Poor post-boiler service

Poor post-boiler service. After our boiler was serviced, we were told that two components needed replacing. We then waited over a month for a follow-up quote, but nothing was sent.

I have since emailed three times and still haven’t received a response. It’s now been weeks since the service, and we are no closer to getting the issue fixed. I even asked them to simply confirm the names of the two parts needed so I could arrange it myself, but they haven’t provided that either.

I’m on their monthly payment plan, which is supposed to offer some level of priority service, but this clearly hasn’t been the case. Very disappointing experience and poor communication throughout.

The Valliant Air Source pump …

The Valliant Air Source pumpe system was installed by by Annear’s in Spring this year. Now we have entered its first Winter test I am more than happy with it’s performance making our four bed stone barn warm and comfortable in the colder days, and helping to eliminate damp isses. Installation was smooth with a polite and efficient team and a couple of minor malfunctions have been sorted out quickly by an engineer’s visit just a couple of hours after phoning the ‘chirpy’ receptionist. I am more than peased with the system and service.

Elusive intermittent boiler fault

We had an intermittent fault with our boiler in as much it would rarely fire up, unless the engineer was on site when it would perform flawlessly. A service failed to cure the problem. Annears persisted with their support, accepted the videos we sent as ways to diagnose the fault. When the engineer turned up to fit the part, the boiler revealed its fault. It was apparent then that the fault was something else and needed a different part to the one they had suspected from the video. Within 24hrs of that we were sorted. Extremely grateful for their understanding, patience and tenacity in getting it sorted.

Boiler service

Not very impressed. He serviced the boiler but didn't check the central heating or the radiators or the flue, all of which has happened with every previous service going back years but never used this firm for a service before. Also I don't receive a bill until months later which isn't helpful when trying to budget.

Really sorry that you weren't happy with our service. However, our boiler service only cover's a service of the boiler. It does not include checking the entire central heating system. However, i can also assure you that the engineer would have checked the flue.

Rapid and efficient response

Rapid and efficient response. Plumbing engineer was punctual, polite and a good communicator as explained process throughout visit. Resolved problem on the day. Very satisfied.

Hot Water problem

I phoned 8am stating the water was boiling with steam coming from taps ,towel rail untouchable.
9-15am an engineer arrived problem solved.
That is good service especially as I have a disabled 92 year old husband,

Very reliable company

Exceptional service, above and beyond

I don't normally write reviews but the engineer, who I think was called Neil (he did say, it's my memory!) was exceptional. Did a full check on the boiler and also worked through a checklist with things like smoke detector dates and Co2 detector. Hecreplaced the Co2 detector immediately, at my request, as he had one handy. I would ask for Neil again when booking again next year as personable, efficient and explained everything, clearly knowing his stuff. Thank you.
