Very poor advice and spend months of wasted time coming up with it. Cost us lots of money we don't have spare have during a cost of living crisis and even worse, cost us our living situation for at least a couple years due to the timewasting. Please avoid for your own good.
Avoid, if you have a choice
Slow, unresponsive, overpriced and, at times, unprofessional. Avoid if at all possible.
GWCA in the person of Colin Edmonds
GWCA in the person of Colin Edmonds, have been a godsend in their speed and professionalism in handling the purchase of my new home. After problems with previous conveyancing solicitors they were easy to deal with, prompt and efficient.
Capable, quick and genuine
Amanda and Juliet have been amazing in helping my mother with a particularly difficult residential property sale and purchase. They were quick, attentive, communicative throughout, and it was clear that they always had my mother's best interests at heart. Thoroughly recommend.
Professional and responsive
I've had a really tough time with some poor conveyancers, in the past couple of years (see my other reviews for details for who to avoid…). GWCA are a vanishing breed of high quality conveyancers.
We didn't have the easiest purchase (issues with the chain, the other sides conveyancing etc), and at every point GWCA/Tony (our main conveyancer/contact), did a brilliant job of moving things along and was very understanding and responsive.
The work they actually produce is high quality, and was done exceptionally quickly. I particularly recommend them if you're relatively local as it was really convenient to be able to physically pop into the office and pick up mail or have a member of their team act as a witness to help get paperwork done faster.
The only very slight negative experience was they were a little bit slow to get the very initial paperwork out (to actually begin the process of starting the case) but I suspect this was in large part as we were nearly at the end of the stamp duty holiday deadline so they where a bit busier then usual, and given how good they were at getting back to us after this point I don't think it is a typical example of their work.
They are a little pricier than some other conveyancers I have used, but more than worth it both for peace of mind/ quality of experience and also just the lack of time taken up my end having to chase people.
I wish I had found out about them years ago I suspect it would have saved me a lot of headaches, I will use them again if needed, and heartily recommend anyone else who reads this review does so!
