We had a wonderful afternoon with Hawkeye Falconry UK at Thoresby Park. Alistair’s passion and knowledge about birds of prey shine through, and his humorous, engaging approach makes the experience enjoyable for all ages. The event was well organized with plenty of opportunities to see the incredible birds up close and learn about their lives and history. It’s clear how much care and respect Alistair has for these amazing creatures. Looking forward to future shows and would definitely recommend!

This experience was on my bucket list and was booked while staying on a holiday at Thoresby Hall.
The experience was amazing the Falconer was brilliant and the session was un rushed. All parties were able to experience direct contact with the birds in beautiful surroundings.
The session was very interactive and took place in beautiful surrounding by highly specalised staff.

We spent a fabulous afternoon flying different types of birds of prey. Our instructor Alistair was very informative and knowledgeable but also very humorous. Would definitely recommend

A brilliant afternoon at Thoresby watching the birds of prey! Very entertaining and seen birds that we had never seen before. Alister is so knowledgeable about his birds and it shows throughout the show.
Really hope this happens again next year, as will definitely be going again.
Maybe next year, a cake stall could be there too! Can help out there if you need!

What a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon spent at Thoresby Park with Alistair, (his team), and his incredible family of birds of prey.
The display of these amazing creatures was fantastic, and the love and respect for these animals purely shone through Alistair, as he talked about the lives and history of these beautiful birds.
Alistair made sure that everyone was able to see the the birds in flight, and his expertise in handling them was fantastic.
Everything was well organise and well timed and gave you chance to enjoy your picnic and walk around the beautiful grounds.
The birds were the stars of the show, with Grace and (of course Rocky), stealing the limelight, just a little!

We recently attended the picnic with the birds at Thoresby, with one of our granddaughters, this was after we had already undertaken a bird experience day. The event was well thought of considering it was the debut event. Alistair is an amazing, very experienced handler. I know this event will grow over the following years, of which we will be attending. Very highly recommend others to look out for events in the future or book onto an experience day

The whole afternoon was fantastic. Well planned for all ages and abilities. Alistair has a natural flair for putting everyone who is at the event, at ease.
The dialogue was relevant and entertaining throughout and he clearly has a passion and great respect for all the birds of prey he looks after.
The timings were well spaced with time to enjoy the other stalls if wished, which was great for the youngsters and families.

Thanks again Alistair for organising such an enjoyable afternoon. Will definately attend the one next year!

Fabulous event, it’s so laidback and friendly; bit like a very mini festival vibe. The show itself is brilliant and the music really adds to it, the birds are simply stunning. Alistair has the most special bond with the birds and you can tell just how happy they are to be with him (and him them). We’re very much looking forward to seeing Rocky ‘perform’ again, he’s a great character!

Go and see them, you will not be disappointed. We’ll certainly be back, thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Just spent a fabulous afternoon with Alistair and Hawkeye Falconry at the Birds of Prey and afternoon tea experience at Thoresby Hall. It was amazing value for money and can’t recommend it highly enough. I’m keeping fingers crossed that they hold another one and will be booking tickets for all my family and friends.

What an amazing afternoon we have had ‘An Afternoon Picnic with Birds of Prey’ at Thoresby Park.
The birds were breathtaking, a pleasure and a honour to watch them with their trainer. What a partnership there.
The only very minor negative we had was upon arrival there was a problem finding people’s names on the sheet. Should have been in surname alphabetical order. All staff were great though and had obviously worked very hard to pull the afternoon together.
We chose the afternoon tea bundle and it was delicious, even had a jar of jam and pot of clotted cream with it. Served in an individual box with name on it. All well organised. Watched families having a lovely afternoon.

Very well set up even if Rocky wasn’t playing (he is only a baby) very informative and the birds are just majestic. Had a brilliant afternoon and will be returning to see more of these beautiful creatures

Faultless- fantastic opportunity to get up close to these magnificent creatures. Very well presented with a genuine care. We are currently going through a family bereavement but Alistair and this experience allowed us to take our mind off everything for a little while. Will revisit soon.

An amazing day with stunning, healthy, happy birds. Steve and Alastair were so helpful and knowledgeable. As a complete beginner to bird photography I learnt so much during the day. I took over 700 photos and am proud to say that there are quite a few I am happy to put on the walls at home. Have already booked to come back again later this year.

A brilliant experience being up close and personal with these beautiful birds of prey. The session was relaxed with everyone being included and plenty of photo opportunities too. I highly recommend it for anyone who would like to handle birds of prey. Another bonus was how well the birds were kept and treated by Alistair.
