The company is a joke, run by clowns, only think H&P are good at is working out how much cash they can swindle out you each month for services not carried out.. They use contracted cowboys as builders of witch most of them if they do turn up only are looking for where they can water there horses.. STAY CLEAR OF H&P AND SAVE MONEY.. If you are buying a property with H&P as the property factor DONT BUY IT..!! Walk away with money in your pocket..!!

This is the worst factor I've ever had to deal with. I would give -0 if I could. Shocking service, ridiculous response times, very overpriced + couldn't care less about your property's issues.
Our development has voted by a 2/3 majority to change to another factor. Despite following ALL the correct procedures, H+P is refusing to let us leave. Don't touch this company with a barge pole. Media attention next!

Put simply, you will not deal with a worse business in your life than Hacking and Paterson. They make owning a factored property almost impossible.

They will approve frivolous repairs and will make no effort to understand if they are genuinely required. They will not obtain multiple quotes meaning you will pay through the nose for the simplest service. They will claim to be proactive, when in reality they are anything but. They will increase your float and claim it’s necessary to fund repairs, despite having agreed lengthy credit terms with their suppliers. They will increase their management fee every year and you will have no power to challenge it. They hide their accounts via their corporate set-up because they don’t want you to know how many millions they earn each year from fleecing you.

They are a disgrace and their bullying tactics forced me out of my property. Do not buy a property if it is factored by Hacking and Paterson. You have been warned.

I am giving a 5 star review fo a member of staff, Alexandra working at the Glasgow Branch, we were recently victims of theft and she has been incredible helpful and supportive.

Chloe and Alastair were helpful in sorting issues with bulk items left by other neighbours! A thankless job sometimes but glad they understood our worries and took action!

the best ever issuers of invoices for all imaginable " services" not giving a damn about the real problems of the buildings and ignoring arrogantly any dialog other than " direct debit has been set " . They will ignore whatever problem until becomes critical and then they will ask for " repair " money without any accountability . Probably the worst factor in West Scotland and eager to stay in this "top " position

Had an issue with my bill and spoke to Jack. He was so helpful and it was sorted within a couple of hours - would definitely recommend :)

Overall I am happy with the service I have received from H&P. I have been with previous Glasgow based factors and I must admit the service from H&P has been far superior.

Their response times are much better than others and the team are usually very friendly and helpful.

It is important to remember factors do work only at the request of owners, standardly. Over the years I have only had 1 negative experience but that spans over 20 interactions so this appears to be a one-off. The one time I had an issue the team manager, Bruce, saved the day and restored my faith quickly!

I am conscious other developments have had issues however I think my success has been down to the team and especially their team manager, Bruce, that look after my development.

Most of the good reviews on here are about 1 person. Like the rest of the bad reviews, mine will be about the company as a whole. They do not listen. Often I get what looks like a form letter response to a question I didn't ask. Apparently there is a way to dispute something with the company, but they will not explain the dispute process. I managed to get something into a dispute, but the results were to repeat exactly what I was told prior to the dispute. Costs keep rising. Our quarterly fees for a property in Leith are now more than my friend's who lives in Morningside. Furthermore, they added a £200 float charge to everyone's account and only informed us of it with 11 days notice. Do not move into a property managed by H&P. You will end up angry and paying a lot more than you should.

Usually deal with Andrew Grant. He has been helpful and patient when explaining things to me.
Any questions are dealt with promptly if he can answer them as long as it does not depend on others at H&P.
Andrew as an individual also makes attempts to visit site occasionally to see what is happening for himself.

Extort money from you, refuse point blank to refund £ due insist on 3month notice period to cancel although there is no contract with them nor is there need for them in your title deeds! Avoid at all costs. You have been warned. Solicitor now involved!

Recently sold my tenement flat and Kirsty at H&P was so helpful in helping me finalise last bill. Most of my dealings recently with H & P have been with Kirsty and I have been impressed by her quick courteous manner in dealing with issues and getting resolutions in place. She has gone over & above in my opinion in actioning works to be carried out and I cannot thank her enough.

You don't listen. You were advised you were installing the wrong light but went ahead costing owners 3 times more in electricity costs.
You were advised not to clean out gutters as it was done 6 months previously and the trees were still shedding their leaves but you disregarded this and went ahead with another clean.

I have been really happy with my service. I had moved into my property only a few months back I had some queries about certain things. Lynsey Hutchinson has been absolutely fantastic getting back to me with all the information I needed very fast. Thank you!

I have been really impressed by the service received from my Property Manager at Glasgow office Hacking & Paterson. Kirsty Rodger has helped sort out regular gutter clearing and some moss removal from the roof by resourcing advice from several roofing companies. Kirsty is punctual in replying and nothing is any bother to her. I appreciate all your help with the maintenance of the property.

Service from Glasgow office has been superb. Had to contact Lynsey the Team Manager with a few enquiries as I am new to living on a factored property. Her efficiency in dealing with my enquiries and then resolving them has been first class. No complaints here.
