Not exactly customer service.
Disappointing customer service!!! They really need to train their employees on how to communicate with consumers. Not one apology or empathetic response for a delayed Christmas order and I spoke to someone over the phone as well as via chat two days apart. Unwilling to consider my package lost until 14 business days have passed (that is absurd!). Unwilling to refund or replace items until more time passes, even though the package has not been scanned for one full week. Why do I have to wait even longer and risk the items selling out? A human-centric approach would have retained me as a customer - a simple "I'm sorry you're having this experience, how disappointing not to receive your Christmas gifts in time." But I did not get anything close to that (customer service 101!!!!), so I will never, ever order from this company again. First and last time.
Pants arrived later; Charged for Return
Bought some Christmas pants from Hanna Andersson and it was set to be here on time but was four days later than promised. Then, when I returned it because it arrived too late, they didn’t give me a full refund and charged me to return the item! Awful experience! Liars and scammers!!

I don't recommend dealing with this company for international orders. Terrible customer service. Delivery was quite delayed, No legitimate tracking. NO instructions on how to return items. Still trying to find that out.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. DO NOT ORDER from them! My order was placed on 11/17 and supposedly shipped that day as I received tracking info. The tracking sat in "processing" until I called the company on 12/1 to find out what was going on. I did not receive any kind of answer but that they would just re-order the items. First off ordered early as I needed them by a certain date and secondly half the order was no longer in stock, so I stated I would like my whole order refunded. As of today 12/6 still no refund. I call and am on hold for 22 minutes the lady who answered was very sweet however I could tell this happens all the time. First off the person last week did not process my credit so back to square one and once this rep gets it all in the system WAIT FOR IT..................she says it will be 6-8 weeks to process the refund. I have never heard of such a thing. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE!!!!!

Horrible service!! Ordered almost a month ago, the said they would deliver in two weeks and i am still waiting. Have e-mailed 3 times and received no answer! Take your business elsewhere so you won’t be disappointed.
Great baby clothes, arrived in reasonable timing
I was worried after I made a large first time order after reading people’s reviews on here, but I had no issues. It took a little extra time to process, but all online stores are having this problem right now. Everything is great and very high quality. I’ll definitely be buying more from them. Most people reviewing sound like a bunch of Karens.

I ordered some clothing for my grandsons the first part of November. What I said I wanted they indicated in was in stock. Two and a half weeks later I received three packages of little girl panties. When I FINALLY talked to someone, they could have cared less. She stated the items I ordered were not in stock anymore. I asked about sending back the girl panties and she said it would 7 - 14 days to get a label via email in order to return. I used to order from HA because of the quality, BUT I will NEVER order from this company again. This is the second time they have screwed up an order with little care. When I am ordering from a high end store, I expect good customer service. Rating - F
HORRIBLE customer service
Horrible customer service. I ordered an item that was literally reduced the next day on the website. I asked for the order to be cancelled or the price adjusted, never received a response. Followed up twice, no response. In the chat then I was told item cannot be cancelled nor adjusted in price. Customer service incredibly rude in response, and just stopped communicating in the chat. On top, item took weeks to arrive. Never again will I order from Hanna Andersson

I have ordered from Hanna for years and was happy with their product. I know there is an issue with covid but it took 2 weeks to process shipping. This has happened 3 times. My credit card number has been stolen twice and each time I narrowed it to a Hanna purchase. I contacted them each time and got no response from customer service. I question the security of their site. Now when I want to get something for my grand daughter I send her mother a check and have her order it. Customer service is horrible!

i was weary about ordering because of the bad reviews so i only ordered a single item (dinosaur sherpa hoodie) and paid using paypal in case there were any non delivery issues. i placed my order 10/23/21 and while it did take longer than stated on the site to ‘process’ (ship the item) i received 2 emails prior to shipping stating there were delays and asking for patience. it shipped on 11/4/21 and arrived 11/5/21 which was a shock since that was super fast (however, i do happen to be in IN which is close to their fulfillment facility in KY)
and the hoodie is great! it fits my son perfectly based on age/size and the quality is just as good as anything else you’d buy at kohl’s or macy’s.

HA is the worst company to do business with .I placed a order waited weeks for it to ship . They never shipped the order so I called to cancel . They said you cant cancel you must wait for delivery and then return the items . Stay far away from this horrible company

Ordered Hanukkah pajamas on 10/17/ 2021 and payed extra to expedite the arrival on 10/27/2021. Did not arrive. Called customer service and was told company would send out using one day delivery. Didn’t arrive. Called and was on hold for 30 minutes and Jason answered and hung up on me. Called again, waited and was told fedex is not accepting one day service and would arrive on 11/3/2021. Family get together taking place on 10/31/2021 to 11/2/2021. at which time pajamas were to be given and family pictures were scheduled with a professional photographer. I now will
have to pay shipping for two packages.
I realize that their is a shortage of workers.
However this company offered fast shipping that does not exist and I was lied to. If I knew that there would be a delay, I would have either made different plans or ordered from another company.
I thought this company had a good reputation.

Long time customers...still happy
We've been ordering from HA for years...sometimes in person, sometimes online, and sometimes at their (former) outlet shop. Two years ago, I asked a sales associate about their change in return policy (used to be super flexible -- they always accepted returns if an item fell apart or didn't last); the associates were told that people had been taking advantage...and effectively the company was forced to be more strict. (Maybe new mgmt?) Disappointing, but I understand. We've never had trouble ordering online, or making returns, so while it was sad to see them close their retail shops during COVID, again -- I understand, and we've never had trouble. I have noticed a slight decline in quality...items that used to be 100% organic cotton are now blends (leggings are now 10% lycra, which I'm pretty sure is a recent change) and the clothes don't last *quite* as long, but as long as we can get them on sale I'm happy to pay a little more for quality. They're certainly far and away better than Target (Cat & Jack) and Old Navy, both of which are great for cheap and cheerful that you don't expect to last, but I'd rather the kids have a few things they wear a lot and get use out of, than buy a bunch of stuff they wear 4-5 times before it falls apart. So we'll keep buying HA until they get to that point.

They sent me the wrong order and told me my order is out of stock. Asked me to wait for item return and place order. Now my matching is no longer matching. I asked to cancel my entire order since I didn’t receive the items. They promised to refund but no email sent, then told me I cannot cancel when I followed up. Every agents gave different statements. Wasted of my time holding on the line.
There are so many stores out there, don’t bother to order from them. Bring your business somewhere, If they don’t appreciate your business. They closed down their physical stores, I am sure the online stores won’t last long either.
Order never shipped
I placed an order 14 days ago. They created the shipping label and still haven't handed the parcel over to fedex. Their customer support claims they did, but fedex has not received or scanned the it into their system. Their customer support confirmed that Hanna Andersson has not handed it over to them. I am coming up on the three week mark. I will absolutely be filing a claim with my credit card company if it comes to it.
9/13/21 TERRIBLE, SHADY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
9/13/21. I am furious. I ordered a matching set of pajamas ( which is what HA markets)! They sent only half the order and THEN notified me they were out of one size. . I would obviously have changed or cancelled my order if I was not getting a matching set. Customer service is terrible and would only waive the 5 dollar return fee. The burden and hassle was on me for their poor business practice? It’s all very shady and clearly happens all the time. DONE WITH HANNAH ANDERSON!!! Mini Boden seems ethical and I’ll go there. High Quality Fabrics
We have ordered from HA for several years, now, and we have not had any problems with their customer service. Very rarely, we will receive an item that is damaged or has a printing flaw, but they have always refunded us, right away, via their live chat. (Most items arrive in high quality, perfect condition.) They have a ton of organic cotton options, but many of their other fabrics are still STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® (even if not organic) for added safety. Love this brand!
HA reneged on their $15 discount offer!
Hanna Andersson offered a $15 discount on any purchase over $15 on PayPal. I clicked on that promotional link on PayPal to access the HA site. I made my purchase. No discount! Hanna said it was Paypal's promotion. PayPal said it was HA's promotion. But it makes sense that only HA would benefit from my purchase. FRAUD! I will never buy from them again.
Five stars over and over again!
I know some have had issues with refunds or shipping times, but we've not had any issues because we haven't returned anything and we don't mind the shipping times because the pajamas are completely worth it. These are the best pajamas we've ever purchased. It's been about four years since we started using this brand and the pajamas have went through three boys and many many washes and they still look pretty darn new. We've not purchased any other clothing from here, just pajamas, so my review is only on the pajamas. It's the only brand that one of our boys with struggles will wear so I'm grateful there's an adult line for him to eventually be in that I might purchase now just so I have them when he's a teenager in a few years. We are grateful for this company that a friend suggested to us. After so many bedtime clothing issues for us, these pajamas saved us some sanity. Five stars over and over again!
Borderfree failed to deliver to Australia, apparently my problem, not Hannas!
Attempted online shopping from Australia using Hanna Andersson's 'Borderfree' service. The details promised (ie, delivery ETA at checkout, tracking service) are not provided. After waiting weeks for our delivery, they finally said it was 'undeliverable' (no problems at my end) and had been returned to the US, but that they could not resend it. Items now sold out online in the sizes we wanted, so a very disappointed 5 year old girl. Customer service was slack to say the least. No explanations offered, just 'don't know', 'we can't' and inferred, 'too bad'. For a business that tries to present as a premium offering, it was very poor form. Try Polarn o Pyret instead - their customer service team go above and beyond for us!
