Well what a fantastic experience it has been buying a greenhouse from the greenhouse people at Ditchling garden centre. From beginning to end I could not fault it. Dealing with the extremely helpful David and Jon who went over and above to help me with my greenhouse purchase. Also the fitter mark was absolutely fantastic. If I could award them all more than 5⭐️ I would. Many thanks to all. Really looking forward to my venture into greenhouse growing. 😊👏

My greenhouse was delivered by a very friendly driver exactly at the right time to coincide with my installer's arrival to put it up. All parts were there, everything fitted. It's strong and sturdy and looks set to outlast me. Put up by Denham Installations, who were lovely. Very prompt, tidy, friendly, and kind. Did a lovely job and left everything tidy. I have been delighted by this whole process.

I am a returning customer, having bought a greenhouse from The Greenhouse People 5 years ago. Since then, we have moved and we were so pleased with our purchase at the last house that we decided to go back to this company.
I dealt with Jason at the Staines branch. Excellent all round experience. Jason really knows how to look after his customers, and I am very glad we decided to go back there. 10/10

From the outset the staff at Ditchling were brilliant, and very informative. I was so indecisive but Jon was so patient. My greenhouse is now in situ and it all went so smoothly, and any little thing that needed doing during installation was handled so efficiently. I could not be happier.

We have bought our Malvern Heavy Apex 8x12 from Tony at Dobbies Braehead. Tony was great start to finish, very knowledgable and easy to talk to. Delivery will be in early November and I have no qualms that a good job will be done. This gives us time to prep the area. Tony has given us his card and all relevant info and we were incredibly happy to purchase this.

My greenhouse experience; (booked through Alphonso at the Peterborough showroom) was first class. Delivery was efficient, greenhouse is just amazing (Alton Elmhurst cedar with light green capping on a dwarf wall). Best of all the top ranked fitting team, led by Phil Oxlade, was just exceptional. Cannot fault any aspects of the experience - which when you are spending serious money on a greenhouse is all you can hope for (all expectations surpassed).

I was very grateful to Jason at the Staines site, for the caring way he understood my dilemma and offered a resolution to my problem and was even prepared to sacrifice a day off to ensure the problem was escalated. Fortunately I was able to resolve the issue, but he still had my gratitude.

We had a good experience buying our wee lean-to greenhouse from the Greenhouse People. Efficient service, helpful staff and would definitely recommend Denholm Installations to take care of the construction. All in all we were very happy with our purchase and final result.

A big thanks to Jon at The Greenhouse People at Notcutts in Ditchling. Jon spend time with us explaining the differences between the styles of greenhouses and sent a query to their head office as we were looking for something slightly non-standard. He confirmed everything that we required could be accommodated and the order was placed. The communication between ourselves and Greenhouse People was very good and they were flexible regarding the delivery date. The Greenhouse has been installed by Tony Birbeck who was very good and professional and I would have no hesitation in recommending Tony to anyone who requires an installation service. Once again a big thanks to Jon and Tony, the process of getting a new greenhouse was made so easy.The date shown below was the original contact and discussion date, but due to other work, the greenhouse was installed on 8th August.

The greenhouse people in Ditchling are a fantastic company to deal with- the kind of company people remember fondly because dealing with them is a rare pleasure. The people who work there (hello Jon!) are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I wholeheartedly recommend paying them a visit.

We’d been looking for a greenhouse for some time as we had an awkward spot to fill and we found Tony McInulty very helpful, allowing us to look at al the different greenhouses ourselves but also being available if we needed any help with our final selection.

What a great experience it was dealing with Tony McInulty of Braehead branch today. We were only coming to view the greenhouse but decided to order whilst we were there as he was so helpful and the company itself appear to be especially helpful in the way they sell their goods. We were under no pressure at all which was great as we had already decided that we were going to buy, it was just a matter of when. Tony went above and beyond to be helpful and explain everything and we look forward to receiving the greenhouse in due course.

Order and delivery of the greenhouse was fine but the construction was an absolute nightmare. The instructions and illustrations appear to have been written by two idiots who've never met and don't speak the same language. Half the parts you receive aren't numbered so you'll waste an afternoon numbering them yourself but then some parts aren't numbered in the instructions either so you'll waste more time again. Overall, I felt like I wasted so much time trying to interpret the drawings when all I needed was a bird's eye view of a section or joint. In addition, I had to drill out the holes in 8 pieces that the manufacturer had failed to punch out. The nuts and bolts are a very poor standard and half a dozen or more nuts just jammed halfway and could not be screwed or unscrewed and the bolts had to be snapped off. After that's happened a couple of times your heart's in your mouth every time you have to connect a nut and bolt. The window vent is also very poor quality, ill fitting and the handle has rough, sharp edges. Finally, the large panes of safety glass seemed like a good idea but I realise now that if any break they're going to be very expensive to replace and difficult to source locally.

I bought mine in the sale with twenty per cent off and put it together myself over the course of several days so for me the price was about right for the quality. If I'd paid full price and hired someone for a week to construct it for me it would've been very overpriced. Basically, the greenhouse seems okay but the terrible instruction manual and the poor level of workmanship on some parts has left me feeling very little goodwill towards this company and I would not use them again.

Greenhouse people Ponteland , Paul and Nathan were very helpful in helping us select the right greenhouse for our needs , we were extremely happy with our experience here . Nothing was rushed and both very professional but friendly at the same time.Our delivery was earlier than the lead time ( another bonus) the driver was very helpful in placing the boxes and glass in a secure place . We had asked about fitting to which a list was provided with trusted fitters we went with David Kenny and my I say what a lovely person he is .he was very knowledgeable and helpful respectful of our property , from start to finish I would highly recommend this company and there fitter David

We found that Jason at Staines Notcutts very helpful. He kept us informed and advised on contractors to build the shed base he also answered our questions honestly, in particular when we decided on a different shed than what was quoted initially. I felt valued and he understood my “one stop shop” requirement to supply and build. We bought a Malvern that met this requirement.
It’s only ordered recently, so can’t comment on delivery, quality etc.

Welcome was great, all options were explored as I took my time viewing the display greenhouses. Sue at Staines was helpful without being pushy and follow-up calls have been helpful too. I ended up purchasing a display model at discounted price: happy customer!

Fantastic service, products and after care. I had an issue recently following a purchase I made over four years ago. It was easy to make contact with the team and raise my query. I received quick and really helpful responses which concluded with a replacement part being swiftly sent to me. In addition, I was also provided with additional products required to complete the replacement at no additional cost to myself. Great company and experience all round, of I could award more than 5 stars I would. Highly, highly recommend!
