Hampton Athletic Community was established by Wesley Tyerman. Wesley has worked within the sporting and fitness industries for more than two decades. His experiences working as a coach, a trainer, an athlete and for high profile sports brands has enabled him to get a holistic understanding of the industry and what different people want and need. Wesley created Hampton Athletic Community as he saw an opportunity to build a new community in the fitness world. A community is an often overlooked in personal training as it is viewed more as training individuals. Whilst clients are different and have their own personal goals and tailored programmes, many of them wanted more, they want an inclusive community whereby they can share, encourage and experience their training together. Hampton Athletic Community offers this. Through Hampton, clients are encouraged to interact with each other creating a more enjoyable gym experience, clients challenge themselves and promote their successes within the community, boosting self-confidence and delivering better results. The Hampton community combined with a programme tailored to each clients personal goals, ensures that everyone in the community are able to see impressive, continuous progress, feel confident and safe when training and train to their absolute potential. They are all athletes. Wesley is a qualified Reformer Pilates Instructor working across various studios in London including Virgin Active, Level Out and ZAO Wellness.

PT sessions

Wesley is such a great PT, he helped me reach a PB on our first session. He really listens to you to understand what your goals are, and advises things in line with them. His PT technique is great, he’s not patronising or overbearing, he gently guides and helps bring out the best in you whether it’s for 20 minutes or an hour and encourages you every time he sees you, whether he’s training with you or not.

Stronger and confident with Wes

I met Wes a year ago when he happened to pass by and offered me a quick tip on improving my hip thrust form. Even though I wasn’t looking for a trainer at the time, we got to chatting and I tried a bench press session with him. After that one session, I was hooked! I feel so grateful to have met him, he has helped me come out of my shell and made me feel more comfortable at the gym.
Ever since I started training with Wes, I’ve improved so much. I’m lifting heavier weights, something I wouldn’t have achieved without his support. Even when I was away for a couple of months due to returning to education, he stayed in touch. When I came back, we picked up right where we left off.
Wes is more than a trainer, he’s a friend. I highly recommend training with him!

If you want to feel supported and encouraged on your journey, Train with Wes :)

I've had the pleasure of training with one of my favorite people, and I couldn't be more grateful for his support and expertise. Even when we're not scheduled to work together, he always makes time to offer invaluable advice and encouragement. Thanks to his guidance, I've achieved several important fitness goals and learned so much about training and overall wellness. His personalised approach, genuine care, and unwavering commitment have truly transformed my journey. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a personal trainer who goes above and beyond to help you succeed.

Health is wealth

I start off going to the gym with the plan of building strength. Unfortunately, I had never been a gym goer, and I was struggling to achieve my goals. So, I decided to give personal training a go and I haven’t regretted it. Wesley is brilliant! I find Wesley to be focused on making sure I am challenged and keeps me going when I would rather give up.

I have gained about 10kgs. I’m lifting heavier weights and much more confident. I would recommend Wesley to anyone!

Amazing, highly motivating personal trainer!

Wes has genuinely changed my life - I made a New Year’s resolution in Jan 2024 to get fit but having never been to the gym before I had no idea where to even start. From the get go he was extremely patient, very kind to my amateur self but also super knowledgeable, explaining all the muscle groups behind each exercise and making sure my form was correct so I didn’t injure myself. He was always approachable and willing to adjust my plan to reach my goals, and under his training I went from not being able to do a single pull up to successfully doing 10KG weighted pull ups in one year! The community is very friendly too, it’s nice to know people at the gym and I’ve even started training regularly on my own time with some of Wes’s other clients too! I’d 100% recommend Wes as a trainer and a friend, it’s highly motivating to train with someone who believes in you so much :)

Your go-to personal trainer

I have been training with Welsey for the last 6 months. For somebody who has got problems with consistency and determination I think I'm doing great. I d like think that I found a perfect match for my PT. Wesley really understands clients' goals, issues and personal work/life circumstances. What really kept me going: schedule flexibility, very insightful and thorough explanation about any muscle groups or excersise (I always ask a lot of questions), he also knows how to push you to your limit (when I workout alone, I tend to feel sorry for myself and take lighter weight) and he has got great personality (which is also super important). He keeps me going towards my goal which I am hoping to achieve by my set deadline.

Best thing I ever did

Wes has taught me so much during our sessions and has built my confidence to feel safe while using the gym equipment. I've been pushed and encouraged out of my comfort zone and can see and feel myself getting stronger. I would recommend Hampton Athletic to anyone starting out who wants long term results.

Personal training with a difference

So as many people know personal trainers are two a penny especially in London but finding a really really good one is special.

Hampton truly is a community and has been carefully curated in this way by Wesley. He wants to make sure his clients are supported by him and others so everyone meets and exceeds their goals. He cares about all of us and celebrates all of our achievements. The expert guidance received is only achieved through years and years of training and working in the sports industry.

Wes will go out of his way to help anyone, he is always there with a smile on his face and enthusiasm to train hard. Beware of leg day it’s a killer ;)

Expert Training and an actual Community

When I moved to London, I was really nervous about finding a new trainer and a bit reluctant to do so, but after joining with Hampton and working with Wesley I've made so much progress and feel much more comfortable at the gym. I've learned a lot about how best to achieve my health goals. Having such a knowledgeable and experienced trainer has made the world of difference.
I am happily on my way to being my strongest self. Within months I was hitting goals I thought would take years to reach and I am so excited to see the progress I'm sure I'll continue to make.
Working out with the community has really boosted my confidence. It's really encouraging to have people to celebrate your progress with and inspiring to see how well everyone is doing.
