Paid £4.99 for a very slim softback children's reading book 'Days Out With Frog and Toad'. Described as 'Very Good ' condition. Of 64 pages 32 had bright pink or yellow highlighter through many sente... See more

Total Lack of Customer Service
The book I ordered has not been delivered after nearly three weeks past the due date.
I have contacted Greener Books on three occasions asking for information and, lastly, a refund. There has been zero communication from Greener Books.
I would advise any prospective customer to seek an alternative provider.
Bookin’ Useless
I bought a copy of George Orwell’s ‘England Your England’ online on eBay, advertised as ‘Good Condition. Book.’ I thus assumed it was a paperback essay collection (my bad) but it was a 57 page booklet, saddle stitched, from a 1990s Penguin ‘Great Ideas’ series. When I complained about the description I received a curt ‘please return to sender. Upon receipt a refund will be issued.’ No apology. Not worth the considerable effort needed for a £3.59 refund even if I thought they’d give me a refund. If you have an alternative supplier, and there are plenty out there, I suggest you use them.

Ordered a book on Amazon from Greener Books. The day before delivery due the purchase was cancelled without any communication or explanation. Avoid.
Only one out of two!
I ordered two books. 1st one arrived as promised with a note saying the other one will be delivered later. It never arrived. I contacted them twice: first to ask when the 2nd book will be shipped, then to ask for a refund as the date I needed the book for had past. I didn't get any response for either of my messages.
SCAM Do not Use
This company seems to be a scam. I purchased a book through Abe Books (they're no help). They sent me a tracking number that didn't work, my book didn't arrive and they didn't answer.

Supposedly sent out but never received and tracking never worked
Vendor has not responded to numerous attempts to contact

said on the invoice it was in very good condition when i recieved it the back cover was damaged
Order not received, phoney tracking code, no response to refund requests, etc, etc.
As with many other reviewers of this company, I too have paid for a book order that didn't arrive, and been given an unrecognised Royal Mail tracking order. And, as with those other reviewers, I am also finding that Greener Books fail to respond to my requests for a refund. I would strongly advise against ordering anything from this company.
Books damaged by poor packaging
I ordered two paperbacks. They arrived, but poorly packaged in thin plastic so that both have been damaged in transit. (Their condition was described as 'Very Good' in the advert.) Both book covers have been torn and one has a damp stain (still wet) in the middle of the cover, which has gone through the paper and buckled the first few pages.
Dodgy copy
I believe that the book I've been sent is a dodgy copy of the Penguin original. The pages are yellow, the ink is bleeding into the paper, there are large ink blotches on the inner edges of pages, a header is missing, the ink strength varies from the one edge to the other edge of the page on many pages.....is this what the original is supposed to look like? I had to check whether Greener Books was some kind of publisher using recycled paper but it's not. Just a dodgy copy. I've messaged them via the Abe Books website. We'll see if they offer me a refund.
Don't waste your time or money with these charlatans
Ordered a book, told it would be delivered in three days it never turned up. They gave a fictional royal mail tracking number of their own devising because royal mail wouldn't recognise it. As a previous reviewer said they mark the order as despatched to avoid refunds. Absolutely disgusting way of carrying on & as for reviews that say that they've received their order I can only assume they've been posted by family members or friends of greener books. Avoid these charlatans or live to regret it-the choice is yours.
I see some reviews of bad orders
I see some reviews of bad orders. I received the wrong book and contacted customer services. Within a few hours they refunded my money, and I kept the book I didn't order. It seems customer services certainly work.
As to the wrong item ~ mistakes can be made by the person who has to work in the sorting office.
Order didn't come and no response
Order didn't come. Tracking number mysteriously revealed no information. No reply to two messages.
Avoid!
Wrong book sent
Wrong book sent; message sent via abe to Greener Books.

Never received book ordered
Never received book I bought via 'abe books website' and still waiting for refund.

I received my book promptly and it was packaged very neatly and the book was in wonderful condition! The price was also extremely economical! Thank you so much Greener Books!
The book I ordered was described as…used; Very Good
The book I ordered was described as used; very good.
Someone has taken scissors to most of the photos and some pages missing altogether, not ideal for a design book with graphics outweighing text.
Looking at reviews I see that customer care is abysmal, and it would not be worth the hassle to me to chase this up for a book that cost less than £5.
However …… use this company at your own risk. Take note of the reviews and never assume that a company that calls itself Greener Books is in anyway ethical.
E mails ignored, no communication regarding refund
Book ordered via Abe Books, dispatched by Greener Books. For some reason (even with tracked oder) , the book never arrived at my address. I wrote two e-mails( 9th of April and 25th of April) over the Abe Books platform to contact Greener Books. I have asked for the solution of the problem in the first e mail. In the second, I asked for the book to be resent or price refunded.
E mails were ignored.
No communication at all.
Thanks Greener Books via…
Bought a book from Greener Books via Abe Books . Exactly as described “used-very good”condition. Arrived quickly and very pleased with the quality of the book and the service provided.
Misadvertising and zero customer service
I have previously had good experiences with AbeBooks, but this seller is to be avoided. The book was described as being in "very good" condition; instead it was full of underlinings and comments in ink. My comments and requests for reimbursement elicited no personal response, only (after a week or so) a link to the website, where I must give evidence of posting the book back - at my expense of course. Note that the 5 star standing of the seller on AbeBooks relates only to the number of orders they fulfilled, not to the quality of their service. Even AbeBooks themselves has no interest in feedback, unlike Amazon (much as I hate to say it).
