I ordered my floating shelves but didn't have to put any card details in. It says my order has been created but I've emailed numerous times to ask if it has gone through as it would seem strange that I didn't have to pay? I've called the number every day since I submitted my order but no answer and no call back. No one responding to my emails. I have no idea if my order has actually gone through.

I had a requirement for a corner shelf to mount a soundbar speaker. Tom was happy to take the time to provide me with the key dimensions I needed to ensure a neat installation. I also asked for concealed batten mountings which he was happy to provide without surcharging me. I’m delighted with the quality and fit of the finished item, which accommodates the speaker perfectly. If it had been supplied more quickly, I’d have happily given five stars, but my patience finally paid off!

Ordered bespoke oak shelves after checking with Tom that he could supply them having sent him full drawings for the items, surprised that it took a while to get back to me confirming they could be made but finally ordered them. 3 oak shelves costing £300. Couple of weeks later after phoning to check on progress the shelves arrived, unfortunately due to bad packing the edge/corner of one was badly damaged, also no fittings for any shelves, although ordered, were included. Emailed Tom but no reply received so after 8 days, once again phoned, after explaining the problem they agreed to have the shelves back for rectification. They would arrange collection of all 3. On reflection and as a a gesture of good will I offered to just return just the damaged shelf and I would accept a slightly narrower shelf if they could trim the edge back. After yet another call again after no response for a week they organised a pickup of the damaged shelf. Shelf collected by courier. Nothing heard after 12 days so phoned again, they had the shelf so would do the repair and get it back asap. Reminded them that NO shelf fittings had been received for the 3 shelves. Finally the repaired shelf arrived, unfortunately only 2 sets of shelf supports included. Immediately emailed to ask for the missing supports to be sent by return, nothing heard so emailed again. Now 12 days later still no communication and no fittings received! I have just ordered them on Amazon myself so I can undertake fitting the shelves. I might add that the shelf supports came with no instructions whatsoever, there is a very minimal guide on their website but gives no detail as to hole sizes etc.
I personally would not deal with this company, utterly poor communication and show no respect to their clients. The process so far has taken over 7 weeks. Its a shame because the product as finally received is good.

For whatever reason I just can’t fathom, this company really don’t want to produce the shelves I ordered. If they would be honest and tell me why that is I’d maybe feel less annoyed about it, but as it is they are incommunicado so I am left guessing.

I placed a large order in November and was assured it would be delivered by December.

December came round and no word from them so I started chasing. This company are completely unresponsive and have no customer services provision. They don’t answer the phone, respond to voice messages or emails. After a while of trying to get through with no response I wrote that I was concerned I’d paid more than £1k and was not being given anything in return, then they randomly cancelled the order without any explanation (apparently this was them being considerate and returning my money).

After several more goes I finally did get through to them I was told they had a problem with the timber. They said they would order more and deliver my order after Christmas (at which point I could make the payment).

January came round and still no word. Again many phone calls and emails until I eventually got through. At that point I was told they now had the right timber and they’d get on and make the shelves in the following week.

That was now several weeks ago. Still no word from them, still no responses to my emails. Their phone line even went dead for a while but seems to be working again now. It’s been more than three months and at this point I have to give up.

I have never been treated this poorly when trying to purchase something. Zero effort to keep me updated and zero responsiveness to my requests for update. Complete lack of respect for the customer. The one saving grace is that I got my money back. Frankly I don’t understand how you can run a business like that.

I have just fitted the floating shelves made for us by Greenoakman, and can honestly say we are absolutely delighted with them!
We were not looking for the cheapest, we simply wanted top quality, hand crafted floating shelves, made to our exact requirements, and that is exactly what we got!
Nothing was too much trouble for Tom and the team, I requested colour samples prior to finishing our shelves, which again were all hand finished to give an exact replication of what I would be getting, and from start to finish the service and craftmanship was exceptional, and to be totally honest the price we paid was great too!

Placed an order for shelves - made an error in the order, and fair enough received a mail to point this out. Order was then cancelled but not refunded. Went to place the correct order, money taken from my account but no acknowledgement of order. Emailed the company several times, rang daily. No response so had to to through the chargeback route. Then I got a call from the company telling me they would deduct cost of chargeback - even though it was due to their lack of engagement that I had to go that route. When I challenged this, Tom hung up on me, and did indeed deduct the costs from my refund. Such a terrible customer service.

I ordered three floating shelves of different lengths and they arrived within about ten days - much sooner than I expected - and are really lovely quality. I also emailed Tom with a question about delivery and got a very quick, helpful reply. I was a bit worried by some past reviews but it seems like many of them relate to orders where customers sent incorrect measurements. My experience was really good, and i'd have no hesitation about ordering from the company again.

Leaving you a positive review to counteract numpties who apparently don’t know mm from cm….but it also helps that your product is exceptionally high quality and customisable whilst not impacting on quality consistency. Firm recommend.

My floating shelf was 2.4 meters long. Very pleased with it. Beautiful piece of wood. Waited 5 weeks for it but the Website did say 5 weeks wait. Well worth the wait. Packaged very well. I would definitely recommend.

We purchased one floating shelf on 7 May 24, unfortunately item received with damaged corners. We contacted Tom the same day, received a response from Tom offering to arrange collection/repair and change the brackets….all sounds very promising. However, we are still waiting for the above to be actioned!! (3 emails sent requesting updates). None existent customer service, shame because the product is good. Very disappointed!

No goods delivered. No communication. No response to requests for updates. After 60 days I had to instruct my bank to recover funds. Under no circumstances would I recommend this company.

I ordered 3 shelves on 11/11/2023 and received them on 03/12/2023. I immediately noticed that the brackets were missing for 2 of the shelves. I emailed greenoakman and they replied quickly saying that they would be sent out immediately. However it is now 23/02/2024 and I have still not received the brackets so have been unable to put the shelves up. I have emailed them twice more since and they are now ignoring me. These were not cheap shelves (£170.40) and I am really disappointed that i have not received what I paid for. Terrible service.

Ordered 3 shelves. quality is fantastic. Took a little longer than I wanted - 10days but well worth waiting for.

Ordered 2 floating oak shelves. Ordering process was good, and received samples to make final choice of finish before the shelves were made. Pretty quick overall and helpful emails during the process. Shelves look really good

Ordered 5 solid rustic oak floating shelves from Greenoakman last Summer and am very pleased with them. My contact at Greenoakman was Tom and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was refreshing to be able to call the company and speak to someone who knew 'their wood!' I was originally anxious having read some of the negative reviews but after a couple of conversations with Tom, I felt reassured and I'm glad I trusted my instincts to proceed with my order. I wanted a high quality product and that's what I got. They're not great with admin but still, I prefer dealing with people who are experts in their craft and have a passion for what they do, rather than a company with all the frills and mediocre substance! I could not afford to get my shelves wrong and wanted guidance; they provided this and I'm happy with the shelves provided. I don't often submit reviews but with my order; their advice, product and delivery were spot on. Of course, the measurements I supplied were spot on too, I triple checked them, so win win all round! Thank you Greenoakman, a team effort I suppose!

Quality is well worth waiting for, our new shelves are beautiful. They are wonderfully finished and look stunning in our kitchen. Tom was extremely helpful.

We ordered some white oak floating shelves from Tom at greenoakman. They turned up on 8 days, well packed and the quality of the wood and the edges was nothing short of perfect. I was a bit worried about using this company when I saw the reviews but they assured me that they had sorted themselves out re COVID. I’m so pleased I trusted them.

I accidentally ordered the wrong size and when I mentioned it, I was given my requested refund right away, no questions asked.
Service and delivery was fast and easy, and Tom was very understanding and helpful when I realised I had ordered the wrong thing.
I definitely recommend, and feel the other negative reviews I have seen are unjustified and dont match my experience at all. Good service deserves fair credit when its due!
