and an email to Sean with no response. Called Grainger 800 number and spoke to Maria only to find out I had been given the wrong number to the warranty company. Maria and her supervisor said they would contact me and I would probably have the replacements the next day. No email or call back. It's been 3 more days with no response. I will no longer deal with Grainger even though their Norfolk store is 1/4 mile from my location. Only reason for one star is you cannot leave negative stars. Ed

Grainger BAD SERVICE AND LIARS!!!

Grainger delivery BAD SERVICE AND LIARS! This is a long story so I will try and condense it. We ordered an electrical part on a Thursday afternoon thinking they did their own deliveries and we would have it in a day or less. It's now Monday and no part. They claimed to have come by on Friday but did not leave the part even though it's been paid for. We were told. Saturday. Nothing . Then we were told no deliveries on Sundays period. Now it's Monday and they claim once again that they tried to deliver it on Sundays. The shop was open Sunday and NO ONE CAME BY FOR ANYTHING? LIARS! The bad service is bad enough. Now they are lying on top of that! UNACEPTABLE!!!!!! ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING HOW OVER PRICED EVERYTHING THEY SELL IS!!!!!!!
